Okay I'm hereeeee, this is gonna be so rusty but its coming.

Chapter Eight: Trials.

Morag had managed to get a plea deal going for Ric while he has sat behind bars waiting for the trial to begin, it'd been two weeks since he was arrested for Rocco's murder and only smidges of evidence not relating to Ric's involvement had come forth. It wasn't enough to make him innocent, as frustrating as it was for everyone. The Summer Bay House had definitely been quieter since Ric was gone.

Sally had been hit hard over this, her emotions were everywhere and she just couldn't believe she had created such a mess. It was her first day back at school, and she just didn't even want to do that. She felt completely lost, to say Flynn was concerned was an understatement. He was, fully. But he had encouraged her to believe that they had to continue on as normal or what is going down with Ric is going to sink them. It was just a lot for her to take in, and she knew Flynn had a valid point.

Walking into school she took a deep breath as she went into her class to set up for the day, when not so much time later Brad comes in. "Welcome back, Sally, it's good to have you back."

Sally smiles, "Thank you, it's uh good to be back... haven't really started yet though, has it?"

Brad looked at her, "Regardless its lovely to have you back." He stroked her arm as he left. Sally raised an eye at that but brushed it off, and carried on her work.

The school day had gone really well, and she was glad to be going home, Flynn and her shifts had aligned so he would be getting home just after she would and to say she was looking forward to seeing him was an understatement. Walking through the front door she was greeted by Flynn, "Hey Sweetheart," He murmured leaning in for a kiss.

Sally dropped her bag and kissed him and wrapped her arms around him hugging him, "Hey baby." she whispered burying her head into his chest.

"Everything okay?" he asked, rubbing her back.

"Yeah, things are fine. I have just been so used to being at home in your company and I missed you." she spoke.

"I missed you too, Sal." he whispered. "So Morag phoned, more evidence has come to light and it may not have been Ric after all, but she's waiting for results before pushing for his release from jail, at least on bail."

Sally felt a slight relief, "I don't think he killed Rocco, at least if Rocco did die by Ric's actions, I don't think Ric's motive was to kill."

Flynn ran his hand through her hair, his favourite thing to do. "I don't think so either." He spoke, "I really hope he can come home soon."

Sally played with the back of his shirt, just relaxing into his arms. "I hope so too."

Flynn held her to him, willing to let her be as she was for as long as she needed. She sighed, as she kissed his chest through his shirt before looking up at him. "You know what? Lets go out for dinner, have a romantic dinner away just the two of us... I think we could do with a distraction."

Soooo Next time

Does their dinner go to plan? What happens?

Thanks guys for the support this chapter is super short, but I don't have a lot of time right now and this is all I had time to put together, and the next chapter is gonna be good!

Love your fanfiction. I read it before starting to write my Sally, Flynn, Cassie and Ric story Becoming a Family and now writing Now A Family.

I am so sorry for being so…. slow with this, and I am really keen to continue it. I have forgotten what I was supposed to write here, so plans have changed but I still know where I want to go with it :)

Chapter Nine: A Good Night.. Doesn’t Always Last.

Even though it felt strange that going out for dinner while Ric was struggling in jail and not out on bail yet, but after everything that Flynn and Sally had gone through lately he honestly didn’t think Ric would mind them taking a little time out for the both of them.

Flynn couldn’t get a table at The Sands, so the next best thing was The Diner, again. He was disappointed, but Sally was overly thrilled to just be eating out with him. She didn’t mind where they went as long as it was only the two of them.

Holding hands as they made their way over to a booth to sit at, Sally was chatting about her school day and how many students had wished her back. She didn’t fail to not mention Brad and his overly crowding, because she didn’t want their night being made uncomfortable via the Principal. In between they both had ordered food and Colleen was overly thrilled to cook for them.

Flynn always listened with avid content, his fingers in hers. He loved spending every single day with her, there truly wasn’t anyone else for him. He then told her about his own day, but he sighed.

“I think I have an idea for the renewal of our vows, I know we’ve not been able to think about it much lately.” He spoke, looking over at her.  Sally’s eyes lit up, and contently watched him, “How about outdoors, in the forest down from Stewarts Point?” He murmured, “Rustic forest vibes.”

“That’s perfect,” she whispered leaning over and kissing him gently. “I love it, and I love you, Flynn. We will do that, when everything comes back right.” She leaned in again kissing him.

They ate and had a relatively peaceful time, and soon headed back off home. Opening the door to their home, they both were kissing each other deeply. The intent to carry this on to their bedroom there.

Alf cleared his throat, breaking them apart with a startled surprise. “Sorry Alf, we didn’t expect you home.” Murmured Flynn a bit surprised. But he noticed he wasn’t here alone. Brad.

“Every time.” Mumbled Flynn quietly.

“Oh no worries, Brad needs a caravan the Sands had to give up his room for a family well, Brad offered. We have spares don’t we to rent?” asked Alf.

Flynn scratched the back of his neck, sighing, he wasn’t one to want people to be homeless but of course, this had to be Brad and he didn’t want him even more closer to his wife than he had been attempting to be already. Sally took a deep breath not taking her eyes off her husband as he went to sort out a key and the paperwork. She just wanted one night.

“Are we ever gonna get one day where you don’t happen to ruin something?” wondered Sally, tired and not in the mood for anyone but Flynn.

“Where was I supposed to go Sal?” asked Brad. “I tried to find a place to stay with others I know here, but no room. Rachel hasn’t got the room at the moment or she would have. I tried for her couch!”

“I don’t know, but this is tiring,” spoke Sally.

Brad sighed, if only she could see him the way he sees her then she should be more willing to be around him. Brad needed to be here in the caravan park to bring his plans to fruition.

As Flynn handed the key over, he just enabled Brad to continue in his plans. Brad looked at him, “Thank you, I will leave you to it now.”

As he left, so did Alf, and Flynn and Sally sighed and opened a glass of wine to help them back into the mood but it didn’t take long before they both were eagerly trying to get up the stairs.

Brad was unpacking his caravan, pictures of Sally started to litter around the bed. He would soon have her as his.

Next time:

Brad begins down the dark route to make Sally his.

What else will happen? Will it bring back the PTSD from Zoe?
