I think if a regular was always a pain in the neck we'd soon get fed up with them.   We can take it they are stroppy at times so we can yell at them until they go back to their usual selves.

Flick had a breakdown and Cash took that time out to look after her and get her back on track.  I don't think I'd be too far out if I said a bloke was behind it, hence Cash being so heavy on Tane getting close again.  Maybe a guy she met hurt her really badly. When we first met her she was the one who seemed in control of the guys she met up with, there was that fight between the two outside her van. It's when it's one to one relationships she can seem to get either clingy or not caring. It does seem her and Tane have reached an understanding just to be friends with him saying although they will have that connection it is too soon to be anything else.  Jas gave her the push to make up with Cash and it's helped them get back on an even footing.

Theo help a bit with Chloe and Ryder's business when Ryder was tied up with Marilyn but then seemed to expect them to go overboard with thanks.  He does try too hard to get Chloe to like him that would be a turn off for most women/girls.   He managed to get out of working at the garage again.

Marilyn is NOT the Marilyn we know, love and sometimes find annoying.   She has got tipsy at parties before now but not in the middle of the afternoon on her own.  Rather touching the scenes with Ryder and Marilyn, him trying to get her to bed, then her crashing out on the sofa and asking him to stay with her until she fell asleep.  She must have had quite a grip as he couldn't get free.  She has problems but she's not paranoid as Irene did ask Ryder to check up on her and Irene and Mac were behind Logan asking for a Tarot reading and were gossiping about her.  When Marilyn did her Tarot readings before she still had her full time job so money wouldn't be such a problem.

Let me get one little niggle out of the way - she hasn't seen Matthew for 20 years so how the hell did she  recognise him and from the back to boot??  He wouldn't have looked anything  like the guy he does now.

Awkward conversation  between Matthew and Mia, he's a barrister seemingly, may be a rich kid but he would have had to work hard to get where he is.  Seeing as he is Mia's age maybe one or wo years older - he may be thinking about not having any children himself, got thinking about Mia, did she keep their child, then saw the news about how her gym along with Salt was involved in the toxic attack- as I mentioned.  You know how news reports get Red, have to pick up anything they can relevant or not. Salt is owned by Mackenzie Booth daughter of Rick Booth blah, blah. The gym is owned by Mia Anderson and Ari Parata, they have a daughter.  Then  Mia let slip about their child being a  daughter  when she said Chloe wasn't Ari's.

It was inevitable he'd run in her even if it was by accident - what were the odds eh??? He does seem an OK guy, not bad looking either, but as we all know appearances can be very deceptive.   Oops Irene, innocently, gives him Chloe's business card so at least he knows she no slouch when it comes to working.

I think the Mia/Matthew situation is going to cause a lot of debate - to put it mildly. I like Mia btw.

It's the age old conundrum both remembering - well as much as they could seeing they were both drunk - things their way.  We know for sure they did have sex, but was it consensual is the question.  The way Matthew recalls it and as yet we don't have any cause to doubt him is he escorted Mia to the bedroom as she was drunk, they both fell on the bed, maybe started having a snog, Matthew started going further  and he took her not saying  'stop' or ' no' - cos she couldn't to mean she was OK with it.  He did remind her as Mia did us several times it was 20 years ago and they were kids so not fully in control of their emotions and there was drink involved. Unless of course he had planned it all. Mia remembers it differently, not surprisingly,  and must have been doing some reading up as it is only a recent offence to have sex with someone who isn't able to give consent.

How long before Mia cracks and tells Ari?

Well, Logan is probably wondering why he bothers, given that pretty much everything that could go wrong did.Mackenzie going round to see Marilyn was not the smartest move, and although Logan got some answers (and a psychological issue is looking most likely), it wasn't enough to satisfy Irene. Does Marilyn have a point? She was discharged pretty quickly but it seems there were no indications anything was wrong, and no-one else has suffered the same effects.

Bella has a second disastrous shift.I dunno, some of it feels a bit contrived:Bella's never been particularly clumsy, yet now she's dropping plates and food all over the place. Some proper training could help but maybe the fact she's never quite mastered human interaction is a problem. At least she wore the uniform! Dean, "Great news, you've been fired!" is not going to work all the time... Even if being a waitress wasn't Bella's lifelong ambition, it was something she'd done for herself to support herself and thought she was good at, so losing it was going to hit hard.

I also think Marilyn does have other problems, Mac said she clung to her when she found her yet on the other hand she's pushing people away.  Logan didn't know Mac was going to see Marilyn, best laid plans and all that, hoping to help, but it could have just made it worse.  The only ones really badly affected were Tane and Martha.  Irene is the only we know who hasn't had side effects and didn't they do follow on check ups on the others as a matter of course?  Marilyn was enjoying another afternoon tipple then later looked like she was having second thoughts and threw it away and looked pretty troubled.  Who was she talking to on her mobile - a help line maybe? She stopped Ryder answering her phone pretty quickly.

Justin  kind of had a point, about people  not leaving him alone when he was hooked on the prescription drugs, he had to come to the decision he needed by himself, her friends can be there for her but Maz will know when she is ready to accept it.   He may have had second thoughts though after she gate crashed his and Leah's 'relaxing' evening.  No way would the 'old' Maz just let herself into someone's home like that and barge into their bedroom. ??

Maybe Bella was trying too hard to impress which made her more clumsy?  She didn't have  a good start with the pouring of alcoholic  drinks when she hasn't got her qualifications, is she allowed to serve alcohol as in take it to a table? That could explain her ignoring that couple who were trying to get her attention.  Did I hear Ziggy say her dish was cold, but we saw Bella carrying it out from the kitchen - confused.com. but seeing as it ended up in her lap  maybe it was better it was cold.   I can't believe Bella just scrapped it back on the dish and said it looks OK.?    Her reaction was a bit OTT!!! Her confidence is going to need a lot of building up

Dean didn't do too well with his attempt of  getting back on a board, starting from scratch as if he was a novice.

Whilst I wasn't keen on Dean and Ziggy laughing and making fun of Bella when she was serving food, I have to admit I found it really funny when Dean told Bella she was fired from Salt on behalf of Mackenzie.  He seemed quite cold and almost relished doing it.  He and Ziggy seeming genuinely shocked at Bella's reaction was also pretty funny.  I don't think Dean should have been the one to tell Bella.  Whilst I take onboard Dean's point about Mackenzie not wanting to come across as unpleasant, it just looks like she didn't respect Bella enough to tell Bella herself.  I'm actually very surprised Ziggy went along with it as I would have thought she would prefer Mackenzie to break the bad news herself.

Marilyn seemed to get the better of Mackenzie when she confronted her about the complaint re Logan.  She seems pleasant enough when she's on good terms with people but there is a complete inability to empathise with people and understand how she comes across.  Letting herself into Justin and Leah's place and bursting in their room when they were in bed was ridiculous.

I assumed Marilyn's phone call was her complaint to the hospital board. There does seem to be something of a disparity between the fact that she's lonely yet she's unpleasant to anyone that is near her.Leah seems to have decided to just soak it up and not give a too contradictory opinion on the hospital complaint.Of course, now Leah has joined the increasingly long list of heavy hitters not in Summer Bay (is there a convention or something?) and left Justin to deal with it.I was amused by Leah and Marilyn obliviously talking all night. No mention of Luc in relation to VJ: Is Ash looking after her?

I like the idea of Bella getting back into photography. Not sure Dean and Ziggy ambushing her was the best way to make it happen but she was back taking photos soon after so maybe it worked? John is making a good mentor figure to Nikau: It's like with Alf getting more quick-tempered, he's suddenly more avuncular.

I wasn’t expecting Matthew to turn up so soon He seemed ok to me and Mia was being the unreasonable one till she mentioned the rape thing But I don’t know I could liked him lol

Maryilyn I kind of got bored of her being bitchy now

I enjoyed Bella dropping the pasta into Ziggys lap Bella feeling lost without a purpose yeah I can understand that these days myself

I have no interest in Dean and his surfing to be honest

There should be a dream seauence where "Good" and "Bad" Marilyn fight each other. Early Years throwback if you will. Then Real Marilyn wakes up and says to herself:

"No More Enchiladas before bed..."

Dean did volunteer to fire Bella on Mac's behalf though one moment it was Mac asked him to, the next he volunteered.?  May have been  a tad awkward if Mac had done it at Salt  she could have ended up with a plate of pasta over her head.   Dean's learnt from previous experience that sometimes you have to be tough with Bella. She wouldn't have thrown that camera away it was her mums, I think she'll get her mojo back.  Bella, once she'd calmed down did admit she'd over reacted.

I like the dynamic between John and Nik, reminds me a bit of John  and Jett.  It was a good suggestion of Nik's to take the class outside for them to get some practical experience, theory's all very well but hands on along side it, would I think make at all fall into place and make sense.   Along the lines of "oh I see why it says do it this way or that way". Shame they 'killed' the person they'd just rescued.?  The joking between john and Nik about the driving of the Polaris  was funny.

Seeing Nik getting so into life saving  brought it back to Dean about not being being fit enough yet to get back to surfing, be it physically or mentally.  Justin wisely reminded him of what happened when he tried to get back to surfing too soon.   At least Dean didn't have far to fall when he fell off his board and had a soft landing, obvious his pelvis hasn't fully healed.

Was Marilyn doing most of the talking during that long, long night with Leah just dropping in the odd yes, no, I understand?    She certainly took an ear bashing and no wonder they need those cups of tea.?☕☕

Ooh wonder what is wrong with VJ - an accident by the sounds of it if he's going to be in hospital for weeks.  I wondered about  Luc, hopefully as there was no mention of her she is OK.   Her suddenly dashing off did get her out of having to tell Justin Marilyn was moving in. ?  It was originally going to be with them but now it's so they won't each be alone while Leah is away - lucky Justin. ?

Same.

I don't know what it is about Dean but I'm just not really enjoying the interactions with other characters at the moment.  It seems to be focused around Mackenzie/Ziggy/Bella.  They've tried to get other people such as Logan and in the last episode Justin but I'm just not feeling it.  To me he seems to gel far better with Ari and (as much as I hate to admit) Mia than some of the other characters.

I do feel a bit sorry for Justin being lumbered with Marilyn.  It's funny how he was encouraging certain parts of her behaviour initially.
