Alf's episode count this week:Two. Despite which, still no credited guest cast!

Well, it seems Mackenzie's in deep, owing money to everyone and not having anything to pay them with.Dean's attempt at a rescue plan really didn't help at all: I guess she used up all her favours with Rick when he agreed to let her slowly pay back the money she took to buy Salt in the first place! It's going to be hard keeping this from Logan, especially with Ryder already having worked it out.

We see Cash and Jasmine as happy and relaxed as they've ever been, so obviously something was round the corner...Tempting to wonder what would have happened if she'd taken Robbo up on his offer to find her father.I can understand her not feeling anything:She accepted the fact he wasn't part of her life a long time ago, so in practical terms it makes no difference.Best to just give her space and let her handle it.

Roo's another one in limbo where a parent's concerned but at least she has Martha's phone number, plus Ryder there to give her one last push.

Dean really shouldn't have gone there contacting Rick he would have so enjoyed that, though I doubt if he could have foreseen the insurance not paying out.  Ryder helped out a lot when she was having her bad time - she seemed to have forgotten all that  - I  didn't realise he had access to her accounts.  Mac could play the feminine complaint that not wanting to a man to help her out of  a hole.

Yep of course it happens a couple - any couple - is happy and contented - look at Mia and Ari - soap cliche time again, now it's time for Cash & Jasmine.   I think that though Irene is concerned and Jas does have rejection issues from way back and is 'pretending' she  is OK as her dad  disappeared a long time for her life - 20 years - I'm guessing  - of course Cash doesn't know her whole history.    I wonder why it took the police so long to track her down - she didn't change her name.  I guess with his & Flick's history - it would seem strange that Jas is so distant. It would seem though her dad hadn't forgotten her.

Roo has a choice, Ryder didn't and although Evan didn't have a choice of a transplant - Roo needn't go too deeply - just talk to her.

I was quite enjoying the frenemies thing going on with Mackenzie and Felicity so a shame it looks like that's over.At least she didn't blame Ryder too much after he said just that little bit more than he wanted to about collaborating Dean.(Curiously, he didn't feel the need to mention finding the letter, which is what started it off.)Nice of Dean to bail her out himself, even if it is a drop in the ocean.

Talking of Felicity, it's kind of ironic that it was her typical bluntness that caused Jasmine to finally feel something, probably because she wasn't telling her that she should be upset that someone who walked out on her without a word 20 or so years ago has died (I think she still isn't grieving for him exactly) and instead suggested she should be upset because he did walk out on her without a word 20 or so years ago.

Wow, Chloe was bad enough already and now they've made her worse: She just seems to have no concept of personal space at the moment. She even managed to get Dean indulging her but Bella's still Bella: You can only put so much on her before she explodes.

Does the old 'last in and first out' rule still apply in the hospitality business or is it just people like Flick that have short term contracts?  Does Ryder and others  have a more 'secure' deal than Flick does?   Flick is no push over but she does get it.

Dean wouldn't earn that much but it meant a lot to Mac that he offered it.

Maybe back when he left Jasmine her dad  was hurting very badly, his wife had just died and maybe he felt he just couldn't cope with a very young daughter.  Over the years, as happens in life, he may have wanted to get in touch with her, but didn't know how and more he left it the harder it was and kept putting it off, was it the right time for her to get in touch after all this time.  Alf had that problem when he found out Martha was alive and had hidden it from Roo until he was trapped in the school.   Was it explained if Alexander died suddenly?  I thought we had seen another photo with Jas and her dad?

Wow Chloe was going way overboard - I get the breakfast was a lovely idea for putting her up overnight.  But her 'ideas' for suggesting/imposing her ideas for Bella's photography courses - not good!   Bella understood how Chloe was feeling - but she had to put a stop to it.  Saw Chloe's 'thoughts' about how she took it.   She has some serious problems, but who does Bella talk to - the Parata's have got their troubles and Bella doesn't want to burden them.

As ridiculous as Felicity refusing to be fired was...I'll go with it, if only for the fun interaction, including Ryder's "Oh heck, what have I done?" reaction. There was something oddly appropriate about Mackenzie and Felicity having a beer together (again, I'm reminded they were almost friends for five minutes until the whole business with Tane came between them), even if Felicity's rescue plan was typically insane.

I really don't know if Chloe took Nikau's taiaha or not, although she clearly didn't have it with her when she left the house, so if she did she must have hidden it somewhere. If she did, then that's especially cruel given it's a link to his father. So...are we to assume that Tane's being staying awake at night to intercept Mia if she sleepwalks again? Maybe he felt she was less likely to do it if she relaxed, but it would probably have been more sensible to tell her what she was doing.

Still not entirely clear whether Chloe hid Nikau's taiaha or not, but the smart money's on yes. He really does have trouble learning from his mistakes: I can understand him being upset, but again he played right into Chloe's hands and made himself look like the bad guy instead of playing it cool. Chloe did seem genuine in her scenes with Mia though so hard to get a handle on her.

I'm really not understanding Theo's thought processes here. Leah's spoken to Dimitri since he's been around and knows they fell out but stood by him anyway. It's unlikely that Dimitri would tell her the truth, and if he did then she'd be on Theo's side, and I'm not sure what lie he thinks would turn her against him, so why all the panic about being kicked out? I was vaguely amused by him making as much noise as possible in front of a hungover Justin.

So looks like Marilyn is not back to her old, well, irritating self after all. No idea what she was looking for in the bin...

Maybe the plot b/c it seems like she's lost it!

I'm not sure if Chloe took Nik's taiaha  or not, she didn't take it with her to her shift, could she have hidden it in the bathroom?  That was nasty of her calling it 'his little stick'  when she knows how much it means to him.  I understand Tane got Nik to apologise for accusing Chloe of 'stealing' it but he should have asked her to apologise for calling it such a demeaning name.  Chloe and Nik when he brought her over from NZ had a really good relationship and Bella was jealous at the time so it's a shame it's come to this.

It did give a clue that Tane looked rather knackered when Mia saw him - he had been watching over her.  Nodded off this time though as she could have had a really nasty accident.  I guess he didn't want to worry her so didn't tell her so I guess she hadn't wandered off since the last time.  I think Chloe seemed genuine with Mia.

Some good news for the Parata's - over $10,00 made for the fund raising.  I liked how Mia confided in Dean and he strongly advised her NOT to try any drugs.  Marilyn could help as I guess she is still into her health products which don't do any harm.  I like how Maz got a good dig in there about no-one told her about Ari's death and Mia was pleased that someone had congratulated her on her & Ari's wedding.  It was odd how she managed to get Mr. Stewart's and Roo's early morning drink mixed up - how long has she known them?

Was there a skip in scenes when Mac went off and then Flick found her in tears and confessed her troubles.  That Mac - and  a lot of people - accusing Flick of being Tane's stalker has been strangely forgiven.  Not as if Mac is slugging shots like last time, it's a few cans of beer.   I've no idea of what the rules are in a private, as in gambling party, in Aus.  I'm guessing no money is handed over at the door, any money won/lost is between the guests?

Wow Justin and Theo tidied up pretty well for when Leah came home, did they get any real food in?

Don't forget Dimitri's 'truth' would be different to Theo's 'truth' and he is the adult after all so of course his truth is the truth, plus Theo does have a bit of history. We don't know what Dimitri has been telling Leah and his spin on it.   I liked how Theo managed to not get hungover - unlike Justin so he is taking the apprenticeship seriously.    He got a bit slapped down by his careless handling of the appliances and calling Ziggy 'baby'.   Good for Ziggy by using the 'old fashioned' method of giving Theo her old manual instead of just looking at it on line as people do now.  You can't write helpful notes in it if it's online.

So we get an explanation for Marilyn's sudden regression.I must admit I'd forgotten that she was on medication. It was odd that Irene took her side when she was yelling at Roo and Logan for no reason, but she turned out to be the best person to talk her round.

And after all Theo's angsting, it turns out Leah's big reveal was...Dimitri doesn't want to see him.Which we kind of knew already.Still, Ziggy did a good job collaring him:It seems there's been a lot of progress from just a week or so ago when she didn't want him as an apprentice!

A last minute twist with the arrival of Xander, who I notice is credited as a regular already so probably will turn out to not be an axe murderer... And right after Marilyn saying all Jasmine's family has passed too!
