I'd forgotten Maz had been prescribed meds, but why was she embarrassed by taking them - not a good idea as Logan said just to stop taking them - she could have just taken them quietly wherever she was visiting.  Roo may have been irritating as is her wont sometimes   and it did look like stalking to me, definitely would not have calmed Maz down.  I was wondering what the BIG secret was Marilyn was hiding.?

Luckily Logan was at a very loose end as Mac was 'very' busy at work - Dean was very circumspect at why she seemed to be avoiding Logan and 'agreed' with Logan's explanation.  It did leave him free to examine Marilyn, just like that of course a doctor can drop anything he was planning to do and he isn't her doctor anymore anyway.

It seemed that Justin & Theo didn't clean up after all.  It looked like a right tip.   Of course Theo had gone missing just before she turned up so had to hunt him down or rather Ziggy found him, he didn't want to leave but then he didn't know what his dad had told Leah so they may have felt they should tell him to leave.

It didn't make sense to Leah or Justin that Theo was relieved that his dad didn't want to reconnect with  him anymore - odd term - but it did to us, they don't know what we know.  How many pizza boxes did Leah clean out of the fridge??

Why in earth did Irene decide to just open her back door before she asked who it was knocking on her door at night?  I know Xander wasn't an axe murderer but he was a total stranger!  She could have looked through the window and asked who it was.?  Irene didn't know him from Adam and who calls at a strangers house late at night anyway.  Though, also would he have just been able to turn up without prior warning as Jasmine knows nought about him really, should he not have gone through some sort of protocol/procedure?   He's not alone by the looks of it.

Last time I checked, there was no law against knocking on the door of someone you've never met and asking to see them! Protocols for contacting hitherto unknown adult family members: Soaps would be one of the few places where they'd actually apply...

Alf's episode count:Suspended.

I kind of sympathise with everyone in the Delaney family reunion. Jasmine's definitely had the rug pulled from under her here, leading to her spending a bit longer in denial than was really necessary (she seems to have known deep down that Xander was telling the truth very quickly). From her recent comments, it seemed she coped with her father's abandonment by telling herself that he'd have been a bad father if he'd stuck around so she was better off without him. Now she learns that he could have been a good father to her if he'd been willing to face up to abandoning her, but instead he cut her out and focused all his attention on his second attempt. And it's a jolt for Xander and Rose too, who have to reassess their whole lives: They grew up with a loving father and now know they were getting Jasmine's share of his love as well. But yeah, Jasmine really shouldn't take decisions their father made before Xander and Rose were born out on them. They're both credited as regulars, so that kind of takes away the "Will they stay or will they go?" tension.

Elsewhere, having sworn Logan to secrecy over her medication decision, Marilyn ends up blurting herself out straightaway. So, if the show commits to it, it seems this problem isn't going to go away any time soon, with her seemingly on medication for the rest of her life.

I  didn't honestly clock Xander was named after his and Jasmine's dad - doh?!  Also suddenly Jasmine saw the similarity  to them both.   Did kind of like Rose's burbling away that she and Xander were half brother/sister and it made her and Jasmine not quite half sisters. I did get the feeling Rose did take a fancy to Cash but he did tell he was 'taken' but of course she doesn't know her new relative is his other half - yet.   She did give them the once over when she saw them snogging by his car.  Oh a brief glimpse of the sea pool.

Jasmine would be torn - wanting and not wanting to know what kind of dad he was to Xander & Rose and he seemed a  good husband to Rose and Xander's mum.  Must have hurt to hear how he was such a good dad, especially as Rose wasn't a biological  dad to her. I may have misremembered that Jasmine's mum died very suddenly -  car accident -  and they loved each other very much.  It may have seemed the best decision for him then. Xander and Rose didn't know about Jas, but did their mum but kept it quiet?  Will we be seeing her in the future?

I don't blame Jas for being wary about this money - however much it is, that is if it is money - could be property - as we and John - are aware there are con artists out there, never mind their age. Rose is older than Xander but  old do we think Xander & Rose are?

Apparently Luke Van Os - Xander  - is a cousin of Chris Hemsworth - aka Kim Hyde back in the day.

Leah was still fretting about Dimitri and his hard line on Theo - it seemed Theo's account to John of his mum just 'obeying' his dad rang true according to Leah's summing up of her, just agreeing with Dimitri.

That was the 'old' Marilyn we saw when 'confessing' she'd stopped taking her meds. ?  Maybe it was because she is  - or was - into taking healthy foods and supplements and not wanting to take prescription drugs for all time.   She should know her friends wouldn't judge her, they were just worried about her. I do hope though they they don't keep asking her if she has taken her meds!  That would really aggravate me!  Raffy got fed up with everyone nagging about her epilepsy meds.

So, it's Cash's turn to be rude to someone because of something that happened before they were born.Him laying a guilt trip on Rose was both unfair and unhelpful: I doubt Jasmine will thank him for this interference, given her expression at the end.A shame, because up until that point I was thinking how good it was to see Jasmine with a nice normal boyfriend for once.Unless they're the executors or something, I'm not sure why it's up to Xander and Rose to make sure Jasmine takes the money: The smart thing here would be to step back and let the solicitor handle things, which Rose even suggested last episode. (Were we ever told Jasmine's father's name before that "You've got his name" comment, by the way?) At least Rose got to prove her action girl credentials by taking down a thief!

Logan thinks he's come to Mackenzie's rescue but it seems like it was just another drop in the ocean.I'm guessing scenes got moved around: The debt collector guy at the start was credited on the previous episode instead, and Ryder was in one scene near the end of the episode and didn't get a credit either!

There’s been far too much Partas lately Having skipped most the Ari rubbish the other stories surrounding that have been ridiculous Mia sleeping walking and Chloe turning into a strange psycho stalker with Bella like what on earth is this nonsense

Also Logan not knowing that Mackenzie and Ari were together I thought was totally unrealistic I mean didn’t they ever talk about it

But I’m back to see how Mackenzies poker nights story pans out that could be interesting

It was Rosie dropping the fact that Alexander - his name was on Jasmine's BTB character profile - but I don't think she has said it out loud -  that he said he and his first wife had drifted apart.  Daddy did lie about that - why though, was it too hard for him to say he was a widower?  Xander didn't know that either. Cash did say it would feel like Jasmine would feel more abandonment issues though he's second guessing her there.  I feel that if Xander was just telling anyone else about his life with his dad, to him it was just an 'ordinary' son/dad lifestyle but to Jasmine it meant so much more as she missed out on all that.  Did Rose & Xander say if their mum was still alive?

I think Rose had mentioned the solicitor did say it would mean there would be a lot of paperwork to sign off if Jasmine didn't want the money.  Would her share be split between Xander and Rose?  Anyways if it was me I'd take it then I can do what I want with it - give it to a charity or someone who needs it locally, donate it to the Hospital.

Not wanting to be cynical but  I get the feeling Rose may be more interested in Cash as  likely boyfriend material than looking after Jas'  feelings.

Good twist that Cash didn't know Rose was Xander's half sister until he saw her name on her badge, was it really just Jas that saw them together?  Rose has earned a lot of kudos in the Diner, though that might make it awkward for Irene with Jasmine.

I don't normally spot guest credits at the end but I spotted 'debt collector' guy. ?  I don't believe for a moment Logan bought Mac's explanation it was a DD/payments mix up.  They don't bring in the debt collectors until all other avenues have been pursued.  I know nowadays it's all online but there is still, I think, proper paperwork to be be forwarded and signed for by the person who is being chased for payment.

It could be seen as sexist as Logan looking after his 'other halves' financial troubles by paying off her debt as she is the woman.?  Luckily Mac took it a lot calmer than she might have done and saw  it as someone who cared about her and not a blokey thing.  She does have every intention of paying him back, though of course there are others coming out of the woodwork.  Hence her wanting to talk with Flick about her idea.  It does look like it could cause problems with Flick & Tane.

I think Mac  briefly mentioned Ari as an ex with Logan, but didn't go into much detail.

As has been mentioned a few times, Xander Snr (I don't know who put the name Alexander on Jasmine's profile but it wasn't me!) never told his second family anything about his first family, Rose was just assuming they drifted apart. So yes, Jasmine was less than keen with Cash's interference. I think Xander wants a relationship with her but only if she wants one, while Rose seems desperate to get a happy ending out of this. Anyway, I'm glad Jasmine seemed a bit more willing to talk to them. They had different relationships with their father (or possibly the same relationship at different times) but in a sense they're all victims in this, since they were all denied a relationship growing up by his silence.

Things are bad enough for Mackenzie that she's forced to turn to Felicity as her saviour. I'm surprised that Ryder was so keen to take part in an illegal gambling club, given that he's mostly a straight arrow these days. The moment Mia told Tane to go off and find Felicity, it was obvious it was going to end with her, a big meal and no-one to share it with.I know the farm is meant to be out in the sticks (sometimes...) but is it really that much trouble for Mia or Tane to just go out there and talk to Nikau and Chloe, rather than relying on pleading voicemails?

Okay, so Mia did manage to head over to the farm in person, but ironically she chose the one night when Chloe wasn’t there. It was unfair of her to take it out on Tane, the one member of the family still willing to spend time with her, but at least she apologised. Dean getting snippy with him was uncalled for as well. Chloe’s lies became increasingly transparent and her victim acts seems to be wearing a bit thin.

Looks like the poker night was a success then, in more ways than one. Well, unless you’re one of the drones stood at the bottom of the stairs trying to work out what “closed” means. Looks like Marilyn may be seeking a new direction, given her apathy over the Diner? Except that next episode she’s suddenly relying on the Diner to give her life meaning!

Oh, and after all that, Dimitri’s turned up after all. It’s a shame that we’ve got a rare occasion of a character turning up after over a decade’s absence, played by the same actor no less, and it’s just to be a guest villain. It kind of undoes his 2003 character arc, where he noted he’d been too busy being the dutiful son to have a proper relationship with his siblings and managed to relax a bit and get on better with Leah and Alex, although it fits his 2000s portrayal for him to be more concerned with the appearance of things than the reality. Ironic that the BTTB archaeologists unearthed a reference to him being married with two children and another on the way, only for the show to seemingly decide that he, Cassandra and Theo are the whole family! So where’s she gone anyway?
