We kind of saw the other side of the whole "You don't have to go to work yet" routine here. Not so long ago, Felicity refused to let Tane make her late for work, but he had no such qualms here...but even if he didn't know Chloe had somewhere else to be, he knew she was there on her own and presumably when she was supposed to leave. It was pretty dizzying trying to keep track of Felicity's new friends: I think Remi and Eden went only named once, then I spent the rest of the episode trying to remember which was which.(Remi's the one played by the guy who was a dodgy doctor in Neighbours at the beginning of the year!) They seemed a likable bunch, although for a supposed couple, Bob and Kirby act as though they don't even like each other. It was presumptuous for Felicity to invite them to stay without consulting anyone, but I'd have a hard time saying no to that face!

(One of the many problems with Chloe is that she's another case of the show turning a character into a killer, albeit an accidental one this time, and then expecting the audience to just shrug it off and root for them. Some people find that hard to do.)

I don't want to be right because I quite like her, but given that Naomi's only a guest, there's that niggling feeling that she's going to have to leave at some point, so a part of me's a bit suspicious about her nominating Nikau and then offering to accompany him.Was that the plan all along?

A quick pow-wow with Dean later and Ziggy's all on board with being Theo's mentor. I can understand Justin not wanting to tell him until it's all sorted, but at the same time, having him do menial tasks without a light at the end of the tunnel could be quite dispiriting.

Was  a switch for Tane shirking his duties and leaving Chloe struggling.  Even Nik ducked out on her when Naomi called him to go for a  coffee.

They were bit if a blur weren't they, I'm guessing she must have given them her address rather just saying she was living in Summer Bay.  Seems she has known them for  a good while.  According to the forum they are Edwin, Kirby, Bob and Remi, now we only have to remember who is whom.   'Invisible' neighbours seemed to enjoy the impromptu gig so far, John missed that and if any gigs go on into the night they won't be so happy.   Bob at first glance seems to be the one to keep an eye on.

Tane wasn't that impressed but maybe it's because he's become a tad more respectable since he first arrived in the bay.  Yeh right one night - believe that if you must.    I know she lives there now but it isn't 'her' house to fling out invitations to.   That smile did do it for Tane, but how is Nik going to take it and Chloe?  I suppose they will be camping out in the garden?

Chloe is going to need to make a choice between the Diner and the gym.

Is Naomi playing a kind of Xander role she does seem to be obsessing with Nik, nominating him for the bravery award. OK it was her sister he saved but why isn't Goldie nominating him?  We know how he gets with being in the forefront of things, he was embarrassed enough with John announcing the nomination.

Wrongs and rights of Justin not wanting to let Theo know Ziggy will be his overseer - is that the right word - until she's been OK'd as she does have to be accredited.  Unless TAFE are going to be really picky as Justin was her trainer so say no.

Anyone else had enough of Lyrik already? They’re not a demographic the show is lacking, it’s almost like the writers are just bored of the characters they’ve got.

I hadn't really thought about it in demographic terms. It's certainly true the show's lost a lot of characters this year and needed to replace them, but all the new characters seem to be 20-somethings, whereas the outgoings include Ari and Mia, who were older parental figures, and Ryder and Bella, who were probably not that far off in age terms but felt like they were still being written as teens a lot of the time. Anyway, the trend towards young adult characters instead of the traditional "found family" groups aside, I don't mind them, although they could get a bit wearing if they continue to be that in-your-face. It was nice that Tane came out and got to know them instead of hiding away in his room, after setting out some ground rules.

I'm assuming/hoping that Nikau told Bella about Naomi in his call; I guess that, plus some sage words from John, was enough to make him a bit more comfortable around her.

Meanwhile, Mackenzie is still adjusting to having Felicity as a partner, with Dean being the one required to give sage words this time. And just as she's coming round, Felicity comes out with another brilliant idea...

So far we've only seen what some could say is their annoying side.   Neighbours seemed to enjoy their music and it appears we'll be hearing from them at SALT.  John has yet to meet them, that'll be fun.

Tane was quite reasonable about how they should treat the place which they took very well.  When we first saw him he didn't seem that bothered about how people treated the place he was living in.  What the hell was Eden playing at though, just thinking it'd be OK to just get into someone else's bed?? Then Remi joins her!  OK fair enough it was in the morning and Nik wasn't there.

Felicity is very over enthusiastic but got dispirited with Mac's knocking her back every time.   Mac has been there long enough to know you don't just change the menu without talking to the chef and get his/her thoughts.   Dean very wisely kept out of the battle  until Mac asked his opinion.  OK they are partners but it's not written in stone they will agree with each other over everything. Flick is great with her 'brilliant' ideas. ?

Nik would be fine if Bella was there, she'd be his support.  Nik is still limping convincingly so good to see his 'injury' hasn't been miraculously healed.   I still get the sense Naomi has got feelings for Nik, she looked disappointed when she met him in the Diner then cheered up when he said he'd liked to go tot the Awards Dinner with her.

Apparently Ethan Brown had an op on his shoulder hence the sling.

Felicity seemed to jump more than one gun here, assuming Lyrik will be playing at Salt that night without consulting either Mackenzie or the band themselves.Mackenzie, as it turns out, came round extremely quickly after her initial hollow laughter and I like how she threw herself into the idea and set out to make it as big a success as possible. And Felicity actually turned out to be pretty good at the organising side, leaving her only sticking point being the band...or, specifically, Bob, who seems to get more antagonistic by the episode. At least there was more of a sense of him and Kirby as a couple here, as she has a rather apt word in his ear after he refuses to abide by the vote. And Remi and Eden dreaming of getting rid of him before remembering why they need him kind of settled that issue well.

As amusing as I found Felicity anticipating her demise at Mackenzie's hands, she has had mental health problems in the past, so her panic attack at the end was believable and somewhat unsettling. There does seem to be a lot riding on this.

Well, after all Felicity's worrying, the night went well and she's well and truly in Mackenzie's good books; I liked Mackenzie learning to be hands-off. However abrasive he might be at times, Bob's definitely a showman and knows how to work a crowd.Remi struck out with both Ziggy and Mackenzie("Demi"), although he took Dean's threats in good humour.

I'm having a hard time relating to Cash here, even though it does sound like Eden treated him in a pretty rubbish manner. He seems overly fond of his squeaky clean image: It's what caused all the trouble with Jasmine and Rose, and now he seems worried about people finding out that, shock horror, he's got a history.I'm also having a hard time getting my head around him having a crush on his little sister's friend: They were talking as though he was a seventeen-year-old looking for excuses to hang around Eden, not a grown man. Anyway, Eden did right to clear the air so I hope Felicity doesn't have a go at her for going near Cash.

While I’m not that interested in the show at the moment  it looks like they are moving away from the Cash and Rose nonsense which is good
