I keep forgetting to say this so I'll lead with it: Why did Dean act as though he had no idea who Remi was last week when he'd already warned him off Ziggy? Does he threaten so many people they all merge into one?

Well, Tane is belatedly learning that you can't protect people by lying to them, as he dripfeeds a bit more information to Nikau and then belatedly brings Chloe into the loop: If she'd been told earlier, she wouldn't have shouted out to Tex like that and put Theo on his radar. I'm not sure Tane was right that Tex and co were keeping them busy since they didn't actually do anything for the rest of the episode: It may well have just been straightforward intimidation. And of course, Felicity just gets a vague explanation...

I did enjoy Justin's nervous stage dad act.Even with Bob gone, there seems to be differences of opinion among the band, with Remi being the oddball again.

Home and Away is the only thing I watch on Channel 5 these days so I'm kind of blind to how much it's being promoted.Promos for both HA and Neighbours have always tended to focus on the more dramatic stuff: As much as us old fogeys might complain that it wasn't like that in our day, there are audience members who are more like to be lured in by something like that than by the prospect of a bunch of old people talking.

(Hilariously, Channel 5 paired today's episode with the subtitles for completely the wrong episode, one from later in the week or possibly next week by the look of it. I kept waiting for them to realise, hastily pull them and put up a "Sorry there are no subtitles on this programme" caption, but they just kept on going right to the end. It was like watching two episodes at once.)

Having skimmed over the episode, the closest I could find was:
PK: Hey, Ziggy, can you go take care of Doug? He might need a shoulder to cry on.
ZIGGY: Sure.

So, yeah, Lyrik's auditions produced some...interesting characters. The Death Metal(?) guy had me in stitches, as everyone's jaws dropped to the floor. John, Justin and Dean playing Statler and Waldorf was rather amusing and Dean's obviously learned how to get rid of John.(Tell him there's something free outside!)I continue to like Felicity and Mackenzie's genuine friendship and business partnership, and it was nice that Mackenzie does actually seem to have relaxed, even though she got more concerned as things fell apart more and more. Kirby's "The answer is literally staring us in the face: We hold auditions!" felt like someone strung a few words together into a sentence without checking if it made sense. How is that staring them in the face, especially literally? If she'd been suggesting they hire Felicity, who was actually staring them in the face, that would have made sense...

But yep, in the end Theo looks like the frontrunner.Hopefully Justin's right that he can do that and keep on top of his study, because a part of me can see Ziggy's point, especially given she's given stuff up to mentor him.

It was just one word he said to her as he was leaving the surf club at about 4 mins into the episode and sounded like it began with the letter T but im not sure. I just cant make it out and its bugging me lol, Thanks anyway for your response!

"Day for it" (as in "it's a good day for it")

Not that it really made much sense in the context of the scene...

Oh thanks so much! It had been bugging me a lot and i had been watching the scene over and over again. I would never have thought that's what he said, as like you said it doesn't really make much sense! No wonder Ziggy looked a bit confused!

If that's Chloe gone off to live with Mia, I'm not entirely sure why the show didn't just write them out together rather than have her hang around not really doing much for a few months. And I guess that's them well and truly off the hook over killing Matthew, and Mia off the hook over using stolen money to buy the gym, with Tane left to deal with the mess she's made: The Paratas really would have been better off if she'd never turned up.On a similar note, while part of me appreciated seeing Bella again (and not just on a phone screen!) and I'm not exactly heartbroken about her and Nikau breaking up, I'd rather our last sight of her had been her driving off in a taxi to a new start rather than crying on a bed.Oh well, hopefully Emmett will keep her on! (Even if it's not saying much for Dean et al if Nikau was her only reason for coming back...)

So, now we've established who's staying and who's going, it seems Tane has filled Felicity in on the whole thing, as Tex finds things spiralling out of control, not that he'll admit that.I think everyone's doing Rose a bit of a disservice: Just because she's dating Tex doesn't mean she'd ignore a complaint about him.Tane went from insisting to Felicity that they couldn't tell the police (because that always works...) to threatening Tex with them rather abruptly, but maybe he was hoping the threat would be enough.

Not much else going on except the show finding a way to keep Alf on the show and Martha off the show without splitting them up, at least for now...

It did get a bit X Factor - who was the Simon Cowell character do we think?  Can't see him and the others using Lyrik's method of choice.?  It's like the old films you see and there's a character that suddenly says "Let's hold it here".  News certainly got around going by the number of the varied - very varied -  musicians that turned up.    Not sure what Alf would have made of it, so maybe it was just as well he was away.

Don't forget it was only Chloe, Justin and Leah who had heard him sing and play before and the look on Chloe's face when she heard him was lovely.  For a first time singing and playing in public the boy did good.

Dean certainly does seem to zone in on Remi.  I think he just seems that kind of guy who likes 'flirting' with young women.

Talking of Dean won't Bella being ringing him after being dumped by Nik?  She's bound to wanting to know if he knows why Nik's dumped her so of course he'll be right round to the Parata's, demanding answers.  Would the bikkies really be trekking half way round the world to try and track down someone who's close to the Parata's to put pressure on them to obey their 'rules' ?

Chloe had to stay on to work out how Mia & Ari - it was him that did the armed robbery after all -  paid for the gym in cash.  I know a lot of people on here don't like her, but I did and it's going to break Theo's heart her just disappearing like that and not being to contact him.  Not only him affected there'll be Justin, Leah, Irene and Marilyn who'll be wanting to know what the hell has happened, A family emergency is the old one, but then no news ever!

Was the bikers doing their strutting their stuff meant t show the Parata's they meant business?  Didn't guess Tane had ducked out though did they?  Tane told Flick to lock the doors and she did lock the back door but he just walked in the front one when he came back!

At least Flick is aware of all that is going on and although scared not going anywhere.   Lyrik, very quickly, decamped to Justin's didn't they,  can't see Leah being overjoyed by overtaken by them.

I can see both sides of Theo wanting to take his apprenticeship and joining the band, but I think Ziggy's got her head on straighter than Justin has.   He's only just started and he was finding it hard enough to concentrate without the added pressure of being in a band and what that would involve.  Ziggy has put a lot into it to be his supervisor and teaching isn't her forte.

Tane did jump to conclusions that Tex had Rose in his back pocket, she doesn't know - yet - who he is and what he is up to.    I may be way way out here, but he did ignore all those calls from Marty and it got me thinking maybe he's an undercover cop who's after bringing them down.   Tane did enjoy telling Tex Chloe was safe from him and the crew.

I did wonder where this new name had come from in the TV Times  for H&A next week, and now Chloe has gone and Tex has mentioned someone coming in to look over the gyms books  I know who they are.??

I'm an old fogie like you Red and things have changed over the years in Summer Bay - never watched Neighbours so can't comment on theories that some have -   like most soaps TPTB have to keep up with the times, have to have a mixture of old and new folk and I guess more dramatic trailers  draw people in or regulars to keep watching.  It can't be all high drama though, it'd be too exhausting.

I have to say Alf's idea isn't his best - just one week in Merimbula and the rest of the month in the bay?

I was sad to see Bella and Nik break up because they always came across like an old married couple in young bodies but hopefully whenever Nik leaves in the future they'll reunite!

Not a huge fan of Tex but I could kiss him for finally being the reason Chloe has whined her last in the bay, halleljah!?

I did laugh at the way Tane said. 'No wonder he's not afraid of cops, he's sleeping with one'! ?

It was abit silly for Bella and Nik to break the bikers won’t be around forever haha

Why didn’t Tane just tell Rose who Tex was Instead of having her guess make things easier for everyone

Alf hasn’t got much of a marriage if he only sees Martha for a week out of six months

Rose quickly proves everyone wrong about her by investigating Tex the moment she has the slightest inkling that there's something suspect about him.It seemed like a good idea at the time, but turns out Irene and Marilyn were in a bit too much of a rush to hire him.Still, Alf seems happy to take up the slack.

It seems to be the day for Irene discovering where good intentions can lead, as Xander ends up misinterpreting her attempts at small talk as an ambush. And he then decides to throw Rose under the bus, although amusingly neither Irene nor Cash really picked up on what he said and instead thought it was all about Cash's innocent night with her.Oh well, at least it's caused him to admit he has a problem.

Personally, I hope Nikau and Bella's latest break-up sticks.I'm sorry, but I've never found them remotely convincing as a couple or thought he was good enough for her.
