It’s better if you watch it in blocks because otherwise nothing seems to happen these days when watching single episodes I think

Yeah, sometimes you just get 22 mins of absolute cack.

Did enjoy Palmer's refusal to get in on the Bongos, though. In an alternate script, He probably would have and joined in and sung so badly he killed the vibe (intentionally)!?

Yeh my second theory was right!!!!?  It was very convenient there was a passing motorist who saw the whole thing.  Rose, as it seems most coppers at Yabby Creek do, bent the rules as she thought it would help Cash, I did have the thought he may have had some flashbacks when he read the report.  Hopefully not many cops, least of all those in a small town would need to use their guns. Time to worry is when a cop isn't bothered when they kill someone. I can see why Felicity was so concerned and asked Bree to look out for Cash seeing as what happened to their dad was he the strong silent type?    I had forgotten Flick had a breakdown.

I guess Lyrik need to get their name out there again as being able to play whenever people want, Kirby did say one of their regulars had booked someone else.   Typical of John to shut Remi down, the crowd, though small, were enjoying it.  Would Remi have needed a licence to play - plus of course he was nicking John's/the surf club's electrical supply.?

They all loved the van, Remi checking out how much booze they could get in it.   Justin's only warning was not to crash it.   He was over the moon about playing with them, maybe it satisfied something in him and got it out of his system.

Good news - Theo passed his latest assignment, though now as it could look like they may be going out on more gigs, his schedule may be a bit tighter.   The 'we can't do this' agreement didn't last did it.  ?

Isn't there a pathway next to John's house on the other side, Theo was following Kirby back to Lyrik's house after ducking out of Justin and Leah's.  I know Theo got rid of Justin and Leah by getting them to have dinner at SALT so he and Kirby could have some down time? but did they stay out all night?

Dean had certainly kept quiet about him knowing all about the deal with Tane and the bikies, and worked out that it was Ari (and Mia) being behind it, using dodgy money to buy the gym, admittedly years after it was stolen.   I liked how any lingering resentment there was had been forgotten on both sides, Ziggy did dump Tane to go to back to Dean, and how Dean said he'd be there for Tane.

Looks like it could be dodgy for Tane if his court case comes up after the Committe/Council have their meeting about what to do with the renewing Tane's lease of the gym, it has been closed more than it's been open recently.

That was sneakily dropped in that Ziggy's car had been found.  No sign of the guy though, perhaps he realised it was too hot to handle.

Well, I'm glad we heard that Bella's happy.I'd have liked to have seen her positive socials, but maybe the show couldn't afford to fly Courtney Miller out to New York...Instead we have to sit through her and Nikau's spectacularly awkward "romantic" moment when they were in hiding so she didn't give away that her brother killed her dad.Oh well, Nikau's finally agreed to leave her alone and let her move on:As a rule, she tended to cope better without him than the other way round.Dean tells Nikau he knows everything but...does he? I'm not sure Tane has filled him in about working with the police.

It didn't take long for Kirby to go back there with Theo again! (Yes, Justin and Leah did come back the previous night, Theo said he saw them go out again.) Alf was a bit more mellow than he's tended to be lately, I was expecting him to come in grumbling, especially when he demanded Roo join him for a meal.

Whilst I was amused by Ziggy's skitterish behaviour, if you look at it seriously, she's blaming herself for her boyfriend punching another man just for talking to her and is scared of upsetting him or being seen with other men by him in case he does it again. I'm sure it'll turn out Ziggy's overreacting, but storylines like this leave me thinking that soaps in general and this one in particular really need to notice that it's the 21st century and think about how the "manly men" they're so fond of actually look to a modern audience.

Incredibly cheesy with Theo singing Kirby a song please stop singing Theo

while I guess Ziggy and Dean stuff was meant to be awkward and funny I didn’t really understand why they were plus I didn’t really care haha crap episode I thought

Maybe it's the tranquility of Merimbula even with Kieran there. I'm guessing there's a lake in close proximity to Martha's place where he can fish with a few tinnies.

I guess they could have faked 'seeing' Bella in New York, just shown her in front of well-known buildings, you know the usual ones, Empire State, Macey's. ?

Very wise words from Dean, see he's not always an unthinking thug like some on here seem to think.  Could he have been talking about Amber?  He could have been economical with the truth, but he did mention the trial was still to happen so no-one knows if they all get put in prison and they would have mates.  Going off on a tandem and its academic anyway as he isn't going but could Nik get on a flight to New York just like that?  Where was he going to get the money from?  Wouldn't he need a Covid pass, health checks, the USA are/were a lot hotter about that sort of thing. He'd definitely need a visa.

Theo seemed to come across as harassing Kirby by insisting he and she carry on behind the groups back, but she has been there with Bob, she had mentioned he was a nice guy when they first met, they all said that, and while she shouldn't judge a new guy on her last one's behaviour it's not just themselves they to think about. The fall out with Bob wasn't good.  Theo does seem to have got over Chloe very quickly though.

Alf did look a lot more relaxed, even after his drive, definitely more so than Roo was.  Why do we rarely see people eat in soaps, meal is put in front of them, they take a couple of bites, then next time, it's being taken away.  Roo was faffing about not eating hers and after Alf had paid for a hopefully tasty steak.  He liked it there, he liked the chooks and as an afterthought(?) Kieran. ?

I'm wondering if Mac may have touched on a nerve when she suggested Ziggy may fancy Remi. Just because you are in a relationship with someone doesn't mean you can't fancy someone else.  Ziggy was jittery around Remi, but he doesn't help with his flirty nature. He did admit it wasn't the first time a bloke had hit him and that it probably won't be the last.  I see where Mac was coming from, she said she was walking on eggshells at home as she was nervous of saying the wrong thing and now finding she was doing the same thing at her business, that could so wear you down. Remi and Dean are very different guys but they could, if not bosom buddies, at least be friends.

Another week flown by. For a minute I was thinking this was Nikau's write-out, and to be honest I thought there were worse ways to do it than reuniting him with Bella, even though he's been treating her pretty shoddily of late. But no, Dean proves his genre-savviness and tells him there's no point because she'll only get hurt when the Paratas land in their next mess. So we're stuck with Nikau a while longer, it seems.

Glad Mackenzie bashed Ziggy and Dean's heads together. It seems we're always getting manufactured reasons for them to be having low-key arguments of late, so a break away from the Bay is probably exactly what they need.

The band is growing on me. At least none of them are miserable or stomping about like most of the rest of the younger cast, although no doubt that can't last forever. Theo and Kirby continues to be a bit overblown and it's all based on a silly premise of the other band members dictating their private lives to them, which just isn't a real-world thing in bands, I'm sure. But willing to see where it goes. Enjoyed Justin ingratiating himself with the band and buying them the van - some nice community vibes going on there.

I have absolutely nothing to add about Cash, Felicity, Tane, Xander or Rose. Oh, except to say... anyone getting a bit of a 'more than brother-and-sister' vibe with the last two? I think they're being written more like lovers than siblings - I don't think it's deliberate but I put it down to the same overwrought scripts that Theo and Kirby are suffering from.

And finally, after what seems like forever it looks like things are about to happen with the stalwarts beyond sitting around that table in the Diner talking about Alf's trips to Merimbula. Nice to see Roo back in a bit of a nurturing role, although evidently there is more to Heather than meets the eye, judging by her sneaky photo of Marilyn...
