Part of me was thinking it was a shame he didn't do more damage to that guys arm who hit Remi over the head.

Really? You would have thought that was acceptable?

Bree being married is a bit out of left field but I guess it underlines the fact that we know very little about her and nothing about her home life. She seems to be free to spend evenings in Salt on her own though? I'm in two minds about Remi's behaviour. He is acting a bit entitled, but Bree does seem to send out mixed messages at times.Of course, just because she enjoys his company doesn't mean she's obliged to date him so I do think he should have backed off, but I also think he's developed an attachment to her which is perhaps explaining why he's not taking rejection well.I did appreciate the bonding moment of John bringing him his guitar back.Wonder if he'll get the case returned.

I'll accept that, despite Marilyn's many faults and the fact she's hardly mother of the year, sending nasty messages to Jett would be out of character for her, so it's not a surprise that everyone believed her there. Alf appears out of nowhere after being absent for the last two and a half weeks (so his week with Martha doesn't entirely explain it unless their weeks are longer than ours) and it's no surprise that, having been quick to jump to conclusions about just about everyone else, he still thinks the sun shines out of Marilyn and is taking the side of his favourite "daughter" over Roo.It is a surprise that Roo is so quick to think the worst of her (her deciding Marilyn was behind the review seemed to be the same logic as Marilyn insisting Heather's behind anything that goes wrong), but then Marilyn has been pretty unpleasant to Roo these last few weeks which it feels like we're meant to think is somehow okay.

Not sure what to think of Cash's new "nice guys finish last so I'm still going to finish last but be nasty to everyone while I'm doing it" attitude. Even though he managed to catch the thief, he's not coming across as a particularly good cop, ignoring crimes that he thinks aren't worthy of his interest. It looks like Rose and Felicity might be putting out quite a few fires around him! I know they've met before but it still felt like a bit of a novelty seeing Xander and Felicity together.

Again I said this yesterday but characters are really dim in this show

it was totally stupid of Marilyn to break into Heathers caravan especially after just coming back from the hospital and people not trusting her how was that ever going to work out for her

Wow that was a bombshell from Bree - can't say I've noticed a ring, but characters she's met haven't mentioned one seeing one. Most people who arrive in the bay have had a past, even if it is an ordinary run of the mill one.   I got the feeling Bree does like Remi, that look she gave him after her news, was not a doctorly one, but for whatever reason she feels she has to close him down.   Remi, on his part, I think genuinely likes Bree and would like to take it more seriously than his other flirts.  Bit scary him having a seizure, let's hope it was an one off and where were Theo, Kirby and Eden?

Typical John really taking Remi's guitar into him. I'm guessing John will be putting forward and supporting an application for Remi to busk outside the Surf Club.

It's likely the cops will hold onto the case until they've got that guy's fingerprints off it and checked the blood on it is Remi's. OK I understand Cash and or Rose had to ask Remi some questions, he was alone, but he was very groggy so couldn't tell them much so they could have questioned him in hospital.

John gave a very good description and it did help Cash & Rose nab the guy, who if he had been a total innocent wouldn't have run - the flying tackle Cash gave him was acceptable, but his twisting the guys arm up his back didn't need that much force. I was surprised it was just a strain and not a dislocated shoulder.   Remnants of his fight with the bikies resurfacing?

Liking the fact Rose and Felicity are joining a look after Cash team. ?

At times our week and a half isn't the bays', sometimes what we see the next day is the same day in Summer Bay land.   Alf did get a lot dumped on him as soon as he walked in the door - strewth!  Roo seemed still very unsure about Marilyn not sending that message to Jett, at least he believed her and Irene and John did.  Then that one comes up about Roo being a rubbish tutor, Roo can be very forthright at times and can be overbearing as we know.  Was Roo forgetting Marilyn's recent out of the norm for her behaviour was down to the aftereffects of her being poisoned? Maz did admit she hadn't been to her doctor, but was taking her meds. Just because Marilyn thinks Heather is behind it doesn't prove she is - true cybercrime would be outside of Yabby Bay's remit - but Cash could have been more helpful to Maz and Irene - the 'old' Cash would have.

Seems Marilyn is going to be doing some detective work of her own - and gets caught - oops!

Alf hasn't met Heather yet has he, what will he make of her?

Absolutely.  Better still, just get a gun and shoot the guy.

Alf already met Heather just before she started her second tutoring session with Roo.

Surprised the Cyber Crime unit would investigate a couple of hacked messages and a bad review.  It's hard to tell if they were bait to get Marilyn to search Heather's van.  I mean Heather said "you've found it", so she clearly wanted Marilyn to get hold of her birth certificate.  And thus proof that she wanted Marilyn to figure out who she was.  Although I still think Marilyn should have approached her previously because Heather gave so many signs even blind Freddie could see it.

For the first time since they first met when Marilyn knocked on her van, she didn't have the same disdain that she showed towards Heather previously (As an aside, how did the police not find Heather's birth certificate? Did Cash not search Marilyn?).  Heather is clearly angry.  From what I've seen, she's been quite controlled and hasn't really lost it but you can see it in her eyes every time she looks at Marilyn.  I'm really looking forward to their first proper conversation now that they've acknowledged the obvious elephant in the room.  Interestingly she's older than Marilyn was when she had her but thinking more about Heather, we know that her dad died.  I'm assuming it was fairly recent, which presumably is what prompted her to seek Marilyn out.  Did he reveal all on his death bed?  Where's her adopted mother?  I'm also trying to understand how she's managing financially.  She wanted Roo to lay off the rent for the caravan park until she got her deposit for her previous place but she doesn't have a job.  I've been very curious about her backstory but every time Nikau enquired, she immediately shut it down.

I do think Bree has been clear about not wanting to date Remi but I also accept she's been giving mixed signals because even if she won't acknowledge it was a date, despite the fact she's married she had a drink on her own with a guy she just met.  She also had lunch with him.  She's said it's never going to happen with them.  So never in Summer Bay terms often means in the not too distant future.

Finding Cash quite amusing for the second episode in a row with his hardline attitude.

The story around Cash getting shot doesn’t really interest me but I like his none nonsense approach to policing at the moment

To reiterate, Alf didn't appear for two and a half weeks.

I guess it would make sense for Marilyn to get evidence of who Heather is before confronting her, her first attempt at questioning her didn't go well, partly because she was acting crazy. It seems like she's still attaching far too much importance to her reputation, refusing to answer Cash's questions in a way that suggests she'd rather people thought of her as a burglar than as an absent mother.Heather's obviously got her birth certificate from somewhere, it'd be interesting to know how long she's known she was adopted.Roo insists Marilyn left the review because no-one else knew the information.Whilst that's obviously hyperbole, assuming it wasn't Marilyn that left the review, how did whoever did know?

Okay, so we get a fuller explanation from Bree, and without the pressure of trying to make that one work, Remi's dry period came to a swift end. I've said it before but, given we were told that Cash liked Eden for ages and she just used him for a casual hook-up, she has seemed a lot more invested in him than vice versa since she turned up.He did seem like his old self with her a couple of times, only to close down again when she asked him about the thief.

Theo and Kirby left trying to be the responsible ones again!

Long-ass catchup (Went on a Butlin's weekender, let H&A fell by wayside, Edale took priority but have caught up.

I'm going to hell for laughing at the Remy chase scene.

Cash could be revealed as a cannibal and still be boring

The Maz/Heather thing is the only thing keeping my interest. Though whenever it gets momentum, something I find it hard to care about seems to get in the way.

Did you enjoy Butlins?
