The trouble with Lyric is that all the members of the aren’t in the same episode

While having someone like Justin as a manager seems quite odd and not trying to get a professional If was quite amusing

Marilyn messed up there telling Heather to keep things go themselves before that it seemed Heather was going’s to give her a chance

Roo well you wouldn’t want her as your best friend

More than meets the eye. Throwback weekenders (which this was, we were on a 90s kick) went with Big Brother and 4 of his mates. Go train down got lift back part way back then ubered it home.

Saw Heather Small ,Angie Brown, The South (Beautiful South short of a member). They performed.

And To keep (tenuously) on topic, it was near the beach (We were in Bognor). And I was Away from Home?

I suspected something was amiss with Heather's upbringing as if everything was good she wouldn't have sought Marilyn out in the first place.  It didn't actually occur to me the effect the adoption would have on her step mother but Heather's explanation does make complete sense and I can actually see things from the step mother's point of view.  Facing Heather everyday is a constant reminder of the infidelity, not that I agree with hating Heather who is the innocent party in all of this (I wonder if it was the step mother who told Heather she was adopted).  I'm actually in two minds.  I was practically cheering Heather on when she called Marilyn out, particularly the part about everyone thinking the sun shines out her backside (Let's face it, she's essentially summarised what quite a few people in this thread have been saying for the past couple of weeks) and in Heather's own words, Marilyn abandoned her.  However, I did actually like the conversation with them the next day by the peer and when I saw Heather's face after she let her guard down when Marilyn spoke to her and there were tears in her eyes, I felt so bad for her.  This is a girl who's clearly hurting and I personally feel she just wants acceptance and more importantly love, which she didn't get from her step mother.  I kind of agreed with Marilyn about Heather introducing herself because I did say this myself about her being open but it would have made the storyline less dramatic and more importantly Heather's gone about this in such a way that she's effectively reaching out to Marilyn.

I don't really know much about Marilyn's history around the time this happened and objectively given the scenario Marilyn was in, I can understand why she would give Heather up.  However, focusing on the here and now, I personally feel Marilyn is coming across really badly.  Alf shows blind support for her and gives her the opportunity to come clean and she doesn't.  She tells Heather she loves her and wants to get to know her but wants Heather to keep quiet (Give me a break!).  There was a reason why Heather didn't tell Roo and why she hasn't said anything to anybody.  She wants Marilyn to do it again because she wants acceptance.  Marilyn is just giving the impression she's ashamed of Heather (I know Marilyn will argue that she's ashamed of what she did rather than Heather but I feel it's pretty much the same thing).  If she really cared or loved her then it wouldn't matter to her what everybody else thought.  It's kind of like when someone starts going out with somebody who they feel wouldn't be accepted by the larger community and they're worried what the community would think of them going out with this person and they want to keep the relationship hush hush.  Marilyn is being completely selfish and ignoring the effect this is having on Heather.  And should this backfire, Marilyn only has herself to blame because Heather is prepared to give her a second chance.

Cash and Eden back on?  Will be interesting to see Felicity and Rose's reactions, especially considering he tried to cop off with Rose last week.

Not sure Justin will be able to juggle the garage with managing Lyric.  I'm surprised Theo is not really having too many problems juggling singing and the apprenticeship.

I was absolutely punching the air in delight when Heather gave Marilyn both barrels at the beginning and, yes, I agree with every word. Everyone in Summer Bay thinks the sun shines out of Marilyn, blind to the fact that she's a monumentally selfish individual who gets away with it by playing the "poor innocent little me" act 24/7. I found Marilyn's excuses absolutely pathetic. She says she didn't have a choice when she absolutely did, she could have taken Heather with her. She says she was young: No, she wasn't, at least not young enough to use it as an excuse. She was older than Ziggy is now, and I doubt anyone would believe Ziggy couldn't keep her baby and look after it on her own if she had to. (For goodness sake, Marilyn had been married with a stepdaughter a couple of years or so earlier!) It feels Marilyn wants to have it both ways, portraying the Frazers (I notice the end credits have suddenly changed the spelling of Heather's surname!) as both ogres who coerced her into giving up her child, and people who she thought would give Heather a loving home. "I didn't abandon you, I just walked away from you leaving you with a couple who'd treated me badly, pretended to everyone that you didn't exist and never once in 27 years bothered to check if you were safe and happy. That's completely different." And while a part of her seems to want to get to know Heather, it has to be entirely on Marilyn's terms, treating Heather like a dirty little secret because she doesn't want everyone to know she tried to break up a marriage (regardless of who made the first move, she was sleeping with a married man and expecting him to leave his wife for her) and abandoned her daughter.

It seems Cash decided to try the same trick he attempted with Rose on Eden, and found her a lot more willing.Maybe this is payback for her disappearing on him all those years ago, but he quickly went back to being cold afterwards.

Justin really should have spoken to Leah, and really should have given this more thought. To be fair, I think some of the blame lies with Theo and Kirby (and Eden and Remi by default for not being involved at all). They basically handed Justin some scraps of paper and expected him to do something with them, rather than making sure he had it clear what they required.

I have to ask AGAIN why this sudden hatred of Marilyn?

Must mention Heather actually LOCKED her van door!?    How did Marilyn find the birth certificate, Heather had it in a shoebox in a cupboard.

You don't always have a choice, The Frazer's, according to what Marilyn told Leah, waited until she gave birth to Heather before piling on the pressure to give her to them so her emotions would have been all the place.   We, as I've said before, don't know what they have told her and how long ago it was, she may have only recently been told, so to her, her whole life had been a lie.  Heather told Marilyn she had seduced her dad, Marilyn I've never seen as a seducer, let alone a married man.   Sad to say, some women do put the blame on the innocent child, especially if she/he look like the mother.   Men do the same if their wife has a child with another man.  Marilyn, like a lot of women in her position, never mind she was 25 and not a vulnerable teenager, was on her own, in the middle of nowhere so could have been persuaded to let her daughter to have a better life with a couple who could give her the best start in life. Heather said, Marilyn never sent her Birthday or Christmas cards but Marilyn told her it was the deal she had to agree to.  But even if she had defied them what was the betting they wouldn't have just thrown them away.  As an afterthought did the adoption go through the official channels or did they just take her?  Was Mrs. Frazer Heather's adoptive or step mum or both?   I can see why Heather was disappointed that Marilyn wanted to keep quiet about her for now, but Marilyn, wants to know more about her before she introduces her so she can answer questions people will have.  When Marilyn hugged Heather the look on her face said it all.  I did spot how Heather switched from appearing to actually listening to Marilyn's explanation then turning when she saw Roo coming up behind Marilyn to being aggressive and storming off.    She does have a very expressive face, it can look like butter wouldn't melt then switches to a very hard look. Yes, that is a question we need answering, how is Heather managing to live, she's getting the van rent free for now so when is this money from her previous place turning up? She knocked back the job in SALT that Kirby offered her, has she got money of her own from her dad?    As you said Slade, Alf only met her briefly, so doesn't really know her.

Oh Justin you really don't know what you are doing do you?? He just jumped in offering his extensive business knowledge of managing a band.   ? Her was flapping around like a headless chock. Kirby and Theo, I thought, did a really good job until Eden turned up and said "I won't go there and we can't go there".  Well if you had bothered to turn up you could have had your say.  Leah is definitely going to get involved, though her experience of managing a band isn't that much more than Justin's.  How have they managed not to have one before now? Remi is obviously on the rebound from Bree's revelation seeing as he hooked up with Stacey pretty quick.   He hasn't got his case back yet then.

Do we totally believe Bree's declaration of being in love with her husband or is it a case of "me lady protests too much".

Nothing wrong with Eden saying Cash wanted to get serious and she didn't when they last were a couple, it happens, they were a lot younger but eventhen I think he was the more serious type.   They seem to have made their way from the pier to the Parata's pretty quick and didn't waste any time when they got there.

Bob did all the management for the band previously.
