I actually found Leah more annoying than Mackenzie.  I didn't really like the way Mackenzie was towards Justin but he dropped something like that right when she was in the middle of a busy shift so her initial reaction was understandable even though I did think she overreacted cancelling all future gigs with Lyric.  Leah just got on my nerves the way she was on Justin's case, especially when she blamed him for what Mackenzie did although he did involve her because he wanted out.

I’m finding myself liking Cash more recently, I don’t know if it’s that since he’s been shot he’s gained a personality or he’s free of Jasmine, but something is different.

Seemingly she and Dean are going for the 12-week scan, as was mentioned many times, when did that get sorted?

Ziggy mentioned several times that she didn't want Dean telling anyone until after the 12-week scan, with the implication that was some way in the future.

Alf's episode count this week:Four. Guess he had a shortfall to make up.

I agree that it wasn't smart for Leah to pressure Justin into trying to get Lyrik a better deal at Salt, and it wasn't smart to get him to ambush Mackenzie when she was busy either.Result: Mackenzie makes a snap decision after being forced into a corner.I did however like the byplay between her and Justin. ("You had one job!")

Nikau finds himself in the unusual position of being the adult in the family and actually did help Tane out a bit.(Because Felicity isn't in the episode!)Dean and Ziggy again showed they work best when they have someone to play off and some comedy in there: Their exchange with Xander was quite amusing but when they're rabbiting on about how much they love each other it's all a bit meh.

Well, Xander says he's fine and, despite Rose trying to make a comparison with the cyclist, he does seem calmer than he was back then. And with Rose in the flat, he's probably not going to arrange any late night tattoo sessions, although the next day might be another matter... (Loved, Xander and Rose's synchronised beer swilling, by the way!)

I loved the Taiaha scene on the beach with Nikau and Tane and just their whole chat about Mikaere and Ari, especially Tane's aside of Mikaere's opinion. I can understand him not feeling attached to Ari via the gym as it always seemed, to me, that it was Mia's dream rather than his.

The beach scene itself was for me quite stirring, there's something quite pure and soulful about it as it's not just about who you're seeing it's about those who walked the path before and you can feel that intensity.

Lovely pay back from Nik to Tane by getting him to perform the Taiaha ceremony, he remembered it helped him to get through the difficult period in his life.  It was very moving and like you said Foelfan spiritual.  Handy that the beach was deserted but for them.  I think it did help Tane get things into perspective, he had a knee jerk reaction to the aftermath of the court case, all that tension of not knowing how it would have panned out, John seemed cool with it and thought the committee wouldn't be wanting his head on a stick.

Did Dean and Ziggy really not have any idea where the maternity ward was?   It did make for an interesting exchange with Xander though.?  They do have a big notice board on the ground floor on most hospitals telling you which unit is where, but then we never see the ground floor at ND's do we, even emergencies seem to be brought up in the lift.

Don't forget Dean was left out of the whole of Amber's pregnancy and Jai's early years so of course this would be new to him as it is with Ziggy so no need for anyone to be so sneery. Neither of them have been involved in that stage of a pregnancy, Mac didn't get that far. He probably has heard of morning sickness but actually seeing your partner going through would be different.  It would be pretty mind blowing to hear your unborn babies heartbeat, always makes me cry.   Also if you have never heard it before you would be worried if it seemed fast.  That'll be something else to 'look forward' to, Ziggy having an aversion to certain foods, bacon in this instance, and suddenly have a craving to others.  One thought struck me what if she has an aversion to the smell of engine oil that's going to put the brakes on her working at the garage - pun intended.

Justin needs to give his managerial skills a good polish.   Him ambushing Mac when she was working was a big no-no, so of course she shut him down, then pouncing on her emptying the rubbish, crap timing both times.   What is needed is for him to sit down and have a proper meeting with and Mac and Felicity who is co-owner of SALT after all needs to be involved.

Was funny Rose's and Xander's synchronised their beer swigs, wonder, how many takes Luke and Kirstie took to get it right.?

Mac kind of shot herself in the foot or did she must really hate Lyric on the quiet As the episode opened with Theo singing I did think oh god please stop haha so maybe Mac thinks the same She’s been bitchy towards Justin I think though

Yeah, who put a bug up her backside lately?!

I think Mackenzie simply had a knee jerk reaction to Justin's ultimatum and tendency to ambush her. While Justin severely miscalculated by going in hard, he seems to have managed to pull one out of the bag, leaving Mackenzie as the one losing out. She really didn't do the maths with regards paying Lyrik another hundred or so dollars versus losing out on the business of disgruntled music fans who would have turned up for the gig.Shame Lyrik missed out on an opportunity for a more representative Tully Dixon piece.I'm glad Theo stuck up for Justin when Eden wanted to fire him out of hand.I also kind of appreciate that Felicity didn't want to overrule Mackenzie even though she disagreed with her.

Cash announcing he's been suspended (not quite clear whether it's official or not) was a bit of an undramatic "tell, don't show" moment, but then I guess "Sarge" has been a mostly off-screen presence for some time now. He's still using Eden as a, ahem, pressure release and she still seems quite happy to let him.

Looking like Eden is Cash's booty call.

Really liked how Theo defended Justin.  They've come a really long way since he first rocked up and Justin didn't even want him moving in.

Mac could very well end up ruing her impulsiveness, especially given the trouble Salt was in before which effectively got her into the Poker nights.

Justin did put Mac on the back foot both times and he did admit to Leah he could have played it better.  He did manage to turn it round though and without Leah, he had to stand on his own two feet.  He did his homework and did find another place - who were more than happy to match SALTS price. It may just be a fortnightly gig at SALT but it was popular as Flick pointed out after the initial one, it was bringing in customers who paid for food and drinks.

That was lovely Theo defending Justin and having a go at the others, well only Eden actually as Remi had disappeared again.   Asking her to give him another chance as people do make   mistakes. Who would have thought that would happen when Theo first rocked up. Maybe Justin can succeed where no-one else has and get them altogether in one place to talk about what is going to happen next.

Felicity was in a difficult spot as she had to support Mac, even though she had a go at her herself, it is their business after all so natch extra quarantined money coming in every fortnight is a good idea.   But equally she felt she had to back up Eden when she had a go at Mac, the first gig was as a favour and it may not have taken off but did.   Cash, even in his mood, certainly noticed how quiet it was, certainly giving Mac something to think about.  Then she got home and saw the comments on social media, go on Mac swallow your pride, Justin won't gloat that much.?  The extra booze they had ordered in OK, but what about all extra food, won't that go to waste?

Well of course the guy Cash arrested would claim excessive force, I guess we'll see that bit of action again so we can decide for ourselves.  For me Cash leaping on him wasn't, he had to stop him, but maybe the twisting of his arm up his back could be seen as excessive.   Not only Sarge having disappeared for months on end there's only a shadowy force working at Yabby Creek alongside Cash & Rose.   Eden is the only one who doesn't keep asking Cash how he's doing which is fine at first as it shows people care, but after a while would get wearing.
