Quite few revelations.

Mac picking up on Flick's unease about Nik letting all the New Zealand Parata's know about the engagement.  No question Felicity loves Tane, but they had never even talked about thinking about getting engaged so no wonder she was completely floored.   Let her get used to the idea, once the excitement has died down.  Good point that about Tane and Mac almost being an item and if Felicity knows, it was before she came to the bay though wasn't it.  She arrived just after he and Ziggy broke up didn't she?

Next one - Eden after some urging from Remi - tells Cash how she really feels, he was man enough to admit he didn't feel the same but let her down gently.  Amusing that Eden wanted Bree to keep her in overnight after she strained her ankle as she didn't want to go home.  Eden did kind of tell Remi to sling his hook, but they'll get around that once she realises he was right, she'd only get hurt even more by pretending she felt like he did then he moved on.

Next Jacob - I knew I was right to like Remi - he had the measure of Jacob as soon as he met him, he appears to read people's characters very well.  Even to me he came across as very off.  Bree had no idea he was turning up, she wasn't expecting him, he said it was a surprise, what was she supposed to do when she wasn't working, stay in that horrible motel.  She'd just come off shift so popped into SALT for something to eat. Did the hospital tell him where she was because otherwise how did he know where to find her?  Why shouldn't she be chatting to someone of - shock horror - the opposite sex.  Didn't help matter the next person who greeted her, albeit at a distance, was Xander, another man!  It appeared, to me at least, she's had years of this treatment. Not a good idea of Remi to text Bree asking if everything was OK, but of course he wouldn't know Jacob would read it.  Then we saw Jacob's real personality come out when he hit Bree.  How was she going to explain her cut lip?   Surprise she checked her lip by opening her powder compact, I didn't know women used them anymore. He, Remi, did get Bree to tell the truth, then Jacob turns up, was he hoping to catch her out talking to another man? When he mentioned it to him, Dean, I think, was teasing Remi about his previous behaviour when he thought he was chasing Ziggy.

Rose may be obsessing about Heather, but she has good instincts.

We now know what is going to happen but this intervention of Roo/Alf/Irene with Marilyn isn't going to go well. John ducked out and John isn't on Heather's Christmas card list anyway. What we did see ought to please you Red, Heather whacking Marilyn over the head.

One thing I will say about Heather, I don't recall her wearing the same clothes twice.  She seems to have a massive wardrobe.  Looks like she's past the point of no return now.  I genuinely think in a warped sort of way she wanted a relationship with Marilyn but it's not clear at which point she decided that she felt Marilyn had enough chances.  I wonder if it was possibly when Marilyn asked her to apologise to Leah and Heather felt she would always side with her friends although it seems as though she had already planned what was going to happen.  Even though they aren't married any more, it kind if felt like John should be there.

We get a little more on Heather's back story (Assuming she's telling the truth) - Her step mother shipped her off to boarding school.

So she has committed an act of violence now (presumably hitting Marilyn on the back of the head was the reason for having to accept the over 16 acknowledgement on My5 before being able to watch the episode).  She obviously didn't want Marilyn contacting Leah because she knew Leah would have gone to the police.  Looks as though my questions about Heather are going to be answered shortly...

So, they've just decided to make Heather cartoonishly evil. Given there's no way this isn't going to end with Marilyn coming up smelling of roses, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the ride. I do wonder if she came up with this plan, or at least decided she was definitely going to do it, during her little break thinking. I clocked how disappointed she looked when Marilyn told her to apologise to Leah, as if she was hoping Marilyn would take her side.I think that was the point when she realised Marilyn would always put maintaining her life in Summer Bay first, and being a mother to Heather was a distant second at best in her priorities.Slightly amusing that Marilyn was apparently out for hours and yet Heather was still tying her up when she came round.I think she mentioned her mother shipping her off to boarding school pretty early on, and the fact it's so close by is yet another sign that Marilyn could have been in her life years ago if she'd ever bothered to look her up.I'm actually quite glad John and Justin aren't on Heather's hit list.I was worried when Justin nominated himself the advocate for Heather's point of view but his argument that neither of them would be happy about someone getting in the way of them reconnecting with their child was actually quite reasonable.

Ziggy and Dean's storyline may have suffered from re-editing, with them barely appearing in the first half of the episode. Not smart for Ziggy to cancel the appointment on the basis of a minor freak-out that was resolved in one conversation.

First I must get my maybe inappropriate chuckle? out of the way.  Justin advising Leah to go as she and Marilyn could bury the hatchet. Except of course it'll be Heather burying the hatchet. ?

I was wondering the same Slade when did she think up Plan B, was it always there or put it into action as when as you said she felt she had given Marilyn enough chances to come clean.   One thing - usually when someone walks out of somewhere - like Maz did when she got Heather's call, someone else follows them to see if they are OK - but no, zilch, nada. But if someone had they would have seen Heather.

Why couldn't Heather move to the bay, it doesn't appear she had any roots anywhere else?

That van she had must have been bigger inside than it looked then.?

I may be missing something but I'm not getting Heather's reasoning why she invited the people - Leah/Roo/Irene and Alf - she has.  Roo was on her side, Irene was ambiguous, Leah wasn't.  If she is after revenge - which it looked like - why not John?

Heather did mention about boarding school when she first met Roo - how true though is this story she knows the owners - or is she just using it. Parts of it looked pretty abandoned.  She did tell Marilyn, as if in passing, her step mum was all about her and her needs.

It seemed no-one had seen that place before so it can't be that near the bay and Alf has lived there for centuries.

Maz had been out all night and it looked like Heather obviously has drugged Irene/Roo/Leah and Alf either something in their food or drink while they were sitting at the table - no way could she have manhandled Alf into a chair.  Hopefully we'll see that tonight. Oh yeah that CCTV unit looked pretty well set up, has she got hidden talents we don't know about?

Right OK how does Heather see this panning out - she won't be able to keep them there for long.  People in the bay will notice certain people are missing, no-one opening the diner, bait shop, no-one at the caravan park that day.  Justin will ring Leah to see how it's going and of course when he doesn't get an answer will ring Irene, Roo and Alf and won't be getting an answer from any of them either.

We, of course, won't know how any of this works out as we are out of the frame until next year.  It's obvious to me that Justin will contact Rose and or Cash. I hope he'll be able to remember the address on the 'invite' Marilyn sent Leah.

We finally got the answer to Ziggy's freak out, though it did seem to be a filler in. Ziggy, usually a young lady who has her head well screwed on, was freaking out about all the bad things a scan can tell you, but I'll put it down to hormones and first baby jitters. Dean was very calm about it, though I'd imagine he may be thinking the same things.  The good thing about scans is if there is something wrong it is early enough to sort any problems out.  I did read something that was good news.??

Nothing about Bree and Jacob and didn't see anything about them in tonight's preview.

I'm not convinced it's going to be anything more than at the most momentary disdain.  Leah isn't even her biggest fan but when Marilyn fessed up, she was on Marilyn's side and even went round to the caravan park to confront Heather warning her to back off.  I can't see John or Alf blaming Marilyn or Irene or even Roo given Heather's held them hostage.

Yeah, of course, I'd forgotten about that.

Heather still wants a relationship with Marilyn.  I thought she was going for full on payback.  So I guess her goal is to isolate Marilyn from all her friends so she can have her to herself.  I was surprised how gullible all of them were, especially Alf and Leah.  They just took the drinks like that, when Heather offered them without really objecting.  I guess the storyline requires a certain suspension of disbelief.  It did occur to me that Alf had a stroke previously so presumably suffers from high blood pressure so Heather spiking his drink could be potentially dangerous.  Kind of a shame for Roo as she seemed to like Heather and was disappointed she left without saying goodbye.  Irene also showed Heather kindness letting her stay the night rather than sleeping in her car just before she moved into the caravan park.

You can argue all you want how extreme Heather's actions have been but I think it's very telling how despite the state Alf was in and needed to go to hospital, Marilyn still didn't want to tell them about Heather.  The minute Heather brought her out, and demanded that she tell the truth, it should have been automatic.  And even then Marilyn was still trying to spin the story initially to make herself look like the victim, rather than just owning it.  Again it really emphasises just how ashamed of the situation she is and of Heather.  I also think Heather's quite correct about Marilyn being fake.  We often see the bubbly Marilyn but we've seen how unpleasant she can be to people like John and Nikau when thinks aren't going her way so it's just a front. One thing's for sure, whatever Marilyn's done in the past she's certainly paying for it now.

Not too interested in Ziggy's pregnancy but I will say that I liked Dean's reaction when John offered to buy them drinks at Salt.

Not sure I can't wait six weeks to see the next episode.

H&Alover, loved your opening line, so true! ? I agree about John but I wonder if the others are, in some ways, closer to Marilyn and Heather's motive seems to be eliminate the competition so I can have her all to myself, a bit like Jacob and Bree.

Unless I'm very much mistaken wasn't that the house they used as Ash Park in A Place to Call Home?

Something about Jacob and Bree, I'm only going by a ex-friend of my mother's who was DV victim, it sort of comes across that Jacob is trying to be caught out as, in many cases not all, abusers usually go for a part that can be easily hidden i.e. ribs, upper arms, stomachs rather than face as it is so blatant and not easy to explain away, as noted by Remi putting two and two together.

I haven’t got much to say really I thought that was incredibly bad and cheesy haha but instead of Alf being there John should have been for once Dean Ziggy and Theo Kirby parts were the best bits

Enjoy Christmas everyone

Hoo boy, they're all in the s*** now.

Red is probably licking his chops at Maz at Heather's mercy. Most likely wearing a "Go Heather!" TEE ?

It's as if the Mad Hatter stepped out for a sec and let Harley Quinn take over!

I don't think Georgie, Adam or Lynne could have got through many takes of being zonked , with a straight face nor Ray for that matter!

All that was missing was Heather having a creepy doll. "This is Jacincta, say hello!"?

Zig's further along than we thought. One scenario I thought of is Mags flying in to visit only to reveal she's in The Pudding Club, too! (Maybe a fic at some point)

More Band tosh. Well Justin has those responsibilities.

As for Palmer, if he he'd probably be tied on the room with C4 stuffed down his pants, ready to go boom any second.
