I'm glad Theo and Kirby got over this latest blip and acknowledged they both needed to communicate better, but Mackenzie had every right to be angry over this latest stuff-up.I give Theo credit for wanting to sort it out himself but he loses points for not having any clue how to pay the money back: It might have been better to let Justin fit the bill and pay him back later. I'm slightly aggrieved that Kirby, who was at least partly responsible for the gig being cancelled, got to skip out of dealing with the aftermath in order to sort out Bob.I do think Bob wanted Kirby back as well as wanting a career boost. He cut quite a pathetic figure in the end but got surprisingly little sympathy.

I'm in two minds about Bree and Remi hooking up but mostly lean towards it being a bad idea.I appreciate Bree finding a man she feels safe with, but it complicates an already complicated situation with her still having no idea how to get away from Jacob.I do give Remi credit for going to leave when she told him to, even if she did promptly change her mind.

This DV story isn't playing out as it should, it has to be said.

It really isn’t I’m feeling rather sorry for Jacob

Wouldn't go THAT far.

It's a big fat mess. Another the show could do without.

At least when they did it with Andrew and Donna and The Barlows before them people FELT it.

While I agree that having her sleeping with Remi is muddying the waters, I do think the show has both managed to convey the palpable fear Bree feels and imbue Jacob with enough menace for us to invest in the storyline.Anyway, today.

Justin and Theo were definitely feeling the Wrath of Mackenzie here! I wasn't entirely sure about Theo's plan to make up her shortfall with free music (I'm sure she'd rather have the cash), and it didn't even seem that successful at first since people were just standing under the balcony listening, but it put a smile on Mackenzie's face and Salt was busy later, so job done, I guess. I did quite like how upset Ziggy was at the idea of Mackenzie moving out but once Mackenzie explained, she and Dean seemed to understand.

Aside from that mysterious phone call, Nikau only seemed to be in the episode to feed lines to Xander, who I don't remember him being especially close to. (In fact, I'm struggling to remember them speaking before?) Xander made swift progress with Stacey: Guess unconventional dates have their place!

I was not ready for Marilyn to go back to being "comically" self-absorbed.

Slow one tonight. Marilyn and Alf were seemingly only present to explain why Roo wasn't, in dialogue that felt suspiciously like it was setting her up for an open-ended leave of absence. Still, more talk of Maz's idea for a collaborative project with Roo, though she seemed pretty vague on the detail. Hopefully it's more than just an excuse for them both to be explained away on an ongoing basis.

Seriously, still with the band? OK, most of them weren't in it but songs were sung nonetheless, with the usual extras inexplicably gathering to crow in adoration. It made me think, though - I wonder if my local Burger King gets a surge in custom for the rest of the day whenever a busker sets up outside?

Stacey seems nice enough, though there's something about her that makes me feel I might've missed scenes where she's smiling evilly over Xander's shoulder - highly possible given how easily my attention keeps waning?

Nikau is definitely in spare part mode now.

Thank goodness not a episode I have to bore you with rants of Bree

Stacy seems nice well nice eye candy Xander is lucky there I say random though she works at the gym I thought she was a nurse

I did find it amusing how Theo seems to have saved the best songs when not singing with the band I quite enjoyed those songs

It was down to Bree, she asked him in, he was OK  to leave later but she called him back and made the first move. He did ask if she was sure what more do you want?  They seemed very relaxed in the morning, no awkward moments between them. We have seen her cut lip and now Jacob has  learnt to make marks where they can't be seen hence the bruised ribs.

It didn't take long for Eden to work out where he'd spent the night and she has warned him he's getting too close, he does know that but he cares too much for her so heart ruling head. Let's hope no-one else works it out, Eden'll  keep quiet but one careless remark from someone when Jacob comes back will blow everything apart.

From what has been said about him before he's always backed off if  a woman he's interested in had a partner as he doesn't go there. He did with Ziggy once she told him she was with Dean.

A combination of things with the band debacle, Theo not turning up as Bob did a mind job on him, must have reminded him of what his dad was like, misunderstanding with Kirby, band walking out, Justin not knowing  what was going on.  OK Mac was raging but was she having selective amnesia - had she forgotten all the mess she landed herself in when she got side tracked with the illegal gambling?  Fair enough she had  to send the extra staff she brought in home and pay out for all the food that  didn't get eaten, but not being able to return the booze doesn't that mean she won't have to order more as soon as she would have done?   Btw I guess as Felicity had done her three days is the reason why we didn't see her, she is a partner after all. I noticed Kirby wasn't at the meeting.

Theo said he'd pay as he felt guilty OK he had no way of paying it back as quick as Mac wanted but he did offer.  Then he did have his ? moment and had the idea of him and Justin playing to  attract a crowd which luckily for them and Mac brought tons of people in, which may not have brought in $2000 dollars but would have made up for the business she had lost.

The whole truth about Bob came out, he's at rock bottom, but now there is only way but up.  I hope Neighbour Watch is as good as John says is is as he walked off leaving the car window open and didn't lock the car which isn't his.   Bob did bring the whole sorry mess on himself so not unsurprisingly he got no sympathy from anyone.

Stacey and Xander seem to have really clicked, never seen him smile so much, he's got a hidden talent too, he's got a SRI which he took while studying.  Stacey did say to him she'd been an agency nurse which helped pay for her PT courses,  and now of course she's the new gym manager so will be around more.

Well Gary has now turned up, that'll cause ructions when Felicity finds out.

No idea what's going on with Felicity and Gary. I've been assuming there's some really dark secret there, and her furious reaction to his arrival would seem to support that - but if so, he's not acting particularly shiftily. Maybe they really just don't gel. Regardless, I don't think Cash's "invite him anyway" approach is particularly helpful.

So, Stacey likes to date numerous people at once - is H&A taking a leaf out of Neighbours' book and doing polyamory?

Whatever's building with Roo and Marilyn is going at a glacial pace.

Bree didn't exactly invite Remi in: He asked her if she was going to and she kind of stepped out of the way. Sure, she could have said no, but he was definitely pushing for it.

I agree that Gary doesn't exactly feel like a guest villain yet, and it'll be disappointing if he does turn out to be one given that so far he's coming across as an ideal foster parent, who considers Cash his son.So it may well be that Felicity just never accepted him and doesn't want to be forced to do so now.Cash's way of handling the situation, tricking Gary into coming down and then getting him to ambush Felicity (despite him denying that's what it was), wasn't fair on anyone and I'm glad Tane refused to back him up.And yes, that is Peter Phelps as Gary, previously seen as Alan Henderson a decade or so ago. (Which doesn't bode well for him not being a guest villain, although I've seen him play non-villains elsewhere!)

Xander and Stacey didn't even bother to close the door before getting down to business...not sure how much Rose saw! (I'm glad she felt she could take refuge with Cash and family anyway.) Looks like Xander may have to agree to an unconventional relationship if he wants to keep seeing her. It was a nice touch that no-one assumed the other person Stacey was seeing was male. (Yes, I know it's a token gesture, but at least it was there.)

I felt much the same as atrus about the previous episode, that they seemed to be setting up Roo to be away for a while (we don't usually have to wait until that late in the week for her to show up!), but nope she's back. And sounds like she actually enjoyed herself volunteering, as did Leah, who was hinted at being with her over the previous two episodes but it wasn't entirely clear. It feels like Marilyn and Roo have lots of ideas but not much in the way of practical plans: Are they just going to offer a resume tutorial or English test along with the free meal? (They both know that not everyone appreciates someone trying to run their life.)
