I'd love if the people at 7 dropped a trailer like this:

Shane: G'Day, I'm John Palmer.

Peter: G' Day. I'm John Palmer.

Shane: No, No. You can't be John Palmer!

Peter: I was John Palmer *first*!

Shane: I'm John Palmer *now*!

Ray/Alf: Strewth! *One* Flamin' John Palmer's enough for this town! Give me strength...

(Think I missed my calling)

Is it wrong I have literally just picked myself up off the floor from laughing so much, you should be in comedy, that is great! ??

So, we got the scenes of Gary and Felicity alone together and they really didn't disappoint.I know some Oz-pace fans were hoping for a lurid abuse story, but what we got was far more in the spirit of the show and again reinforced the idea that family is about more than blood. Felicity goes through the wringer in having to face up to a guilt that's probably been building for most of the last year but comes out of it stronger. Their final reconciliation hammered home to me how young she seems at times, so I guess it makes sense that she'd have a major wobble when the idea of the adult thing she's got herself involved in hits home.

I liked that we got a scene of Tane and Rose touching base: The show does do a good job these days of showing that characters know people outside their immediate social circle.(See also the team-up of Cash and Justin here.)Rose hangs around the Diner looking to get involved in the stalwarts' storylines: I guess that's variety! Even with them having narrowed their focus, there's still a vague feeling that Marilyn and Roo haven't quite realised just what they've bitten off...

It felt again like a bit of a change had descended today. Felicity and Gary's estrangement felt very authentic - he's obviously somebody she cares about to the extent of harbouring enormous guilt for how she treated him while in his care, but also someone she doesn't quite know well enough to broach it with - or didn't, until today. Their reconciliation was great, and nicely juxtaposed with Cash and Justin working on their dad's ute; these are characters who both desperately needed more backstory and I felt like I knew and liked them both a lot better as a result of the detour. While obviously well-meant, I'm not sure Gary's suggestion of paying for the wedding is going to go down as well as he hopes at this early stage; I think she'll struggle to accept that from him, but we'll see.

Rose wanting to help Maz and Roo was random, but also welcome - again a sense of people moving beyond their pigeonholes a little bit.

I don't think we had heard before how young Felicity was when she and Cash were fostered by Gary and Cathy, not as old as I thought she was. Nine is young to have gone through losing both your mum and dad.  They were great scenes between Peter/Jacqui aka Gary/Felicity -  very well acted.  As said she was only nine when she lost her dad and in such an awful way and as she has now admitted she 'saw' Gary trying to be a  replacement which he wouldn't have done.  She said what she said to Jasmine about she'd rather believe he'd been murdered than just leave her and Cash.  Made me gulp a bit when the hug happened.?   Smiled when Tane reappeared and Felicity introduced him and Gary properly.   Very sensitive of Gary telling  Tane that he'd like to pay for the wedding but felt it wasn't quite his place to approach Felicity with the offer.  Traditionally  it would have been the  dad's 'job' but of course in these 'modern' days it's not always the case.

Flick was very excited to get the invites but then reality seemed to have hit her - that the wedding is going to be happening!

Those scenes of Cash and Justin were well done too, Justin lost both his parents of course so could relate to Cash,  though he was a lot older but he did see it happen.  Must have been a real jolt and a blast from the past Cash finding his mum's necklace in his dad's Ute, it really got to him.   We tend to forget he went through the same thing as Felicity even if he was older though can only be a few years. OK Gary and Cath were fostering them, but he was Flick's older brother and the one she would have turned to to look after her so felt he had to be strong for her, was anyone really caring for him and ensuring his emotional needs were being met? Not that I'm knocking Gary and Cath's care of them both and of course he wouldn't have admitted he needed help and insisted he was "OK".   Poignant moment when Cash handed over the necklace to Felicity and she remembered it, it'll be her 'something old'.  Neat cover up as where he found it as she doesn't know anything about the Ute yet.

Good choice Irene - a golf tournie.  John will be right in there.  Rose, though it did come out of nowhere, helped with her having played and could point Roo in the right direction.

Gary was a highlight again with his insight into Felicity's behaviour.Cash did his best, but didn't really understand it, mainly because he's still wishing it was him getting married.Tane seemed to be shielded from it, which may be for the best.I was sorry to see Gary go, but sounds as though we might have him back for the wedding.Felicity handing over that invite is a big moment for both of them.

Cash was at least nice to Eden in inviting her to spend the evening with them, after she got made homeless for the night.Given that he noticed Bree's car in the street, I'm surprised John hasn't twigged.Bree and Remi's impromptu guitar lesson did help sell the idea that there's something real between them, but while they're sneaking around behind Jacob's back, it's not very solid.I've no idea what the show thinks it's doing with this domestic violence story now: Instead of it being about how hard things are for Bree, it's become about her being a scarlet woman dragging Remi into the crossfire (not that he really needed dragging).I think Eden's wrong about Bree having done this sort of thing before but I can see why she felt the need to challenge her.

Marilyn is now reduced to being wheeled out to do her party piece of "funny" misunderstandings, but at least she isn't being objectionable. I did like the continuity with Alf's golf knowledge, since he was a keen golfer in the show's early days.

So this god awful Bree abuse story continues with Bree and Remi starting an affair this story I’m finding very distasteful really Maybe I would get behind the affair and be behind Remi and Bree if Jacob had actually abused Bree but no he was only around for five seconds so I kind see his side to the story and find Bree super annoying and a flirt Anyhoo awful writing for this story I think

I kind of found the Felcity and Gary story quite pointless as well a lot of fuss over nothing  and now he has gone as well

As you can probably tell I’m not really feeling it much at the moment

Yesterday: well, I'm certainly not harbouring any sympathy for Jacob, but I'm starting to run out of it for Remi as well. What he's doing is just not appropriate, in my view. Bree's role is understandable in that she's in an abusive relationship and yearning for something different, but if Remi's feelings for her are really that strong, they should be compelling him to keep a sensible distance until the marriage is truly over. To that extent, Eden is right to be very concerned although I don't think her being combative/confrontational with Bree (or probably Remi either) is going to help matters.

Glad that Felicity worked through her issues and if paying for the wedding is going to make Gary happy, all the better.

I've no idea why Eden suddenly did a 180 like that. She was making very valid points about how the affair was just going to provoke Jacob and how it was unlikely to end well for anyone involved, then she suddenly encourages Bree to go back to Remi because "you make him happy." Yeah, until the bubble bursts. It feels like the storyline just ran in a circle for two episodes: Aside from Bree learning guitar, the only progression is that Kirby now knows Remi's seeing someone.

Kirby was quite busy today, also having to deal with Theo's poor time management.I get that he didn't expect to be kept as long as he was, but it felt like Theo only agreed to give Marilyn a crash course on golf in order to put off his assignment for a bit longer...only to find out he didn't have a bit longer.Nice of John to be one of the first in the queue to sign up, despite his reputation.

All Theo wanted to do was enter Kirbys dreamland and all she did was act like his mother but saying that I don’t know how you could confuse a week deadline for a the next day

Where has Bob gone? I thought he was staying around because he is broke but apparently he has gone

im not going to comment on Brees crapfest anymore Having sexy gutair time is just too crap to mention

Two NOTHING episodes (Tue and Wed). Bree/Remi is sleep-inducing. Theo in hot water and blowing up was the only thing of any note but it's old territory
