We'll probably get a standard annual wedding but i seriously doubt it would coincide with the 8000 episode.

There are plenty of candidates though.. Justin and Leah, Dean and Ziggy or they wanted a whirlwind engagement at breakneck speed (they've happened in the past!), there is also Cash and Eden, Theo and Kirby, Remi and Bree..

Is it too much to hope for a John and Mairlyn reunion in episode 8000?

While it would appease fans (some), it's just they're just WORLDS apart as characters now. Obvious they would still care for each other but I think they're toast as a couple. Maybe put them with new people.

A plane crash, Emmerdale style.

Already had 3 in the last 2½ decades (1995, 2005 and 2016) but not on that scale. Oddly enough, I did think that if they went down the Disaster route it would *have* to be of "Emmerdalian" proportions.

interesting someone mentioned Roo or Leah could have a secret child. It would have been way more in character if Roo had a secret child instead of Marilyn. That made no sense.

Maybe Roo left in 1989 pregnant with Frank's baby.
