Edited to include discussion of the 7+ classic episodes

Wasn't sure whether to park this in the Diner or here, but as it spans the entire history I'm going with here.

Not bothered with the pilot as I've seen that a million times, but I love the introductions they've had the present day cast record on set.  It's reassuring the cooperation with the Seven Network is still there - right down to writing in a season finale for the UK/Irish Market.

Only seen this 1989 episode in Potato Vision back in the mid-2000's when classic episodes got circulated on here.

RIP Cornelia.  It's a real shame the writers didn't close the door on the Bobby storyline before Cornelia left us.  The vetoed Fisher storyline l might have been the perfect time had it played out before Cornie became poorly.

Top drawer writing though.  Before fancy production values, you had nothing to hide behind.  Bevan was a top shpwrunner.

Incidentally, it's the "original" pilot - first screened in the UK by 5* in 2012.  ITV edited it down to around an hour in 1989.  I haven't ever seen the ITV version but apparently it started with Ailsa's tap dancing in the store. I remember the pilot was originally scheduled in an hour slot on 5* in Summer 2012 and there was a suggestion Seven, not ITV, had done an "international" edit.

Yes, after a bit of umming and ahhing because I'm fairly familiar with it, I did sit and watch Frank and Bobby's wedding. I was surprised at how emotional with nostalgia I got at times, tearing up over Alf meeting Morag, and Sally appearing, and Pippa's last moment with her three girls. And glad we got a sighting of Original Roo, who was a major character throughout most of 1988 but we never get to see any of that because she isn't in that one episode they always pick.

The to-camera cast introductions did make me click on the pilot (although the one on the 1989 episode didn't tell us much more than the one sentence episode description). I let the first half hour play but it takes a lot of commitment to sit through the whole thing, especially with frequent, lengthy commercial breaks.(The 1989 one had only two short breaks, lasting less than two minutes, but I find My5's a bit pot luck like that and sometimes it depends when you go on there.)

I also notice they're up until the end of January.

They chopped it in two, I think?

I watched the Ben and Carly wedding episode, since I think I'd only seen it once before all the way through. It's odd, I could remember what happened but I'd have sworn it happened over the course of more than one episode.Lightweight despite the drama but rather enjoyable: I laughed out loud at the bit where everyone else is running around getting ready and Alf and Antonio are just sat there reading the paper, already dressed!

Probably won't bother so much with the other two given they've already been on, but I'll probably stick the start on if nothing else.

Yeah, that goes on from about episode 580.

It's like the drama preceding Bobby and Greg's wedding stretching out over a few episodes from about 1018 to 1023.

I’ve enjoyed watching these old episodes this week. I’ve seen the original pilot many times and have got it on a H&A dvd. Frank and Bobby are my all time favourite characters so was lovely to see their wedding again. Looking forward to watching the Blake and Meg episode later on today, as I remember that being really well done.

Has there been an update / announcement on the episodes they are uploading next week?

I haven't seen any official list, but going by the descriptions in Inside Soap, next week's episodes would appear to be:

1993:Episode 1298(Bobby's boat accident)
1994:Episode 1604(Ross kids decide where to spend Christmas)
1995:Episode 1662(Shane and Angel's wedding)
1996:Episode 2036(Donald and Marilyn's wedding)
1997:Episode 2140(Kelly's departure)

Apologies in advance for any inaccuracies.

So that's at least one episode that hasn't been shown by either Channel 5 or 7Two!
