I’d forgotten Sally’s wobble outside of the church at Leah’s wedding to Vinnie, still very much in the time of those great character moments.

Also, aside from Leah’s parents, the only couple still together from this episode is Jude & Shauna.

Parts 1 and 2 for the 2002 Bus Crash, this must be how we’re getting our extra 5 episodes.

I think I’d rather them show the aftermath of the Diner Holdup and Duncan’s Bomb exploding rather than the main event being the cliffhanger.

I'm finding that is happening with many of the 7+ episodes for the deaths and "tragedies". As well as the two you mentioned, Leah finding out about Dan's off-screen death is the cliffhanger of that episode. I never saw this era at the time, so the following episode would have been better for me. The caravan park explosion with Oscar and Hannah's deaths is another example.

There being two (consecutive) 2002 episodes is a weird one.It might be that this is the way they're going to get through 35 episodes, but that would definitely mean skipping years.I'm tempted to wonder if it was a last minute decision to include the aftermath of the crash as well after people complained about not seeing the aftermath of things like Sally's shooting and Alf getting blown up: Note that the two episodes have the same introduction.

I ended up watching the whole of the 2001 episode, more or less by accident: I absolutely loved Don's pained reaction to Vinnie turning sentimental drunk on him.

Watching the two 2002 episodes, ironically I think I enjoyed the quieter one more, where we got to actually spend time with the characters in a normal situation rather than a life and death one.(Always good to get a bit of Nick and Jade!)But I suspect that greatly depends on whether or not you know the characters and feel nostalgia for them.

It was nice to see Jesse in a much bigger role today, plus some Irene, Will & Hayley scenes - definitely in the midst of Irene’s best era here.

Also some early Will & Gypsy. It’s such a travesty what they did to them on their returns.

I think I’d rather them show the aftermath of the Diner Holdup and Duncan’s Bomb exploding rather than the main event being the cliffhanger.

i hated what they did to Will and Gypsy in their return

To elaborate a bit further on the list I posted last week, as far as anyone can tell and assuming we don't get any more surprise double episodes, it's Flynn and Sally's wedding(Episode 3538), Pippa's birth(Episode 3755), Noah's birth(Episode 4077), Jack and Martha's wedding (Episode 4211) and Archie's birth(Episode 4401).

Wow, watching the 2003 titles on a 50” tv made it seem like the characters were coming out of the screen and made me seem a bit sea sick with the way the “water” was moving in the background.

I don’t think I’d realised before how much Flynn, Alf & Jesse looked like they were dressed for a funeral for Sally & Flynn’s wedding.

Also noticed in the episode where Sophie gives birth for the second time in 2002 that Irene seems much composed towards Colleen. I remember when Irene became Colleen's boss in the diner she used to get quite fed up with her at times. There were times Irene used to get nearly as fed up with her as Morag did .

But I do think around 2004 -2008 Irene was written rather more fiery .

Since they put up lot same episodes they did couple years ago on 7plus  I only mainly watch  recently ones.

I don't think I'd seen that 2004 episode since it was first shown there.I thought Leah was rather harsh on Jesse in not allowing him to stay with her, even after he was the one to find Sally and Flynn:Scott pulling him back and his realisation felt a bit like kicking a puppy.(I always felt Leah worked better with Jesse than with Dan.)I didn't realise just how close Sally and Flynn came to being late for the party, I thought they were there some time before Leah gave birth.I liked that Dani was Leah's main support throughout the labour, it's a shame that her early episodes and a few memorable storylines mean people tend to forget the responsible and mature character she evolved into.

I could look up when exactly he leaves but we must be quite near the end of Duncan's 2004 stint there, with the money being the catalyst for him leaving.
