Episode 15... I forgot how unfiltered The Early Years were, not as unfiltered as Prisoner, but unfiltered.

Other than that, it's interesting how small town Summer Bay be anti-Nico, other than the Fletchers, McPhees and Stewarts (Oh and the only Hogan).

Which leaves only Don, Lance and Martin 😅

I haven't watched 88 in quite a while. How was Celia towards him out of curiousity? Was this really shown.

she sided with Fisher initially there was a scene in Episode 16 where she was ringing people from the payphone in Ailsa's shop trying to gain support for the petition to have Nico committed, Ailsa was not pleased and threw her out

fast forward to when it came out about Bertram Nico was in the shop when Celia was minding it and she was onside with him (she was the one who told him about Bertram)

Did we ever hear about Martin Parents ?.

Yes. Ern/Fred shows up in a few appearances and Nola, Scott and Errol (Two Uncredited Extras) appear when Marty brings Leanne home for a family meal in 1989.

Nola was played by Denise Roberts, who went on to become known for her roles in GP and Always Greener.

She always played an unnamed customer in Ailsa's store in 1988, who in theory could have been Nola too

I vaguely remember the episode where Martin brought his over-eager girlfriend to visit his folks. Did the get them amp up their general awfulness or were they like that all the time?

Ern's attitudes would have been old-fashioned in 1979 let alone 1989, Nola did make an effort but to no avail, it was hinted that marriage and 4 kids (there was another unnamed, unseen Dibble kid) sucked the life out of her. Scott and Errol basically tooled around with their car loudly off-screen before coming into eat and not saying a word (They were played by two uncredited extras)

I quite like the occasional anonymity in TV shows such at the unnamed and unseen brother of Martin Dibble outside Errol and Scott. And the mystery of Maureen Evan's father etc. I guess a young Coleen just had a ONS with a random bloke in Summer Bay.
