j.laur5
I always thought it that was shame we did not get any rivalry between Pippa and Morag as I think it would good to see best mum vs worst mum and always like seeing fiery side to Pippa. cymbaline
Was she a groovy adult chick or a teenage girl during the decade of free love? If she's 5 years younger than Tom, that gives her a birth date of 1952 or 1953. I wish the Summer of Love had happened when she was 12 because it'd make her indignation over Sal's pursuit of Peter Mansell soooo hypocritical. It's funny how prudish Pippa could be sometimes. Remember the time she thought Michael was watching porno videos and danced around the subject. Naked men and women...doing things. Haha
Luigi Severus Fletcher
So, skipped a few and saw 183, 184 and 185 due to 7Plus removing it later tonight for the Walter Bertram hermit story and the abandoned house scenes. The latter was pretty cool and gave off the same vibes I get when listening to stories about abandoned houses (most of them being online horror stories known as "Creepypastas"). Plus, it sucks that Walter had to hide away due to small town Summer Bay residents possibly harming him.
dncllpyk
I can't believe 7Plus removed the 1988 episodes. 1

cymbaline
They really don't want people to be able to watch old episodes, do they? Other people have mentioned that 1988-89 seem to be gone off Amazon Prime as well. It looks like these old episodes won't be rebroadcast on TV any time soon. What a shame they just get locked away rather than getting a second life on a streaming service.

Someone on here in 2009 or 10 said the 7two rerun would be the last chance to record and keep the early years looks like they were right

And even that was heavily skewed toward the Lucy Addario years, with the deaths of later-years guest characters like Danny Braxton, Beth Ellis, Tommy, Stu Henderson and Ross Nixon valued equally with the deaths of Bobby, Tom, Shane, Michael and Ailsa. I did hold onto a bit of vain hope we might see more episodes released though, as I thought if it were a Summer gimmick, they'd have opted for the full 2011 season (the beginnings of the River Boys) over the 1988 season because it has been said in the past that Channel 7 or the producers are choosing to downplay H&A's age. What's even more odd is that we have all episodes of eighties soap Sons and Daughters available, and I would have thought demand for classic H&A would be much higher than that. Nothing against Sons and Daughters, but I do feel like it has a limited audience and lower popularity compared to classic H&A and many of other Australian dramas on 7Plus.

It's unfortunate. 2 hours ago, adam436 said: I felt the same, mostly because the "iconic moments" episodes were also pretty much a Summer gimmick too. Yeah I agree about later year guest characters. I wouldn't consider the ones listed iconic in the slightest. If they want to pretend Home and Away is 10-15 years old, why not release seasons from that era? I would much, much, much, much prefer classic episodes but it would be something I suppose. I think I recall a petition for 7 to show the reruns again...I feel like this is the best shot but even then I don't think they particularly care. I've said it before but I just find it incredibly bizarre how ashamed of their history and age while Neighbours embraces it.
