I'm going to add McKenzie and Logan to this I was absolutely loving Logan was damn shame his time was cut short they were a couple i was invested in and it been very long time since I've said that.  I understand the real reasons why but it very disappointing I'm just going have try tell myself at least Logan didn't stay around to the point I couldn't stand him. Would love a return some day.

Agree with this completely! I thought I was the only one who loved them together.

I did think the same at the time. But having ruminated on this a bit over the years, since 'twin telepathy' is BS anyway, I guess it might as easily be explained by environmental factors (growing up together in close proximity) as biological ones?

Finally someone else says it! Honestly, it always astounds me that of all the objections to that storyline, people keep coming out with "But they had special super twin powers!" as if that's somehow incontrovertible proof that they were twins, rather than pseudo-science that was never presented as having anything to do with biology anyway.

I feel like there had already been several couplings in that group that I never really cared for any of the pairings. Seb and Nick had both dated Kirsty and Jade, and then Jade had been with Seb, Nick and Duncan. I'm sure other teen groups weren't much better, but maybe it was the fact that Jade and Kirsty were sisters and Duncan and Seb were second cousins that made all the pairings seem worse.

Seb and Duncan barely knew each other and were barely on the show at the same time, and Jade wasn't with Seb until after she was with Nick, so if they'd been endgame we'd have been spared that one. So really, there's only the issue of Nick dating two sisters, and ironically, if inconsistently, it felt like the show built up the bond between Nick and Jade a lot during the time he was with Kirsty, and then Nick and Jade were together about two years and were shown to have a strong relationship throughout, which is why a lot of us are frustrated at how it ended and what came afterwards.

And furthermore, if Kirsty and Jade had actually been twins then they would clearly be fraternal rather than identical twins (i.e. from separate eggs), which means that even if psychic twins was a genetic phenomenon, they couldn't have it. (But Kirsty and Laura, being identical twins, might. As might Carly and Samantha.)

I don't think canon records whether identical twin cousins have psychic powers, so I'm not sure whether Angie and Josie even come into this.

Yes, exactly: Don Fisher even pointed that out in the episode where it was introduced. Biologically speaking, they'd have been no different to non-twin siblings, and it was always said to be the result of them being inseparable growing up, with the bond fading as they became more independent. But no matter how many times I point that out, someone always tries to make out it was a huge inconsistency, when in fact it fitted perfectly!

Is there really such thing as identical cousins seems extremely unlikely
