I would love the feeling of his arms around me, holding me tightly, me lying against his chest, completely relaxed, silently knowing that everything was going to be ok. I would love the feeling of being wanted, being loved by someone else in that special way, being wanted by him...

I sympathise with you. I am terrible when it comes to presentations because I lack confidence when presenting.

And I had one on Wednesday and I was so worried but once I had finished, it was okay.

I think the only suggestions are the ones that people give anyway.

- Keep calm and relaxed (which is difficult when presenting, I know).

- Be knowledgeable on what you are talking about and prepare yourself for questions and answer them as best as you can and truthfully, etc.

- Stay focussed on the topic you are presenting and don't go off track.

- Eye contact (which can be difficult) but look just past the people you are talking to and look all around the room slowly so as you aren't focussed on one person.

- Use open body langauge.

- Use prompt cards. Make notes of the most important things to say and don't read directly off the sheet.

- Get a good night sleep before hand (which means going to bed early, having peace and quiet and turning off your phone).

Like I said, you've probably been told that hundreds of times but it is true. It does help.

thanks Carina. I'm comfortable with the topic and all, just standing up infront of people is yuck! But I think the anticipation, just waiting for your turn is probably the worst part. It's the best feeling in the world at that moment when it's all over!
