aejdude Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 I stayed up all night typing up coursework (a hell of alot of it) and my computer decided to restart itself in order to install updates and (due to being an idiot who didn't save anything) I have bloody lost it all. The document recovery didn't kick in, so I have a lost a night's sleep for nothing. Like Robbie out of Home & Away, but he found it in a temporary backup folder, it could be in one of those. Are you pulling my leg? No i am not. We won it 18 months ago. But you have to understand that when you have kids in a really good state school, and they are happy. Why move them because you have money. We havent even told our parents, as my mum has a gob as big as a fog horn. And she would ruin it for us. That's true, if they are happy saying you have money to move elsewhere isn't going to make them an happier. Money isn't everything, if u have enough to get by and more then you're fine. Congratulations, i think it's a good idea you have kept it a secret because otherwise you get loads of people that weren't that friendly being friendly just because you have money which i think is stupid.

And this forum is the first people i have told. Nobody where i live have any idea at all. Not even my close family know. As we were frightened that our kids that are settled into their school, maybe threatned or worse kidknapped for money. Wowcooooooool congratulations, I'd be exactually the same hun. As it only causes more greif and greed within the family if you gave some more than others. I'm not been funny, but you won it not them, just cause you won the lotto family members assume they have a automatic right to a share of it. You have to think of your childrens futures too. That it is all secure for them. Thats what people forget, you have to make sure you own kids ahve a secure safety net. Money is not at top of my happy list, health and happyness is. Yeah you need money to live. It can also cause a lot of prob to , esp if you win it. Thats the thing some people don't think of there kids as much as they should. Like I said money does not make everything in you life magically happy does it.

I hope you get it sorted out Lizzy *huggles* My moan of the day... I got ****ed by Nationwide. I went in to ask about getting my cash card changed to a debit card, so I can be independent and stuff. You have to have a set income to get the card and my benefits don't cover that amount. I can go back in 3 months if my benefits go up but they won't. *growls* At least I got my passport problem sorted out. I now have someone who can sign the form so now I just need to get a photo done and get a new form to fill in. Then I sit back and wait for my form of ID to come in. Then it's drinking without worrying about no ID. Hell yeah!

I think if I won the lottery I would keep it quiet from people with big mouths as well, I would be scared of all the scroungers, pretending to be friends with you and trying to get money. I think its great that you hve stayed in the same area and left your kids in their school as well, having money won't make them any happier if they were uprooted. Awwww Liz i can't believe you lost all your work. Are you feeling any healthier today? Are you in school? Me and my alka-seltzer have a very big moan but I don't think anyone will sympathize with me. I don't deserve it anyway.

I did it this morning, seeing as I'm still off school due to a throat infection. All coursework had be sent off to the examiners on Monday, so I'll have to drop it off later. Awwww Liz i can't believe you lost all your work. Are you feeling any healthier today? Are you in school? I might have felt better if I hadn't stayed awake all night. I've had the day off, but as I say, I'll have to hand in my coursework in a couple of hours.
