The 'have a moan' thread

I am angry.

This guy I know is really getting to me. He hangs around in our flat all the time because he is friends with some of my housemates. Our fridge is full of his food - there is actually no room for some of my stuff because of him. He is an arrogant ****head, always has to be the centre of attention, and has just been ripping the **** out of me, shouting down my opinions and voice for the last hour. He is so loud and rude. As my flatmate, who is one of my best friends, said yesterday, "£3000 a term for that school he went to? What did they teach him? Not ****ing manners that's for sure." He thinks he is so much better than me and her because he went to private school, his daddy is rich, he's from London, I'm like, "Do I care Tom? You're still an idiot." But it annoys me that I am paying so much money (that's me, by the way, not my Daddy) to be in this flat, and I feel like I don't want to spend any time here, partly because of him.

And he doesn't even live here!!! I just want to shout "GO AWAY! GO HOME TO YOUR OWN FLAT!" But I can't. The situation with my flatmates is tense enough and I don't want any more arguments.

But it still gets to me!

Sorry, ranting a bit...

Oh dear, from past experience you need to be heard, or your flat will not be your own for much longer sweetie. You have to speak up sooner rather than later, it is a case of how are you going to bring it up. Is your flatmate a male or female?. How many of them are mates with this Tom.

Thing is, it is three weeks until the end of term when we move out. So either I just ignore him for three weeks, or have the tension for three weeks. But, I have exams to revise for so I'm not sure if I need the stress.

My friend is a girl, Jamie. She feels the same way as me about him and the others (4 of them, all my other flatmates) who are his mates, but she has to live with them next year - I don't. But, I don't want to make things difficult for her. The thing is, the other girls are so bitchy they will try and force her to take sides. Obviously she'll side with me but then they will make her life so miserable next year. SHe is already really worried about living with them, and also because all her best friends are final years and are graduating so might be moving away next year. I don't want things to be any harder for her.

I think I'm just going to carry on as things are, moaning about them to Jamie. The only problem tonight is that she has gone to the Library to study so I'm left with all of them! :P

I just can't believe that we are at Uni now, supposed to be adults, and there are so many immature people around!

It is best for you to keep quiet at the moment, as not to cause problems for your friend as she has to live with them next term. But if the other flatmates are that nasty she should consider finding other accommodation. Hang in there for a few more weeks if you think you can cope, or if not.. is there anyone you could stay with until the end of term.

I can cope. I don't like them, and I don't give a toss if they don't like me. They are idiots.

Jamie and I went out Sunday night (ahh student life) and she was basically opening her heart about the whole mess, and she said, "If they said to me, we'll pay you back the £400 deposit and we'll find someone else to take the room so you can be released from the contract, I would do it." Her friend in 3rd Year wants to stay in Manchester next year and hasn't got a place yet, so Jamie could live with her. The trouble is the money.

I've said to her, she can stay with me, with Ci if she gets herself in gear, and with the boys - just to think of the new place as a room that she rents, a place to sleep and eat. She doesn't have to be best friends with them. She doesn't need them.

The pair of you dont need this sort of crap in your lives at your age. There is enough stress with your studies and things. You both are doing well by supporting your way in life, that is hard enough without added stress.

Today was my last day of compulsory Education, and tomorrow I have my Citizenship exam which I know I am going to fail, because we haven't have an proper teacher for that subject for 2 years, and now that I have seen the Assessment Criteria I am more nervous!

Aha - he hsa gone home. Thank the Lord and all the angels.

I'm going into the kitchen now to get the drink I have been wanting for ages. I couldn't go before because I couldn't take another second of his voice!

My moan is at my mum.

Why on earth does she feel the need to put an empty milk carton in the fridge!

I filled the bowl right up to the top with Cheerios then I put my 3 tablespoons of sugar, I open the fridge take out the cartoon and start pouring and only 3 dribbles come out. Now I'm eating dry cerael with loads of sugar! Why put it back in the fridge for 3 dribbles! URGH!
