I don't like the English exams because I type them and I get so tired staring at a computer screen for hours at a time, trying desperately to think what to put! But I guess it won't be too bad, because I think I'm gonna get rest breaks.....well I'd better do otherwise I'm going to end up falling asleep at the keyboard LOL!

I know, but it's better then pen and paper ;)

I guess, my writing's diabolical, if I had to write, I'd probably only be able to manage half a page in a 2 hour exam, so I guess I do kind of need to type. But I just find iit so tiring and boring!

I know! And we can't even have music on!

But it's ALOT better then have to write it whit pen and paper TWIZE, aaaaaaand it helps on my spelling having the computer *hides*

Spelling - I wish! That will be disabled... But I'm positive that my grades would go up if we were allowed to have iPods in the exam room to listen to music on....I concentrate so much better with music, but I've had to learn to revise without it so that I don't become too dependent on it!

Why do you have to write it twice? We never had to do that... Also, never had computers. Guess your school is richer than mine was. Computers were only for pupils with dyslexia, etc.

No, my school isn't that rich (although it should be with the amount of fees we pay!). I'm disabled (I have cerebral palsy) and it mainly affects my legs but my fine motor skills (writing etc) are affected as well. So I use a laptop in lessons to take notes and write essays and because of this I also get to use a laptop in my exams. I'm the only one in my year who gets to do this, other people just get extra time because of dyslexia and other learning difficulties. But I get really tired staring at a computer screen in an exam for hours at a time being *forced* to write timed essays.

My school is not at all rich. We don't have money for pencels and paper, but money for lap tops..? OF COURSE we have.

We got 21 lap tops on 48 (?) pupils (on he school) and then some dyclexic (sp?) kids got their own lap tops.

Grr. Wai, I'll get my mother to log on to the school server and get some photos ;)

Here are the laptops :P But my mum said something about getting rid of them because every pupil from the 8th-10th grade will get a lap top on their own.

Computer room, all the computers is bought cheap from companies that is replacing their 'old' computers

Wow! You each get your own laptop?! We're meant to be getting laptops, but the Headmaster is forever finding ways to 'cut costs' (which is scandalous IMO because we (the students) pay his wages, so I doubt they'll be in any time soon, at least not during the next two years (which is all I have left at school).
