I took it in for repair this morning and have been worrying ever since. Will they do data recovery? Will they be able to recover my folders? Will it be expensive? And the worst worry of all. Will they catch sight of all the Queer as Folk & H&A downloads, along with my slash fics. This is how I felt last time it was fixed. At least it should be ready by Monday/Tuesday.

The last time I had to get it repaired, at a completely different shop, it cost me £180. Left me short of cash and confidence. They treated me like a little kid and basically told me what I can and can't do online. I was 19! According to one of my uncles, the place I have gone to this time is cheaper. And after what they said about the keyboard (would be cheaper to not get it replaced and use an external one), I can believe that. Edit: I'm hoping that over here, they do data recovery unless stated otherwise. It wasn't mentioned when I took it in but we did say about it when we rang a few days ago.
