MarMar Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 It's a times like those you wonder why the school/county hire idiots to work as sys.admin. and why the school is not closey tied up with the county so that they have instant back-up everytime the idiots working at the schools press a key. Sorry, it's just that I've been helping out schools, and sys.admins, when they screw up so many times, and that was before I leveled up in the geek-chain.
katya Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 I woke up this morning...and I was full! What is that all about? I love breakfast. I look forward to it before I go to sleep every night. It's my favourite meal of the day! So what is going on? Now I have to wait until lunch time before I can have my breakfast and that will just screw up my entire day (by the way, I only got up about half an hour ago so my meal times are very different to everyone else's). Curse this fullness!

Here I am, hosting 60GB of H&A + several other television series on a 4MB line 24/7. I pull the plug out for 10 seconds to re-set the router because so many packages has been sent and delivered that my connection is really sucky, and those 10 seconds are enough for several members to almost combust into flames because they "can't log on and it's really, really urgent because I simply cannot, cannot fot the life of me, hold off for two seconds and try again, or else I might die!" *Grrr* Rant over.

Well, that's just effed in my opinion! Some people can be seriously rude!!!! If that were me, I'd be blocking accesses for awhile, see how long they last without their stupid dose!

I took it in for repair this morning and have been worrying ever since. Will they do data recovery? Will they be able to recover my folders? Will it be expensive? And the worst worry of all. Will they catch sight of all the Queer as Folk & H&A downloads, along with my slash fics. This is how I felt last time it was fixed. At least it should be ready by Monday/Tuesday. I have KK wallpaper which the repair man has now seen. Oh the shame. (And he couldn't even fix the damn thing).
