I was at the supermarket at about 9.30 a.m this morning...which is very early for me on a Saturday let me tell you....anyway..the place was completely and totally over run with blokes in England football shirts buying up all the beer, the doritoes and crisps etc...and all the BBQ stuff...the queues at the checkout went half way down the shopping aisles.....grrrrr.....I got to the crisp section at about 10.00 and they had sold out of nuts and doritoes...:o....I just managed to get a few cans of beer for my partner....

I hate the world cup already.....:P

I know! They either take all the food or they go around singing at the top of their voices lol!

It's really annoying me! IMO, football is just a load of (over paid) men wearing numbered shirts kicking a ball around a field. Who'd've thought that such a mundane task would generate so much hysteria in a supposedly civilised country?

I totally agree. Men running around for 90 minutes kicking a ball. All's I get out of it is knowing they must be extremely smelly by the end of it!

Yep! And several grand richer! :P My Dad isn't even a football fan yet we're having a BBQ tonight and he's insisting that we have the game on. And even though he hardly ever drinks, he's stocked the fridge with alochol! :P Bizarre.
