Jess Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 My moan is my mother, she's being incredibly annoying. It's my Prom tomorrow night and we're allowed to take guests. There was a guy I wanted to take, but I told myself that if he couldn't come (as in he lives in London), then I wouldn't invite anyone else as there was no one else that I particularly want to take and I didn't want to seem "desperate" asking randomers for the sake of it. I explained this to my Mum a while ago and she said that she was fine with it and that it was a very sensible idea. I asked this guy and he can't come (it's a long story, but the long and short of it is that he can't come). I told Mum and she was fine with it. Just now when I was downstairs, she said, 'I've spoken to your friend's Mum (the woman who has sold all the tickets for the event) and she says that a lot of the girls are taking someone. Are you sure you don't want me to get someone for you, I know someone who would go'. She doesn't understand that I'm happy going on my own because my best mates aren't taking anyone so we're just gonna have fun together. She thinks it's unnaceptable for me to *shock horror* go without a partner and she's just really winding me up! Grrr!

Jess Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 ^^ Trust me, it did! But only Year 11 and both Sixth Forms are allowed to go, so that's only about 60 people in total, so we need guests to make up the numbers...Yes, our school is tiny....it goes from 2-18 and there's 250 people in total.
