The 'have a moan' thread

AOL seems to be messing up this week. This afternoon it kept disconnecting. It did the exact same thing a few days ago and I'm worried it will do it again tonight.

Anyone else experience problems this afternoon with AOL?

Hmmm...I'm with AOL, Jess, and haven't had any problems. :S

My moan: My Mum loves running - she runs about 30 miles a week and does half marathons and everything. She hurt her ankle a while ago and she just thought she'd landed on it funny during one of her runs, so she just carried on running, but more gently than usual. She went to the doctors today, as she was incredibly fed up with the pain, and the doctor thinks that she has osteoarthritis. She can't run at all. Ever. She's 40 in a couple of months and I just think it's really unfair. She kept really fit, did lots of exercise and wasn't obese. Doctors tell you to do lots of exercise and look what happens! Now all she can do is swim, and even then she has to be careful. Needless to say she hasn't taken the news very well, and consequently the whole house is just in a really crappy mood.

Knuckle fractures are most common from punching somone or playing with balls... ...so my other half tells me

Its an avulsion fracture, Im assuming the ball has hit the finger on an angle causing a subluxation and the ligament has ripped that part of the bone away. Still dont know how I went 6 days without getting it checked.
