It's inspired, my dear! Lol, I know, Liz, it's hilarious! Nice job, Di! I've taken myself off the painkillers, they were more trouble than they're worth; sticking to good ol' paracetamol now! x
Jackieleanne Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I'm surprised he hasn't been given a wheelchair already, considering he's probably not allowed to weight bear...oh, the joys of living downstairs, I remember them well! No they won't give him one they said he has to pay for one which would cost quite a bit or he could apply to the council but god knows how long that would take. An yeah hes having to weight bear and is really struggling hes basically confined to the living room. Jess have you tried Nurofen I find them so good for getting rid of pain. Di hope you're feeling better soon i just got off my period luckily now Im back on the pill the pain isn't as bad as what it had been although I'm paying for that by being extremly emotional.

Edit: Jackie, I'm on some weird concoction of Ibruprofen and paracetamol, and an anti-inflammatory gel thing. Not doing much good though, I'll probably end up having surgery.

Jess Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 ^^ Yeah, I hope so...not the most fun way to spend a day of Half Term, especially as Mum had gone to the theatre, so I was stuck at home with Dad who was trying to get my little brother to sleep while I was being sick at the other end of the house. I'm sorry, but men are so useless at that kinda thing, I was just left to my own devices! Anyway, as long as I don't walk on it, I'm not too bad, so I guess that's an excuse to stay on here all night!

Jess Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 ^^ I am, Liz - stupid me! At the moment we're doing Hard Times (Dickens) and Antony and Cleopatra (Shakespeare). Are you doing Pride and Prejudice as your 'closed text' novel (ie you can't take the book into the exam with you)? We're doing that for HT, and so, luckily, it means that we don't have to analyse it that closely as won't have the text to refer to in the exam. A+C, however, I'm finding incredibly hard to understand, all this ferrying backwards and forwards between Rome and Egypt, and we have to take the book into the exam with us, so my moan is that they want really close examination, which I'm struggling to do.
