My moan: I've got a horrible chest infection, which is really starting to hurt now, and I'm meant to go out with my friends tomorrow evening. I'm not allowed to go if the doctor says my chest hasn't got any better and I was really looking forward to it *grumble*

There'll be plenty of other opportunities available for films anyway, as you say I might get one just as Uni finishes which would be perfect!

Yeah, I scored a great deal with it, I got the twin lens kit, bag, 1GB memory flash card, UV lenses, straps and all cables for $1800! The other lens I got was the 90-300mm, and they are worth about $400 alone!

I'm rapt with the purchase, I just need a decent storm to kick it off, and start this baby on some insane lightning shots!

And the saying 'if it's meant to be it's meant to be' works in this case! I bet ya, you will get a ripper opportunity once you finish! Then you'll be glad you didn't take the offer!

Sucks about the boots Mar! Nothing worse than waiting for boots - especially when you need them (and really want now!)

Thanks! I have taken a few pics, but will post them tomorrow in the photography thread. I'm mainly just playing around with the apertures and exposures and such as well as learning all of the functions it can do.

Totally worth my money so far, but I'll let you know if I get any decent storm pics, and of course, will post them!

I think I texted my 16 year old mate on Wednesday night and told him that I wanted to marry him and have his babies...we're not even together! I don't think I should've drunk quite so much champagne! Ooops...

My so called 'friends' are all being really mean to me. I know it sounds childish but one of them has notes I need for my course work but shes refusing to speak to me or answer my calls I have until monday to finish the first part.

Like one person 'Sam' has been sh*t stirrin and now instead of her looking bad, I do, and I haven't even done anything!

I feel so depressed, I'm gonna fail this part of my course and all because of her!

Plus I havn't been out of bed all week and I've had heaps of tests and needles to find out what is wrong with me and I keep fainting from them.

I have a year 12 exam on thursday and i'm not looking forward to it at all....

It's really cold in the UK at the moment and yesterday in school the maximum temperature in any of the classrooms was 8C. The legal minimum temperature for classrooms in schools in the UK is 18C, so what the school was doing is actually illegal. We told the teachers and they agreed but said that there was nothing that they could do because our headteacher refused to turn the heating on because he said it was "warm enough" and he wanted to save money! Surprise, surprise his office was warm and toasty! Idiot. We can't afford to miss any school, we have AS-modules (very important exams) in January and there's barely enough time to cover everything as it is! I'm dreading school on Monday...
