So, despite resenting the fact that he's a grown man and can't send a simple email for himself, I said yes, I could do that for him. So, after staying up til 3am and beyond with insomnia, I set my alarm for midday to wake up JUST for him. Then I slept through the alarm until 12.30, and when I got up Dad was leaving. So now he's been gone for an hour, and I've been sitting here wondering why the hell I'm not still in bed
emmasi Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Dad just came back as I was trying to make a particularly unhealthy lunch of chicken nuggets... which I didn't think he'd want, which is why I was eating that instead of some of the real-food left overs in the fridge... but then Dad looks at it and says "I had that for lunch yesterday. It was nice." ... Which means, first of all, he's eating MY nuggets (Mum got them for ME), and second... was I supposed to offer him some? I have a fair bit here... but he didn't ask! And it's almost 2, and he's been out - he's the kind of guy that want's lunch at 12 noon on the dot! Surely he's eaten, if not here, then somewhere else... But still, would it have been the POLITE thing to do to offer?? GOD! I don't know!!! If people want things, they can ask, can't they? What's impolite about NOT expecting others to have the ability to read your frickin mind!?! I HATE society and everything in it >_<

emmasi Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 My parents aren't home. They haven't been all day, which completely defeats the purpose of me trying to wake up at a reasonable hour . So it's 6.15 and I don't know if they've gone out, if I'm supposed to be getting my own dinner, or if they'll be bringing something home - IF they come home... A little info would be nice Plus the neighbours' dogs are barking, I've lost my train of thought, and I'm HUNGRY damn it! >.< See if I ever try to live of "Lean Cuisine" again... Oh that's right, I was kicked off MSN AND I'm missing the Simpsons! AH! >.<
