My reaction to even ONE tiny spider would be to run out of the room screaming... with medium sized and large ones I stand there, paralyzed. So I'm sorry for your spider troubles *shudders* but have no advice :(

Aww, that sucks Mar! I don't really know what to say except that :(

Just try to stay positive and remember that it will feel a million times better when it finally happens again. I know it's a pathetic attempt of making you feel better, sorry :(

I think I must sleep in some freakishly weird way. Yesterday I woke up with a messed up arm and today my other arm, the right ride of my neck and my back is messed up as well. Maybe this is destiny's way of telling me I need someone to share the bed with. *goes looking for the cage she stole from Jem*

And I have to read this stupid book before Friday. It's written in really old Norwegian, I can hardly understand it. It sucks.

Thanks, Eli :) Hope your back and neck feels better soon.

Immediately after I posted that, I unhooked the laptop and bolted downstairs to my room to spend the night shut safely up in there, lol. Yes, it was an extreme reaction, but the spider started CRAWLING ON THE CEILING!!!!!! I couldn't just sit around and wait for it to drop down on me, could I!? :o

Then I stole one of Dad's beers to calm me down... that's what he gets for not protecting me from the spider -_-

Oh, and Eli, you can keep that cage for a little while longer. Both my targets are currently out of range <_<

No blue hair for me this month. Benefits office just rang and I have to go for a medical examination, so it won't look good if I went in saying I'm shy and I have blue hair.

Okay, I'm beginning to think I'm the only person on this forum who actually LIKES spiders (they kill all the really disgusting insects like flies). Well, okay, I don't exactly like them, but I'm not scared of them either - tho I even feel guilty because I accidentally killed a spider yesterday!!!! :P

Anyway, because I don't like killing them when they keep the disgusting fly population down I can give some advice for people who are scared of them. You can buy spider catchers. They work by a suction method, capturing the spider in a kind of long tube and then you just take the tube and put the spider outside or wherever.

That's the good news. The bad news is I can't remember where I bought the last one a couple of years ago, only that it was somewhere on a website - so you need to do a google search to find who sells them. The best bet is probably looking on gardening sites, I was originally looking for a wasp catcher (as I am scared of them!)

The best one that I had, which was powerful enough to actually catch wasps and the reason I bought it, was purchased from an innovations catalogue but they don't do the catalogue anymore. The spider catchers don't need to be as powerful and you'll probably find one quite easily if you do a google search. I think they charged about £15 - the people who manufacture them, that is, not the spiders and wasps!

Moaning because the frequent OCD scares I've been experiencing finally took their toll on my emotional state tonight and I spent the last 3 hours crying over the need to keep going back to the bathroom to wash my hands and having to "confess" to my mum something that will make the guilt go away but I can't because it'll just upset us both.
