emmasi Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 I walked into the kitchen this morning and saw a Huntsman spider perched over the doorway of the balcony... and it had it's foreleg to it's mouth, pushing something in while it's mandibles - yes, I could see them clearly from the opposite side of the room - chewed the thing up... As if that wasn't enough, when I walked over to the fridge to get my breakfast, the spider saw me and reared up like it was going to attack me. I was still on the other side of the room, but I was directly in line with it... Luckily there was a bench to cower behind or leap onto if need be, so I was just able to get my food and get out... on the condition that it didn't move again, which it didn't, so I appreciate that it held up its end of the bargain. God help me if it's still there later on. It was huge. I don't remember the last time I saw a spider that big. I thought I'd stumbled into an Amazonian rainforest or something... It was actually so big that I think it HELPED me to deal with it, because I was almost able to convince myself that it was a small mouse with too many legs... See, mice I can handle. Even mutant ones, apparently. Spiders... well... I just hope it's gone soon... *shivers.*

I'm sick of being the only one in this relationship marriage who tries to stay in touch, try to make it work despite the distance and try to help the other one. I'm not going to stand here and be told that I'm interfering when all I do is try to help.

Did invertebrates last semester and vertebrates this semester. I only did biology in highschool. But there is jsut so much to know!
