aejdude Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 I have a sore throat. I've done everything to get rid of it. I've had Lempsip Capsules, tea and I've kept warm throughout the day. I would drink the Beechams Lemon and Honey stuff, but that smells like the school toilets.... Hate sore throats! Lol yeah it does. I would say Strepsils but they do absolutely nothing . What i will say is make sure you get an early night, it could be gone by the morning.

It keeps coming up "Cannot find server" whenever I try >.< But rant I must and rant I shall, so here - HERE!! >_< This isn't Harry related, but I need to vent. I've been reading Heroes fics at ff.net, and almost every one has Mohinder refering to Matt as Matthew. I honestly don't remember, but I don't think that Mohinder has ever called him Matthew on the show, and in light of everyone else calling him Matt, it just sounds weird! It's like people think that just because Mohinder has an English (formally Indian) accent and he's got some book smarts, shortening his friend's/partner's name to the name that everyone else uses must be beneath him. It'd be like Hermione consistently calling Harry Harold (if that was his full name). It just sounds wrong! Now that I've ranted about it, it'll probably turn out that Mohinder calls him Matthew all the time on the show, but for now it's irritating me! >.< *Tries to calm down....Having to repost this four times, not helping.* >__<

Formerly Known as FKAJ Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Last night I went to a friend's 18th birthday party, and accepted the offer to sleep over, bringing over an overnight bag, a sleeping bag and a mat. What I didn't anticipate was that I'd end up sleeping on the floor in a shed, not going to bed until 4 in the morning, and then not being able to get to sleep as a result of a combination of a six pack of coca cola and the inability to get comfortable on the floor, even with the sleeping bag and the mat. Long story short, I got no sleep last night. And the party wasn't all that fun - most of the dance music was too boring to be worth dancing to, except for Sexy Back and Lovestoned/She Knows. And because of my own limited social skills (possibly the result of Asperger's Syndrome, although I've never had it diagnosed or anything), I hardly got anything out of the party in the way of socialising. So now I'm questioning whether it was worth going, which is a dilemma because I've been privately in love with the girl whose birthday it was for most of the last two years.

The time tables for tomorrow's volleyball tournament are so messed up I have no idea whatsoever when our first game is. I thought it was 10.40, but according to some people it's 9.20 and because I'm the captain of my team I have to make sure my team is there and that they all know when to play. To make it even more complicated we have to be at least three girls playing at all times (it's a mixed team) and there's only four of us. One of them just IM'd me and said she's sick, but she will try to come tomorrow. If she doesn't we're still enough to play, but then we can't afford any injuries (or any of the girls taking breaks) which isn't very good as I have a tendon inflammation (?) in my right wrist, and the two other girls also have minor injuries that could easily get worse by playing. Ah, aren't we a healthy buch? I'm looking forward to the tournament itself though

But I don't pay for Showcase, so I guess I can't complain about those three magical episodes of Dexter I was able to see. I know, they were just toying with me. Giving me a taste of something wonderful so that I'd buy the whole thing. And maybe I will, but not like that. No, not the way they want me to play their game... I only watched one movie the whole time I had the movie channels, so I'm not getting them just for one show... spectacularly perfect as that show may be... I think I shall just buy it on DVD if I find I can't live without it... Oh Dexter, I hardly knew ye ... I hope Darla is taking good care of you... :( ... *CRIES!!!!!*
