The 'have a moan' thread

I think you're probably doing the right thing, Jess, because my friend just got a couple of tattoos about three weeks ago and they're really painful for her right now. Don't get me wrong, she doesn't regret getting them, not one bit, but it may get in the way of your course.

What kind of design do you want, or are you not sure yet?

A rose on my arm and a crow on my back.

I'm here to moan about my dad!  <_<  He's normally so laid back and casual when it comes to parenting. Ok, I know how bad that sounds but it's not. He doesn't let us all run riot or anything he just.. I don't know! Anyway, yeah.. he's now suddenly turned all strict because he's trying to warn me off a guy. I understand that it's a delicate issue for him but I don't really know what to do!

I have no advice but I have one thing to say. He is being protective because he cares

Can you think of anything more annyoing than this? (Well, I'm sure you can but that's beside the point! :P ) I go to an all-girls school, and, as if that wasn't bad enough, we're having a prom at the end of the school year (which in itself is pretty good because it's just an excuse to buy a prettyful™ dress) but can you imagine a prom without boys???? That's just like Summer Bay turning into a peaceful place - totally unthinkable! We're gonna have to find a way to sneak some in somehow!! Anyway, that's my rant over for the day!

That's pretty sad. But I go to an all girls school aswell, and they don't even let us have a prom! Not until the 6th form or something! So just go and have a laugh with your friends, treat it like a party or something.

Awww! starlet_girl! Just out of interest, what school do you go? I'm not trying to be a weird stalker or anytihng just before you start to get seriously freaked out! It's just that I live near Birmingham and I know pretty much all the girls schools in the area.

That seems very mean. How can you go to a prom without a partner?

It is very mean...but when the school believes that girls minds need to be *protected* from boys and their ways, it's surprisingly easy for them to arrange a prom without boys! My school is a convent school, so the nuns are pretty strict.....this is only the second year that we've even been allowed a prom!

I'll be attending my leavers' prom in the Summer, but officially it is a "leavers' meal". Nevertheless, people are fretting that they won't have a date; perhaps Starlet Girl's school have the right idea... it must save alot of unnecessary stress.
