It's more a sad piece of news than a moan... On my flight back from holiday an elderly man was taken very ill with a suspected heart attack and the pilot had to ask if there was a doctor or any other medically trained person on board. There were, I think, about four people who were medically qualified and they tried their very best to save him - at one stage we were even diverted to Bordeaux so I thought it might be hopeful and maybe it would turn out to be angina (that's not as serious, is it? ). He didn't make it tho. :(

The very saddest thing of all was, he was travelling with his wife and with them both being elderly I guess they were probably married for about 50 years. We clapped the cabin crew and the people who'd tried to save his life but quite a few of us had a little cry. Heartbreaking. :(

Just found out my 4 year old daughter has DDH (dislocation & dysplasia of the hip) & needs an operation to correct it. She will have to spend 3 months with both legs in plaster casts poor little thing. Shes such an active child its going to be hell for her. This should have been detected when she was a baby & i'm really angry it wasn't hence me ranting on here.

^^Damn them for not detecting it earlier but I'm sure your daughter will be brave and get through this.

My right right arm is in a sling. I am right handed. I also have so much work to do for uni that requires me to write.

My friend got knocked off his bike on the way to work this afternoon, the driver of the car that clipped him didn't even stop to see if he was alright, nor did anyone else around. Damn driver should watch where they are going and not be in such a hurry to get somewhere. But this isn't just a rant about hit and run drivers and drivers in general... its also about the lack of good will and kindness in people... what happened to good samaritans? I can't believe no one stopped to help him. Damn (enter swearword of choice here)!!!!

And when I rode home from work on my bike this evening, someone had ago at me cos I was riding on the pavement... well I'm sorry... but I don't trust the drivers of today... all I said to him was you wouldn't exactly walk in the rode would ya? I don't think they get that its just as dangerous for people on bikes to ride in the road as it is for people to walk in the road.
