a woman from there JUST rang me and said "oh hi well we put in a request earlier today for you to go to avenue q tonight but actually it's too late notice to get it done today because the cast need more notice etc"

so i said "hang on, you told me about this prize on the TWELFTH of november, I replied instantly - and then you didnt get back to me for SIX DAYS, and only then bceause I emailed you AGAIN! so then you asked me, last wednesdayay, when would suit - and I told you either Wednesday night or Friday night, and you didnt get back to me at ALL, and then I emailed you AGAIN today, having told you in the email on wednesday that i was moving to AUSTRALIA next monday, and you didnt acknowledge that - and now you're saying it's too late even though i told you on wednesday?! so why did you onyl raise the request today?!

bunch of incompetant IDIOTS!

i'd be swearing a helluva lot more except - i don't think swearings allowed on here

People in the supermarkets are so.... ARGH!! <_<

Everyone kept banging into me, and they thought that they had the right of way, when infact they didn't!!!

I refuse to push the trolley in the supermarkets now, people are so ignorant!!! :(

Supermarkets are a very good place to avoid on a Saturday. It's generally the busiest day of the week for them.

I do agree, though, people are very rude sometimes, especially when put in a situation like that. For some reason.

Caught what I thought was a virus (or spyware) last night. The result was it appeared to keep hijacking IE and Firefox and redirecting them to random websites. It would even open those browsers if they were closed. In addition to this it appeared to modify random system files, which kept flagging up alerts. My Kaspersky software was out of date because the license had expired so I couldn’t update it and hence it couldn’t detect any new threats. It took me ages to find a copy of Norton, get it installed, activated and scan the machine. After the scan finished there were in actual fact 8 viruses. These have now been removed. Everything seems ok now.

^^ That happens to me all the time. Just this week I contracted these random viruses from these fecking random sites and they installed fecking Anti-Virus and Spyware software that actually WERE fecking viruses and Spyware themselves so I had to do a full system recovery but I still have barely any files apart from the assignemnts and stuff I managed to save (and Photoshop, of course...) but now I can't re-install my printer software! Eurgh.

Yeah. I’m usually very careful, as this hasn’t happened in over 3 years. Last night I spent ages looking for something and then I got extremely impatient and just opened up a random RAR file as an administrator. A golden rule is that you generally never randomly just open files - especially archive or EXE files without scanning them first. Also if you are going to open them you should not do it as a privileged user, in order to prevent any system process from being modified. That’ll teach me.

*slaps wrist*

^^ I learned that after my famous computer-broken-for-two-months scandal last Summer... First it was messed up, jumped, opened random files, let on malicious content (including about 5GB of pure porn....) and then it just switched itself off, wouldnt switch back on because the viruses had corrupted Windows, took me two months to find the Recovery CD...
