I've just been filling out a criminal records bureau form and have made a total pigs ear of it. I've had to ask mum to get me a fresh copy she works for the council so hopeful she'll read my email and text that i sent her. Its soo frustrating i can't get really involved in my voluntarily work until its all sorted *sighs*.

Those are an incredible pain in the arse I know. Mine took ages to comt through as well, for no reason at all. Meant I couldn't do my job really - I couldn't be unsupervised wuth the children, do nappies, loads of things, Was really difficult as a lot of us were waiting for them at the same time.

Ive been waiting for ages to see the Home and Away finale, and when it was going to air in New Zealand, I would be in England :( . So I asked my dad/sisters to tape it. The finale was a few weeks ago (in New Zealand) so I just assumed they had taped it. Instead, I find out now, my sisters were out on that night and my dad...FELL ASLEEP <_< !!

Im here in the Uk till April 10th (though, dont get back to Nz till April 21st :( ), so does anyone know when it airs here? I might have a chance to catch it, and I cant watch it online 'cos it never works.

I'm feeling your pain. It took four months between me getting my job and actually starting it, and one of the main reasons was the stupid criminal record checks. Don't get me wrong, they're important, but it's so frustrating!

They have had to send to Australia for the low down on me when I did mine...they take for ever........they have to make sure we are not mad axe murderers or closet stalkers...the poms think Australia is full of stalkers you know...they know this as a result of ther daily viewing of HaA and that other programme......and if you do anything in social care you have to register with the GSCC...and that form is like your life history.....you need passports, birth certificates...details of all sorts and about 56 proofs of ID...its a nightmare.

Thanks for the sympathy guys.

Have received an email from the lady that i needed to contact and she now sending me another through. Trust me to go in all guns blazing (so to speak) start writing in black ink (instead of pencil - which is advisable when filling out forms!!) and then find i could not rub out the mistakes when they occured. LOL.

Frankie - It is a nightmare i agree. Lady whose involved in the scheme she runs for school groups said that i need to take as many pieces of identification as possible. There's me thinking that just a passport will do. LOL.

Anyway lets hope its all sorted soon.
