They seem to think it's better that i go to a close university and don't do the course i want, than go to a university far away but do the course i want to do. They think the Uni shoud come first, the course later. What a load of rubbish. I don't care whether the University is the top in the counrty, i care that i do the course i choose. They want me to go to Cambridge. I tell them it doesn't do my course and they say, "yeah but it does others". It's ridiculous. Aargh. x I know how you feel Guvevara01, my parents are exactly the same, I think it is your decison really, it is your future and career you should explain to your parents what you feel is best for you, and make them understand, have a talk with them, parents can be annoying at times, but they do want their best for their children sometimes they just dont realise, that, what the child actually wants and feels, I suggest you have a good talk with them before applying to a university, it is a big step, good luck
Di Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 Arrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ****, ****, ****, ****. Why us? Why! Does it always happen to us? Hospital just called while social worker was here. She was telling me the rough copy of the care plan they have in place for Tom when he come's home from hospital. He and I will get more help with getting Tom up and dressed and going to bed. As it is going to be even harder for me to do so. Therefore, the social workers plans and Toms cancelled Chancet have to go on hold until Monday. Chancet thankfully have not given his dates to someone else. They have a possible emergency case (child/teen? in car accident broke there back, so they might have to have Toms operation slot. We will not know until the surgeon looks at the x-rays on Monday morning. They have told us not to go in. Wait for a phone call, to see if Tom’s operation is on or off. If it is off, he will have it done a couple off weeks’ time.

Cal Posted April 8, 2006 Report Posted April 8, 2006 I am so p**ed off right now. I went onto Bebo.com, my friend spread so much s*it about me and now no-body likes me!! I also got a text from a friend and she is really depressed. This day is getting worse and worse! :-(
