hmmm yes nowhere in the UK gets warm enough to be uncomfortable at anytime of the year :P Claiming 25C temps as a "heatwave" and "uncomfortable" is hiiiilarious

We hit 46.4C in Melbourne last summer, some suburbs got as high as 47.9C ....now that's warm!

I'm finding people in the UK complaining that 25C is to hot hilarious. For us that's almost winter, lol.

Yea but the weather is never normally that hot over here. And to be honest, I dont think its expected to get that hot. People are not used to it being in the late 20's in the UK. So for us it really is a heatwave. I dont understand why people keep saying its hilarious how we think its hot, because for us it is, people from Australia have wrote in this thread or maybe it was the 'whats the weather like where you are' thread that its freezing as its like 16 or 20C whatever, and no-one seemed to bite off or start saying thats hilarious thats not cold.

It was 30 degrees, where I live, yesterday. It's the type of heat we have...humid heat, that makes it uncomfortable. Give me dry heat any day!

30? That's nothing here. Try late30s to mid 40s. Then you have a problem. 25 is our winter temps. Forgot to add usually with them temps we have 100% humidity.

Singapore is even worse. I barely lasted 2 minutes outside when I was there last time (thankfully it was a stopover where I was almost always inside).

Our winter temps are like 5C and it's normal to go below freezing. So you lucky people in Oz don't know what cold is  I love the heat so i'm very jealous. When i lived in Africa is was like 37C every day and i loved it.

I always roflcopter when people go on about how "hot" 20-25C temps are. AS IF!!!!!!11 Even though Melbourne is a cold and cloudy place, 20-25C during summer here is considered cool to mild. Seriously, finding 25C "uncomfortable" is pure absurd, regardless of what/where one is acclimatised to.

Melbourne had 3 days over 45C last summer, one of those close to 48C in some suburbs, now that's HOT!

20-25C is a horse's shlong on the heat scale.

But when you're not used to it it is hot!!! You grew up in Oz and are therefor used to the temperature, but here in the UK it's unusual for us to get high temperatures day after day.

Likewise if you came here in winter you'd find it feezing but we'd be like, oh it's not so bad

Like when i was in Ghana one day it was like 29C and the girls came to school with little jackets on complaining it was cold, and iwas like, wow it's boiling for me

I'm not used to it....Melbourne isn't a hot place by any stretch. The most common temp here year round is 15-25C.

My ISP is a piece of ****, they recently "upgraded" my perfectly good unlimited broadband service to a new "super fast" ADSL 2+ trail....which is supposidly free, unlimited trail blah blah blah.

After 2 days of no internet while they were making the changes, I was getting continual drop outs, and after a full day on the phone to these retards, I eventually fix the dropping out.......and get a nice super fast internet.....for ONE bloody day! I get an email saying that my service has been "shaped" down to 64kbps because I APPARENTLY exceeded a 3GB peak download limit! In ONE freaking day??????

So now I'm stuck with a useless slow piece of **** internet, equivalent to dail-up, while still paying the same price I was for broadband speeds before this "F**kgrade", and it won't be put back to full speed for the next 2 weeks, unless I choose to pay $5 per gigbyte of data for the privalege of having broadband speed re-instated immediately!!!! And when it does, who knows, maybe I'll get another 1 or 2 days of speed before having to endure another full month of 3rd world dail-up bullcrap, all the while paying full price ofcourse

While phoning them, I was told it was NOT possible to revert to my old plan, even though they sent me an email explicitly stating that I could opt out of the trail whenever I wanted, I explained this but the mongoloid on the other end, who also lacks english skills (what a surprise), kept beating his rod that it was not possible to revert back for this and that reason.

So I sent an email, with the exact quote from their own email to me about cancelling the trail.....and hopefully they live up to their promise. If not, they can expect a tirade of abuse very soon....
