I am so fed up with this freezing weather  go away already :(

Awww! I love this time of year, but the weather is such a downer when you have to go out in it. I went out before in the only shoes that even remotely resemble something sensible for snow, and, although my feet stayed dry, they were freezing when I got home. It was horrible.

My moan: It's Christmas Eve tomorrow and it totally does not feel like it. My Mum said to me "It's because you're older now. It just gets worse"...... which didn't make me feel any better.

I think maybe the magic of Christmas goes away, but you can get excited about it in other ways, seeing family and friends, having a day together which so often doesn't happen these days, seeing children getting excited about Christmas. It does get less exciting in a way, because presents are less exciting, and you're not a kid anymore. But, Christmas is still magical in a way, you just start to appreciate different things.

There is this really cool song by Tim Minchin, White Wine In The Sun, youtube it - its here -

I think that it represents the adult version of Christmas.

Get excited!!! Its a choice, get excited. It only happens once a year. Yes, you're not a kid, and its less magical, but its still exciting, so get excited! Listen to carols, make a gingerbread house, wrap presents, get around some kids.

I'm feeling a little more christmassy than I did yesterday, thankfully. I think it's partly because last year we had everyone living at home for Christmas, and this year, all 3 of my siblings moved out. My eldest sister we wont see now until Boxing day, but my other sister and brother will be here.

I might just turn the Christmas songs on full blast and dance around. Might help.

I'm home alone tonight and its freaking me out. I just want it to be morning. I can't sleep, but I'm tired. I'm thinking about going for a drive just to get out of the house, but its 6 hours till sun up.
