That does explain why 'we' haven't seen the bait shop, you tend to forget how long it was we did see it. It's been mentioned that either Alf, Roo or Maz were opening it.  On H&A's FB page  there were the same whingers about the bait shop and how Alf should give it up.  Bet they are younger folk who wouldn't  know a rod from a net.   Justin did try and be discreet.  That was so John not wanting Alf to give up so easily.

As Dana told Mac she could relate to Abby  so that is why she wanted to help.

It was  a quick, quiet exit by Xander, I know he wasn't the the most dynamic of people  but he will  be missed, folk did tend to bend his ear with their problems as people do with bar staff, he listened, gave advice if asked.  He would have come in handy if Lyrik take back up their usual gigs at Salt, who's going to arrange the events now he's gone?   Will he only be gone for six weeks or will something happen to prevent his return?  That was a nice reminisce with Rose and him about how the bay has been good for them even without mentioning Jasmine.  He did  ask Rose to look out for Dana but they can look out for each other, they will both miss him.  Was there  a suggestion Dana could be moving into the Diner flat until he comes back?  I'm guessing she and Harper are living at Irene's still.

Remi's got one band member signed up then even if briefly, now he's just to coax Eden and Kirby.   Justin was well up to be manager again, hope he's going to be running this by Leah  - remember no secrets.

It did look from what we saw in the trailer Cash has found some  dirt on Tim and Eden was listening to him.

Alf's episode count this week:Four.

It's hard not to see Eden as someone caught between two pretty awful suitors, to the point I was pretty relieved that she seemed to kick them both into touch here. Cash is a complete nutcase at this point, whose grasp on reality is bordering on non-existent, but Tim comes across as fairly slimy and selfish as well. Just how long was Tim's car parked outside the Lyrik house for him to have only just noticed his glove box had been tampered with? (I should probably look at what the timescale of the last few episodes has been but it seems like an eternity ago that Tane was dragging Cash out of there.) Cash has been looking for dirt and he thinks he's found it, but he's only been hearing what he wants to for a while now and he's certainly jumping to conclusions by calling it a "pattern of behaviour". On the other hand, while Tim pleads innocence, he seemed to quickly deduce who Cash was talking about, so it seems like there's a story there. To be frank, Eden probably could have questioned him in a more diplomatic manner which didn't help. Tim's solution of going and picking a fight with Cash doesn't exactly make him seem the calm and rational type: Cash has done more than enough to get reported, so why do this? Rose really does have her hands full dealing with that kindergarten.

Elsewhere, John seems to have given Alf the kick up the behind that he needed and even got a grudging thank you out of it. Marilyn did seem to be being a bit melodramatic about Alf moving. I thought someone else was going to chime in on Alf's bait shop history. My instinct is that he's had three of them: He ran one back in the 90s with Jesse, which got burnt down around 1999. This current one next to the third Diner was set up in 2008 (the year the current Diner first appeared) and he was originally meant to be running it with Ric. I feel like there was one in between but I can't remember any details so I might be imagining it...

Yep you're correct with the line-up (none from 99-08), though there was also Alf's very first store which was a sort of bait shop/boat repair/bottle shop cross before he teamed up with Celia. I recently wrote the history out for an Oz pace news story, which will no doubt make it's way into a UK pace one soon enough 😄

"Alf's Bait and Bits; what can I do for ya?"

*Someone buying Scotch at 10am* "Hogan's Ghost! It's bit early for THAT kinda caper?"

"No Credit! Not one Brass Razoo!"

"I don't care if you're the flamin' queen of Sheba! I wanna see some ID or otherwise you can put that back and getcha self a soft drink instead!"

"Me old man swore by these, nearly landed himself "The General" in '58."

(Things that may have been said to customers when it was a bottle/bait/boat shop 😁)

Cash may be going about doing things the wrong way but Tim did himself absolutely no favours by storming into Yabbie Creek cop shop yelling at Cash then pushing him which counts as assaulting a police officer.  Rose rightly read them the riot act, not being heighest - is that a  word -  but for a small woman she did well.    You mentioning  kindergartten, maybe she should have told them to go and stand in separate corners.🤣  Strictly speaking Cash isn't breaking any laws, anyone can look up anyone on FB or whatever the H&A one is and find their family/friends and contact them.  It's when he brings his laptop into work while off duty and doing whatever he was doing and was dobbed in by his colleague.  Obviously Sarge wasn't about otherwise he  would have had more than  a few words to say about it all.

Tim was so not a happy bunny when Eden told him Cash had never lied to her so that is why she believed  what he told her about this Nerida woman. He did come across as being uncomfortable when he heard her name.   Of course we shouldn't jump to conclusions, Nerida could have her own agenda re Tim.  Eden may like Tim and wants to be supportive but she hasn't known him as long as she has Cash  and the seeds of doubt have been planted.   Good  for her kicking them both into touch.

I think it may have only been the day  after the party when Tim noticed his glove box had been gone through.  Technically his car hadn't been broken into, his door was unlocked.    Good bit of intervention by John,  clocking out Cash, then deciding against tackling him he approached Eden, until Cash slunk back indoors, diffusing the situation.

Cash is also feeling uncomfortable about Harper being there all  the time and seeing how close she and Tane are.  To him I guess he feels it's a betrayal to Felicity that Tane has moved on too quick.

It isn't often Alf gives praise to John but he had to give him credit for his words the day before.    John did look a bit nonplussed, probably expecting to get his usual rollocking.   Mali helped him too by thanking Alf for the way he looked after him when he first moved to the bay by giving  him good advice. How scary it had been for him  moving to a new place but with Alf's encouragement he got his inherited business off the ground.  It gave Alf the nudge he needed to find a new location for the bait shop.

The bottle shop did cross my mind but I'd largely ruled it out, but yeah, that may be what I was thinking of when I thought Alf had run three bait shops.

At this point, I'm still not sure I trust either Cash or Tim. Frankly, for all Eden's attempts to invert it, Tim might make a more convincing innocent party if he did report Cash, and it's hard to take his claims he'd never sleep with a client seriously when he's pretty much one step away from it already. On the other hand, Cash is quite clearly delusional and it does feel like he's using Abby. His shutting down Rose demonstrates that he's only interested in listening to people that agree with him.Eden rushing round to pressure Abigail was a spectacularly bad idea which always had the chance of pushing her closer to Cash.

Alf's new lease of life didn't last long then.By the sound of things, the landlord's rent increase may not have been as unreasonable as they all thought.

That's a pretty high-handed thing for the ad company to do with Kirby and Mali.Does it not occur to them that if the clients pick out a photo to use, that's the photo they want used?

OK Eden has said Cash has never lied to her, but how does he know this Nerida person isn't lying to him?  He's only taking her word that Tim had an affair with her then dumped her, he's believing what he wants to believe because of his distrust of Tim.  I guess we may find out when we 'meet' her tonight.   She could also be delusional, it does happen with, mostly women, patients who fall 'in love' with their doctors and she read more into Tim's attention than there was.  Though he would have been warned  of this possibly happening when he had his training.  It was a bit underhanded of Cash to ask Abby to meet her.  It was her choice to agree to it, how old is Abby supposed to be btw?  He didn't come  out of it completely clean though, Abby may not be Eden's favourite sister  at the moment, but she did give him a swerve about the way he treated her.  Oh and at last from the horse's mouth so to speak Abby told Cash Tim is  her ex counsellor.  She seems to like this new one he found for her. I suppose Tim may have not wanted to press charges should it get back to the Australian equivalent  of the BMC and there would be an investigation. 🤔

Alf's not having much luck finding a new location for a bait shop, it'd need to be near a beach otherwise it would defeat the purpose of it's use.

That was a bloody nerve of that photo agency, Kirby's got a  lovely body and didn't need airbrushing at all.  I'd be giving them a right earbashing, they are the clients and what they say should go.

Felt really sorry for Kirby through this, Mali has been great with her; though Kirby has always been a strong character but never seen much under it, if you like and sadly, the attitudes to non-whites you know she would've seen but brushed it off because it's easier not to make waves but it doesn't mean perhaps she hadn't been subconciously affected by it and sadly, being attacked in this way, it's brought it to the fore. Even though Mali had everything changed and cancelled the Open Day it's sadly only a sticking plaster.
