I think Bree acted totally wrong. And like said was nearly the cause of Alfs. Death although we knew. Alf wasn’t leaving.   Maz. Acted totally  in character

Welcome back and, given that Lyrik seem to be what lapsed and disgruntled viewers are fixating on to hate, was it really the smartest idea that the UK's first sight of the characters in 2025 is Theo and Remi jamming together?

Guess we'll start with Perri, and maybe it's because it's been so long since we saw what he's just been through, but it was hard to have much sympathy for him as he does everything he can to make things as hard as possible for himself and everyone else.It was hard to have any sympathy for Tane either, since I still think none of this would have happened if he'd actually given Perri the support he needed instead of fawning over Harper, what with abandoning him during the court case and then failing to pick up on everything that's been happening since. Even here, he decides to wander out of the house and leave a traumatised youngster on his own. I can understand Theo supporting a friend but he's not making things any better for everyone. Rose was pretty reasonable right up until the point Perri did a runner and changed the whole situation, although I do think she's being a bit blind about his likely reasons.

Another year and Leah's still being a mardy cow. I take it we're meant to deduce the scene of Justin and Claudia making out was a dream, even though it wasn't remotely clear given that we then cut to Leah sitting asleep: The usual television grammar is to cut from a dream to someone waking up. (And how would Leah know where Justin was anyway?) I'm glad that Claudia has snapped back from her rather erratic behaviour last episode. I know how I want Alf to deal with Leah's dramatics but I don't expect he will.

I'm surprised Alf was so friendly to Bree as well: Does he not remember her walking off and leaving him in distress? Marilyn was absolutely right to give her that serve. The way she gave a self-serving version of events to Remi shows she's still not taking responsibility.

The guitar playing wasn't so bad. Theo's high notes were grating.

Bree got on my nerves "It's called snitching!" No, it's called you acting 12. And that's generous

New year same S***!

And We'll be back for more tomorrow🤣

You can't really blame Perri for doing a runner,  he and his family doesn't have a good rep with the cops.   Tane is getting flak not watching over him and Rose is wearing her cop hat so would have to follow procedures and go by the facts and evidence in front of her, she can't speculate on what might have happened, though having said that why ask Tane to accompany her and her buddy to the cop shop?    One BIG bit of proof is the knife Carl very handily left stuck in the table along with the ASBO.    Theo, I get  why he felt sympathy for Perri  before, they both had bullies for dads so may have been a gut reaction why he's hiding him at the garage. That will backfire  when Justin comes back to the garage - if he should - seeing how he hardly goes there - but he may spot a sleeping bag lying around.

Agree with others on here why is Leah so willing to believe Eric over  Justin?  OK so he's made  a  terrifically bad decision  not to tell Leah about Claudia as their first/second meeting didn't go down well,  but still no reason to believe Eric, does  she really think Justin would have an affair.   He's just a friendly guy who likes to help people of either sex.  That dream sequence was  a bit odd - if he'd been that scared of her he could  have locked the doors.  Then it was revealed it was Leah having the dream - even more bizarre.    Claudia  did seem vey needy, maybe not getting the attention from Eric so latching onto any guy who is nice to her?

Re telephone calls/texts or lack of from Justin, he did say it was  a very poor reception where they were once he got through, it does still happen.  I'm guessing he must have got a lift from someone at some point.   Claud didn't seem to be receptive to Justin's request that she tell Leah what really happened.

Finally Bree - Alf would be friendly towards her, he was pretty out of it when it all went down and he likely thinks she saved him.  Maz did well by not blurting out the truth, he's just got over one heart attack wouldn't want him having another one.  Once he was out of earshot she did  tell her she hadn't forgotten what had nearly happened.  Bree is really in denial, blaming Levi  for 'taking over' when she  had it all under control, she's even lying to Remi about seeing her therapist.  Did chuckle at Alf's comments to Maz, "I'm OK,  I'm not overdoing it".   Then Leah rocks up with all her cases with her tale of woe.  Alf is  big softie  regards Leah, but he will want the full story and why she thinks Justin has cheated.

Some wrong on both sides with Justin and Leah today. She should have been more receptive to explanations other than Justin being unfaithful, particularly initially and regardless of what Claudia's husband said; but on the other hand Justin has been lying to her for weeks about his ferrying Claudia around without (as far as I can see) any particularly good reason, and trust has to be earned. If he'd been transparent about what he was up to then she'd have far less reason to be suspicious.

It seemed inevitable that either Cash or Michelle would become over-invested in their friendship and so it's proved. Not only that but he's in denial about it, and yet again taking his issues out on Eden the second it becomes clear Michelle doesn't want to spend every waking moment with him.

Everyone involved in the Perri storyline - Tane, Harper, Rose - is annoying me, but that might just be because they're intrinsically annoying.

Alf handled things better than I expected, although it's not clear how much he'd have enabled Leah if she hadn't had a rapid change of heart: He was quick to question her complete lack of evidence that Justin had cheated and to try and get her and Justin talking. Marilyn seemed to have snapped back in her old "My husband cheated on me so everyone else's does too" stance from 1995 (except we now know she was lying about most of that, so who knows!). Anyway, Leah saw sense eventually and I'm glad Claudia wasn't the person Eric painted her as. I can understand Justin being hurt at how quick Leah was to take a stranger's word over his but he seemed to fixate on the wrong thing: Didn't Leah only meet Eric because she was trying to get hold of him and/or Claudia?

I sympathise with Rose, who's trying to do her job when other people aren't making it easy and are treating her like the enemy. Tane doesn't get any sympathy, and Harper quickly being needy and clingey leaves me wishing more than ever it had been her and not Felicity that had something horrible happen to her.

So yeah, Cash just can't let go of Michelle and it seems only Eden's looking out for her. When Cash did his usual thing of blaming her for everything, Eden really should have pointed out that he's the one interfering in Michelle's life.

That doesn’t negate the fact that the return was earlier than you indicated.
