Was Rose just  happening to drive by when Tane was trying to stop Perri doing a runner?  She must have noticed he was wearing a backpack but took Tane's word for it they were just having  a walk.   I thought Rose gave her evidence very well, she just told it as she saw it when she arrived at the scene, that is all she can do as a cop, she can't speculate what may or not have happened.   Jane, for all that she is young, has done a  very good job, it helps sometimes if the lawyer/barrister is  younger as they don't have such set ideas like older ones do.  Where did the fact that Tane had taught Perri martial arts come into it, was there any evidence any had been used on Carl?   The judge, who it turns out is the late Dennis Waterman's daughter Hannah,  came down pretty hard on the prosecutor, but that is their job to be tough on any witnesses or defendants.   I hope we see more of Charlotte Friels.

Where and how did Jane find Kaia? Prosecution it seemed had 'forgotten' to mention her  on list of witnesses.   She won't have been the first 'dead' mum/wife to turn up,  remember Martha?   From the looks of it Perri isn't going to be leaping into her arms very soon.  I'm wildly guessing it was something Carl  forced her to do, maybe she had a fling/ stood up to him?

There was a plan C for Cash then.  He opted for a demotion because as he said you  couldn't have two Senior Constables in such a small station.  I'm guessing he hasn't had a paycut? Wasn't he offered that position after his  his suspension?  I did like him teasing Rose by keep calling her boss. 😄

Other people are now picking up on Alf's aloofness/grumpiness.   Even John admitted Alf was even more snappier towards him than he usually is.  Alf was snappy at Martha when he was talking to her on the phone.   It may come across as being nosey for Leah to ring Martha but that is exactly what Maz would have done if she'd been there.

Alf's episode count this week:Four. For the second week running, Rose was only in one.

Well, good news for Perri on the court front, with the mouthy prosecutor pretty much disappearing between episodes.(He was credited, but I think all we saw of him was the back of his head.)Of course, there's a bigger emotional hit to come.In one respect, it's easy to judge Kaia, and in another respect, it's easy to exonerate her. That must be the scariest threat anyone could ever give a mother, but was there really nothing else she could do? Anyway, they've both had to live with her choices and both been victims of Carl.Kaia's got Perri out of jail at least. It probably wasn't smart in the circumstances for Harper and Jane to bring Kaia to Salt like that, it was a bit too much like an ambush. Nice to get some involvement from Mackenzie, it's easy to forget she was basically a mother figure to Perri until Harper muscled in.

Abigail definitely seems to be coming on leaps and bounds now, and it was nice that the three siblings were able to have a moment of normality. I wonder if we'll ever see Abigail and Remi together again: She was giving him a hard time when she first came in but they don't seem to have met since her epiphany. Maybe it was easier for Eden to act out when Abigail was doing the same, but now that Abigail's being nice, she's realised how much she's screwed up.So will Levi deal with this reasonably and maturely? Not if the promo's anything to go by...

Meanwhile, Leah and Marilyn's attempt to kill Alf with kindness was a dismal failure so it's time to bring out the big guns. Martha? Hah. you must be joking, there's as much chance of Sally turning up...

EDIT: Oh yes, and nice to see Hannah Waterman, still best known for her regular role on EastEnders 20-odd years ago!

Poor Perri; he truly has been through hell in all ways and now added bombshell of Mama; I can apprecte him feeling shocked, resentful but extremely hurt, to discover one half of most your of your life has been a traigic lie, needlessly ironically, but then all the effects and feelings of of Carl's abuse which I should imagine would start to surface now, even the honesty about them perhaps, it's going to be a reallllllly rough ride, in a real life situation this would call for an awful lot of councilling as, let's face it, you've got many big feeling topics. Abuse, abandonment, gulit etc.

Tane has been good in the 'big brother' role and the fact he has allowed Perri to react without any barriers so's to speak will be helpful; I think he should hear Kaia out but even then Perri can still say 'doesn't matter, go away', at least he'll know everything then.

I did feel for Kaia, though I don't agree with her leaving her son, you can also well believe as we've seen that Carl would'vce had no qualms about carrying out his threat and possibly even enjoying it. The procescution judge was played perfectly, the whole thing of Carl being a victim, it's what they do!

I'll admit all I've wanted to do is hug Perri through it all from day one, Tane too at points, because yes Perri's 18 in age and clearly no fool but in other ways has had to catch up in life really quickly. Catriaona and Ethan have played blindingly well throughout.

Sort of off-topic but one for othe soap fans, Ian Beale would've gotten a shock if he'd been in that courtroom, wouldn't he? Another ex wife back from the dead! 😅

Too much Perri stuff for me I’m just not interested in him but I got to say his mom leaving him because Karl threatened to kill him Surely you would take Perri with you in case Carl killed him anyway so I thought that was a very lame excuse by his mom

I really think they should start to think of a long exit story for Alf now his not really a good character anymore I don’t think

Kirby looked good with the surfboard but chasing Mali around whipping him with a towel very cheesy

Very good outcome for Perri with the jury quite rightly finding him not guilty of murder as it was self defence.   Kaia's testimony definitely swung it for him. She was damned if she did or didn't leave Perri with Carl, I believe he would have carried out his threat and he would have made sure she wasn't able to take Perri without him knowing. I dare say he had 'friends' keeping an eye on her.

Strange how that  that drawing made it look like they were a happy family. Clever trick of TPTB letting us hear how Perri must have heard the verdict as if from a distance. We did get to see the prosecution lawyer's face the night before.   It seemed it was Harper who tracked Kaia down, but  seeing as she was supposed to be dead how did that work?  Jane got a bit of flak for not warning Perri before she turned up at court but she wasn't sure she would turn up.    There are a lot of years of hurt for Perri to get his head around  He does know what Carl was like so in one way can understand why she left but  then not leaving him to take it all by himself part. Why didn't Carl tell Perri his mum  left him but let him think she'd died,  it would have been more like Carl to tell Peri the former? It was strange Carl kept that box though. It's gong to be a hard time for him as if he hadn't already been through enough to get his head around.  Shouldn't judge by appearances but it looked like Kaia  was doing OK for herself.

Ay least we got a glimpse of one happy family with the Fowlers reuniting and  having a fun lunch, who knew Abigail could cook again you shouldn't judge by appearances.  I know Mac had to go to work but  it definitely should have just been them, Mac would have have felt left out with the family  in jokes.  That  was a   beautiful letter Abigail gave  Eden, very heartfelt and it really got to Eden.   Then Eden had to confess to Levi about her sleeping with Tim and as we saw he took it very well - NOT.  I'm guessing he's putting all the blame on Tim but Eden is an adult and could have put  a stop to it.   There is a solution that is reached.

It appeared then Martha hadn't got through  to Alf either as he wasn't talking to her about his recent near death experience.   I know it can be a generational thing with a man of Alf's age for not opening up but he eventually did about  his PTSD.  Maz popped up just after Leah's talk with Martha.  Leah and Maz's attempt to get Alf talking fell on very deaf ears.  Maz has now called in the big guns, though I doubt Roo would appreciate being called that, and she is coming home.  Alf won't be a happy bunny if he finds out why she is back.   It's got to be on his terms and in his time.

It was Jane that tracked Kaia down, having heard she was alive from a social worker at a refuge she stayed at. Remember, Kaia didn't know she was supposed to be dead, so she wasn't exactly hiding. Harper said she didn't know anything about it until Kaia turned up in court.

So, Kaia and Perri get a chance to talk and it seems to be going well at first but he's had his whole wordview overturned and there's a lot of processing to come before he can even begin to come to terms with her being back. It's a shame that Theo was out of the loop because he might have offered him some decent insights. After all, his mother stayed and that didn't make anything better, and Dimitri is nothing like the monster Carl was.I had to laugh at Harper's doe-eyed insistence that Tane would do anything for Perri.Except, you know, turn up and support him while he was giving evidence against Carl like he promised, or indeed stick around and help with the funeral arrangements the other week, rather than making it pretty clear Perri's behind the baby in his priorities.

Eden attempts to do the right thing and then decides not to bother.I shook my head at Remi insisting that Eden likes Tim.Even if she does like him, I don't think she likes him that much, she's just enjoying having sex with a good-looking guy. They did at least attempt to work out how it's going to work but Levi's right, they're not going to keep this quiet forever. While she doesn't know, Eden keeping Abigail hanging isn't helping either, although at least she has Theo to talk to.And yes, we finally get a clearing of the air between her and Remi, albeit a rather sarky one!

I don’t like Tane but I think Perri I think he would be better off with staying with him everything his mom said to him sounded lame and stupid I thought I thought you would be safe yeah like in what universe? She knew Carl was abusive very silly It’s like going out and buying a pet lion and trying to train it

Yeah I was caught off guard of how and why Eden likes Tim I forgot she’s Abby’s sister and Tim is her counsellor be it a very unprofessional one why and what did he say to impress you so much Eden they didn’t even flirt or anything at the start

Some people get the idea in their head that  they can "fix" people.
