Red Ranger 1 Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Tim says he hasn't had a relationship with a client and Nerida says he did, and we don't really know either of them well enough to tell which (if either) of them is telling the truth. But we know he behaved badly with Abigail, so frankly it's only fair she submits a complaint, even if Cash railroaded her into it somewhat. It was a bit of a slap in the face for Cash to hear Abigail describe his motives for going after Tim so dismissively while he's trying to pretend he's being noble and good rather than arrogant and controlling. Kirby gets a slap in the face that definitely wasn't deserved but it's nice that her friends rallied round her. It's a shame it's taken the shine off something that both she and Mali were looking forward to, they may end up wishing they'd never gone to that ad agency. It was a nice touch that Eden instantly realised the photo had been altered. Remi, as he said, wasn't really paying attention, and while his problems are more minor in comparison, he was obviously about to snap. I was wondering how the heck Levi decided this was his and Mackenzie's anniversary and wondered if it was meant to be the anniversary of when they first met but nope, he thinks it's the anniversary of the fundraiser event when they had their first kiss. Er, patently not, since we're still on the same season as that: In terms of the Oz broadcast, it was only ten months earlier! Quote

H&Alover Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 Maybe, just maybe Tim sensed Merida was getting the wrong message from him which is why he dropped her as a client, I'm guessing she had the same problem as Abby, but she took it the wrong way. It seemed he suggested she write a journal the same as Abby, but that wouldn't really tell us anything, in Abby's case it was how she felt about her family and how she thought how they had let her down and how she had got to were she was. Cash's suggestion Nerida send a copy of it with her complaint was a good idea, but it'd still be her word against his and she didn't seem that keen. I'm not defending Tim but he did drop Abby so he could be with Eden so there wasn't a conflict if interest. Maybe Abby is more savvy than Cash thinks she is re his reasons for going after Tim. What if Tim had been just an ordinary guy, would he still be going after him? Mali, after initially missing the fact Kirby had been altered and he hadn't, has been right there for her, that email he got back from the ad agency was pure gobblegook what did that actually mean in English? He so made the right decision in cancelling the Open Day. Not knocking her but it was her idea in the first place. Kirby has always been a very confident person, happy in her skin but this has really knocked her for six. Funny how none of the guys who had seen the poster spotted the difference but Eden did, I knew I wasn't imagining it but I spotted the fact her tattoo had been removed, it was hardly a massive one, very discreet. Am I wrong in remembering she never had this problem when she was doing photo shoots when she was launching her sols career? None of the locals have ever mentioned Kirby's colour or Mali's, they've just accepted them. I know on some sites people can't stand Mali saying he's too dull and boring but he's there for people and I'd rather have him as friend then them. It is small potatoes compared to what Kirby has just been put through but Remi was endeavouring without success to get the band together for rehearsals, but as was always the case it was like herding cats to get them all in one place at the same time. No explanation where Theo was. It doesn't have to be a specific time for an Anniversary, it must be X months since they went to the Fundraiser and she first kissed him so quite romantic of him really. Wasn't it January 2024 OZ time the Fundraiser happened? Quote

He and Eden did their best to perk Kirby up, but I guess when you're down like that, nobody can give the confidence back to you. A shame that it seems to have scuppered Remi's hard work. I must admit I rather enjoyed seeing Lyrik perform again, and I liked Rose trying to give them encouragement while doing her job. Alf's idea to set up a bait shop in the caravan park is a good one but it wasn't long before Roo was doing her usual thing of taking over. So, are Marilyn and Bree all good now or something? Last time we saw them together, they were still being stand-offish, but they were positively friendly there! Expand Although people abuse it horribly these days and refer to "one month anniversaries", the dictionary definition of the word is "the date when a specific event occurred in a previous year". H&Alover Posted February 27 Report Posted February 27 People do tend to bend the real meaning of Anniversary nowadays, Leah was planning an Anniversary do for Justin to celebrate her proposing to him which was kind of random. I know newbie couples celebrate the fact they have been together one whole month. Yes well done Theo for the only bloke who potted the difference. They all tried to boost Kirby's mood and I think her playing took her mind of it for a while as she was focusing on something else. Theo needed some encouragement but he got into the groove with some nudging from Justin, did he seem a bit miffed he wasn't included in the gig? They did seem to have clicked back into their old routine with too much problem. Very wise decision not to play the song Eden had written for Cash. I'm guessing that new equipment boosted the sound levels which would have disturbed the neighbours somewhat, especially at night, mayhap next time you warn them? But having said that the same thing happened in the morning. Poor John, they automatically thought it was him who had complained, there are other neighbours living in that cul-de-sac. Anyways Kirby's mood darkened again when she saw that photo Eden had taken of them saying she looked awful. I guess she wouldn't believe them that she looked OK, they are her friends so wouldn't think anything was wrong with her body. Going back to when she was launching her solo career she didn't have that problem did she, it was only the matter of her clothes as they didn't go with 'their' image. But wasn't the manager black/coloured/non white, trying to cover all bases there so as not to offend anyone so he wouldn't be bothered. Maz does seem to have reconciled with Bree, maybe it's because of it being a common cause, worrying about Alf. I know it would have been very unlikely Bree would have even set foot in the bait shop but she gathered from what Maz said he'd had it for ages so meant a lot to him and maybe not conducive to his recovery from his latest health scare. Oh I so wanted to slap Roo down and tell her to back off! She's found another project to take on. It was a good idea of Alf's to relocate it to the Caravan Park not that far from the Diner but close to the beach which is the whole purpose of having a bait shop. Justin was well up for helping him pack up and move all the gear. But then Roo started railroading all her ideas on him, he can't use that old shed, it has to be a new build and be all swanky. That is NOT Alf, I know the 'old' bait shop was a little pokey, I remember seeing the inside of it a couple of times. It was a tad cluttered but I bet Alf could find anything you wanted blindfolded. This new place wouldn't be his bait shop. Is there trouble in Paradise for Harper and Tane? It looked like she was confiding in Dana that all she and Tane talked about was the baby so not convinced he does want to be with her as a person in her own right. Quote

Red Ranger 1 Posted February 27 Report Posted February 27 I did smile a bit at Tane pretty much forgetting Harper was there and focusing on the baby.I might actually be softening towards them a bit, since I didn't find them too bad there, but just because they managed to have a conversation when they tried their hardest, it doesn't change the fact that they wouldn't be together without the baby. Dana seemed to be focusing on that because it saved her from catastrophising over her long distance relationship. It is a shame that Xander cancelled their first weekend together but John had a point that she needs to be able to manage for longer than that. It seems everything's forgiven with Bree then, with Roo getting a taste of her own medicine by getting railroaded by Remi here. Of course, Roo can't just be straight with Alf, she has to come up with an over-complicated plan that even left John and Justin groaning. After all that desperation to rehearse, Remi ends up sending Theo away so he can enjoy Bree's carnal delights... Quote
