I wanted to smack both Leah and Justin,  he may live under your roof but Theo is a fully grown adult.  He did waver but then swung back again and he has the support of Remi  and Kirby and once Eden has been filled in I guess she'll be on board.  Remi came across a lot more easier than either or Leah have.   Talking of Remi it's refreshing to know his recovery is still ongoing and not just forgot about which is usually happens.  Lyrik still aren't in the right place to do gigs, Remi is not fully fit, Eden is distracted by Imogen.  Kirby did see an upside, it'll give her more time to write some songs without pressure to perform them.   She did drop in the fact she was waiting for a payment cheque to be able to pay the rent and other bills.

I'm liking Kirby and Bree's friendship having a moan at the world  and men in particular.   We know Bree is still hung up on Remi and I think a part of him is still hung up on her, she was the first woman he fell in love with.  Did he really not think she wouldn't have seen that vid? Shame that talk between him and her got interrupted by Justin asking him to help with Theo. It did give her the wrong impression he was skipping out on her.

Roo did seem to be dodging Alf and Marilyn so no wonder Maz though she had done something wrong again.   There was something Roo did want to declare though.  It would be an invasion of Alf's home and he was right that Marilyn should be asked, though the matter was mooted when Roo may have been in line to foster Poppy and she was OK about it.  Maz helped her fill in the application, is there going to be an age limit of the child/children she can take in, by that I mean will she be allowed to look after babies/toddlers, would she be allowed a  say on that?   Marilyn and John were only allowed to have teens, they need emergency foster care as much as young 'uns do.

I'm guessing Alf was talking to Martha and I think he hit the nail on the head about Roo treating it like one of her projects.  Roo  does have a history of rushing full pelt into things.  She's been a teacher, event co-ordinator,  lecturer,  private tutor which  went flat after Heather,  at present she  is the Surf club secretary, now she's moving onto fostering. Not to mention the other projects she's got involved with.  She 'took over' the food kitchen Marilyn set up after all that trouble with Heather, then seemed to have dropped that too.    Got involved with the SO cosmetic company and encouraged Maz to keep goading them and we all know how that ended.   Not a surprise then he is worried,  how would  Roo react if she was turned  down and if she did become a foster parent would she be too over protective?     Btw does Roo bring any money into the house, Maz does and I'm guessing Alf gets something as Surf Club Chairman and a pension but Roo?   I know we've mentioned it on here before but how many bedrooms are there in the Stuart house?  I believe we last saw upstairs when Bella and Ryder were there.    I remember one big bedroom where Kirsty and Jade slept.  Two/three more?

Alf's episode count this week:Three.

Well, that's definitely a piece of lateral thinking by Stevie! She and Remi make an oddly good match, with him giving her good advice on how to handle Cash.Still, he seems to be reading things less well with Bree, taking her claims to be fine at face value until Kirby gives him a metaphorical bash round the head.Bree's unaware that her attempt to move on has just brought her further into Remi and Stevie's orbit, although the promo suggests she finds out quickly!

Despite his claims to the contrary, Alf never really apologised to Roo and it was a bit rich for him to claim he tried to talk to her when all he did was dodge the conversation and hope Marilyn would do his dirty work for him.Still, he gave Roo his support eventually.Hopefully she'll answer Martha's calls now too! In the show's earliest days, there used to be three big bedrooms and a smaller one upstairs and possibly one downstairs as well, but that's fluctuated wildly over the years and there now seem to be four of the big bedrooms up there.

And let's not forget There was a Sister room  switcheroo with The Sutherland Girls. Jade elected to go in with Brodie while Dani went in with Kirsty.

I thought it would be the production team who chooses where to flim a movie and not lead actor I have seen the first look episode and I have to say Stevies acting on the beach is very cheesy

Nelson asking Bree what she other than surf I was thinking is that what classes as flirting these days?

They flim the Witcher Beyond paradise Some House of dragon here in Cornwall Devon I would say that’s only exicting thing about Cornwall though

What about that time they tried to Secede from the rest of England even though that came to nothing? There was a bit a whip-up wasn't  there?

Roo shouldn't be that surprised about Alf's non apology, how long has she been his daughter?   I could see his reasoning, she is getting very excited about the emergency fostering but, for what if for whatever reason, she is turned down, how would that hit her? Can't see a problem with the house, it's hardly what you could call pokey, but would still need the once over from H&S.  Would Alf & Marilyn need any police checks?  Do the fostering people put in  any rules as to how young  the children  fosterers are allowed have  or would that be down to the fosterers?   I think John and Marilyn and Gina before her decided to only take on older children as in teenagers as did Irene.

Good remembering CaptainHulk.

Whirlwind Stevie blew into town and has caused some commotion.   Usual soap bad timing that Bree & Kirby just happened to be there when Stevie and crew landed and she gave Remi a  very warm hello. The reason Cash gave her for turning her down, being there for Eden has kind of  gone awry, as she is out of town being there for Imogen.    Maybe just me but I think Stevie  sees Cash a challenge, he stands up to her and doesn't let her boss him around.   Bree was definitely giving  Nelson the once over.  So many ways you could take Bree and Nelson's 'chat'.

Yep that last scene was, to put it mildly, slightly eekey.  But of course neither Nelson or Stevie would have any idea of the fact Remi and Bree had so recently been a very, close and intense couple.

Never  mind the production team deciding where to film wouldn't the local council  have a say in it and never mind them what about Alf!

Pembie, aren't you forgetting Poldark - both versions?

Like I said about Felicity last week, the same thing applies to Bree.  She's got it bad re Remi.  I did find her conversations with Kirby quite amusing, where Bree wanted Kirby to tell Remi she didn't have a problem with him and Steve and she wanted validation from Kirby that she wasn't acting like and idiot and Kirby said she was.  I think it's fine to say you don't care about something but if someone goes out of their way to say they don't care then they probably do.  Remi's facial expression when Bree told him they could both date whoever he like made me laugh.  Given they had broken up, I think it's been established they can date whoever they like so it wasn't necessary to point it out.  I do think they both still like each other but have accepted the they can't really be together because of the differences on certain things.

I liked how Remi supported Theo despite him having to step out of the band for a bit.

I'm not keen on Alf but thought he had a point regarding Roo and this foster thing being her latest project.  Not surprised Marilyn was supportive of the idea.  Open to helping any child that isn't her own.

Friday

Roo's immature reaction to Alf ranting about her on the phone was hilarious.

Again amusing seeing Bree say that Remi/Stevie didn't bother her when she actually saw them together.

Kirby annoyed me when she went and spoke to Remi, asking him to be mindful with Stevie re Bree, acting like he's the one in the wrong.  This was obviously due to the whole Theo/Valerie thing and the fact that she didn't like it rubbed in her face.

I suppose the writers had to have a way for Stevie to stick around for a little while longer presumably so filming in the Bay is it.  I did like the fact she stopped the games and was open about her motives to Cash and how it affected her, once Remi told her just to be straight with him.

Stevie was definitely in force of nature mode, with both Cash and Remi looking utterly bemused by her behaviour and Nelson not far behind. Still, she's clearly not as dumb as she sometimes seems, since it turns out she actually has a point. You could see Nelson thinking "Hey, this could work" as she acted out the scene on the beach. It's apparently just sinking in for Cash exactly what he's let himself in for.Stevie did seem to have trouble reading the situation when she set Remi and Bree up to watch their dates talk shop, but then Nelson didn't seem to twig either.

Aside from a couple of scenes of Roo deciding to do a first aid course(seemingly as a way of writing her out for a few episodes), everything else fed into the main story.Roo is the latest Stevie Marlow fan and inevitable that Marilyn's dreaming of stardom, while Alf is being his usual grumpy self: His comment that he doesn't like change is very enlightening.

Alf also runs the bait shop and gets money from renting vans to people.

So therefore I don’t think Alf would get a pension.

Wasn’t Roo meant to be a well off business woman?.

I agree Alf was being a misery guts re Stevie wanting to film by the beach.  Even Roo, saw the positive side to it and the potential income re the caravan park.  I suspect he just likes to be in control of everything and allowing Stevie and Co to make the movie will relinquish some of that.

Trying to understand the psychology of Stevie being so desperate to film at Summer Bay.  I can't really believe it is just about Cash protecting her.  Her rationale to Nelson was purely to do with the filming element but I don't think she was entirely truthful.

I think Kirby should just stay out of the whole Remi/Bree thing.  I don't like how she's effectively acting as a go between, which primarily favours Bree.

How far is Bree prepared to go with Nelson?  Even he was suspicious that she changed her mind and wanted to meet up with him.

The end of the episode was the best part.  The look on both Bree and Remi's faces when they realised they were effectively having a double date with each other was great.
