Overriding thought on today's episode is... has Claudia never heard of taxis? And buses? She's acting like having a personal chauffeur is an absolute necessity of her job, and I doubt that it is. I'm sure Justin would probably be happy to reimburse her for the taxi fares until she's recovered - far cheaper than her suing the garage I'd have thought.

Alf's episode count this week:Three.

I think that episode pretty much demonstrated that Tane's a terrible father. Or at least that Perri was quite right that he's way down the list of priorities now that Tane's got a biological child to coo over. Perri didn't enter his head once, not even when Theo reminded him where he was supposed to be.He didn't even know anything was wrong and still he was hanging around the surf club, ringing Harper every five seconds like he's got separation anxiety, instead of doing what he promised to do.Harper briefly attempts to keep quiet and send him to Perri, then as soon as Dana ignores her wishes and patient confidentiality because she thinks she knows best, she forgets about Perri as well and goes back to hanging off Tane's coat tails. And while Tane's busy preening himself over what his wild oats are growing into, everything goes wrong back where he's well and truly dropped the ball. And yeah, maybe Carl would still have walked if Tane had been there, but it couldn't have hurt, and it's not like he was really needed at the hospital.

And having been her usual mouthy self on the phone, Dana just stands there like a stunned mullet instead of standing up to Bree's "Me doctor, you nurse, speak when you're spoken to, you lower form of life" attitude. Instead, she goes running to Remi. Who, oddly, doesn't take her claims seriously but then acts flummoxed when Bree asks him to back her up.

Justin and Claudia...It's a tricky one. It sounds like Claudia's job is hanging by a thread and she really does need someone who can be there at a moment's notice. But then it's not as if Justin is sitting there waiting for her. Would she be able to immediately get a taxi at short notice? To be fair, Justin initially offered his services before Claudia had a chance to think of a better arrangement, but she did ask him to carry on here. Justin does need to come up with a better reason for keeping it quiet than "Leah made a snap judgement about you on a few seconds' acquaintance" though...which for some reason Claudia thinks is fine.

Dana was right about Bree on every count but probably should've been a bit more subtile, however to quote Irene; 'Even blind Freddie knows there's something wrong with that girlie', however with Harper/Tane she was wrong, she should've just let Harper take a little of heat but eventually it would've resolved for all. Perri needed Tane more in that instance as Harper had her anyways.

I did think it was sweet how mesmerised Tane was at the ultrasound, I don't doubt Ethan was able to bring his own memories to that performance.

Am I the only one who thinks Cash wouldn't pass whatever psyc tests the police force use before hiring people?  He behaves so crazily at times I not at all convinced a real police force would ever hire him.

Same Police force that let Angelo and Colby join...

Before all this happened Cash was a down to earth cop, well able to do his job, losing someone so close would throw anyone, cops are human.  Colby and Angelo were  upstanding cops too when they joined up. It was only later they were led into the dark side.

Claudia's job  as we've found out does require her to be there at short notice and she was very concerned about this guy she couldn't get hold of so no a bus or taxi wouldn't be the answer.  She does come across as a very caring person in that regard.   Justin has offered to get a proper driver who can be there as and when she requires and I dare say pay for him. What Claudia does, it seems, given Justin pause for thought the way he was talking later about he may be being able to help in some way.  Claudia did question why Justin hadn't told Leah and like we've said she said to tell her.  She may not like it at first but would understand if he told her the work Claudia does.  Theo's spidey senses are twitching but of course  has got it totally wrong.

Harper did try and keep Tane out of it, but Dana went into one of her "I know what's best" modes.  It was a swings and roundabouts decision, if there was nothing to worry about, which it appears there wasn't, why bother him and having him going into meltdown, but if something had gone wrong, he would have had naturally been pretty angry.   But yes he did seem to have forgotten Perri completely, he wouldn't have been called to give any evidence just be there for Perri.   Harper did have other things on her mind don't forget.   She is a  first time mum so any spotting would be a scare, no use Dana saying it may not be anything to worry about the thought would still be there.  Would Dana be able to say she didn't want Bree going anywhere near Harper?  As a nurse maybe not  but as a relative of the patient maybe?  She did manage to persuade Bree to go home and get some rest, but in a friendly way, not that it lasted long and she went back to the hospital.    It didn't help the obs guy/gal took so long to show up which wouldn't have helped the tension so Bree had to do the ultrasound which although Dana isn't able to do I guess it would be part of Bree's training.  I did hold my breath until I heard the heartbeat.  The look of amazement on Tane's face was a picture, I know he'd seen a photo before but seeing it live is a whole different thing I guess,  means it's real.  Seeing Harper was home, guess everything was OK, she just had to have bed rest.

Bree was showing signs of OCD back at the house when Remi moved her phone without telling her, but being such a small thing he wouldn't pick up on it.  Dana, yes she can be annoying, but Bree is a friend so cares for her and was just asking Remi to keep an eye out for her.  Bree's attitude towards Dana is her covering up as she knows something isn't right with her so is being ultra defensive.

This coming week is our last week before the Christmas break so I imagine there will be some loose ends dangling.

Apologies if I've misunderstood you, but we've actually got two weeks to go: The last episode before Christmas is on the 15th.

Let's not forget Colby's origins BEFORE he became "an avenging angel". The River Boys boys weren't a scout troop now, were they? (Though I suspect he and Dean probably tied a few people in knots in there time🤣)

Also there was thst time that  Angelo kicked off at Belle, trashing the beach house and ostensibly got away with it

I'm definitely more on Mackenzie's side than I am on Abigail's.  I would be actually pretty livid is someone invited a drug addict to stay at my place without permission and the way Abigail was talking to Mackenzie, I thought she did well to reconcile with her afterwards as I feel you shouldn't be rude to someone in their own home.  However, looking at it from Abigail's point of view, she's feels Mackenzie can't stand her and so there's a natural tendency from her to be angry and dislike her back.  I've not found Abigail very likeable at all but when she was interacting with Mali, I saw a slightly different side to her.  I actually enjoyed their scenes although I'm not sure she's a character I'm necessarily going to warm to at the moment.

I didn't mind the stuff with Justin and Claudia.  Like other people, I'm also glad we've seen a different side to her, helping people with her job and having issues with her husband.  I'm actually of the belief she's at a disadvantage by not going down the legal route with Justin given how she's struggling to do her job and as a result is affecting her home life.  Logically she should be taking him to court.  Although I'm not sure how it would help the people she obviously cares about that she visits on a day to day basis.

Harper was smiling throughout Thursday's episode and even after the scare at the hospital was very happy afterwards.  She must be loving all the time she's spending with Tane, especially now that he's started holding her hand.  I wasn't keen on her lying about being in hospital as she already kept the pregnancy from him and if this is going to work she needs to be honest.  I did think it would be an issue Tane committing to Perri but also committing to Harper re the baby.  Hopefully having to juggle both won't be too problematic going forwards.

The way Bree has been acting I would imagine it would be quite hard to work with her.  I've mentioned time and time again how I feel about Dana.  The "I don't want you anywhere near my sister when you've done a double-shift" line.  And the way she went crying to Remi about it when Bree called her out...pathetic.  Just about everything about Dana annoys me.  Going back to the way she was with Harper at hospital how caring she is.  She's never like that with any of her patients and it's also annoying how she tried to imply to Remi she was concerned about Bree.  Concerned my a*se (As I've mentioned multiple times she lacks empathy and compassion).  She's just out of shape because she doesn't like the way Bree spoke to her.
