Apologies if I've misunderstood you, but we've actually got two weeks to go: The last episode before Christmas is on the 15th.

I know, I hold my hands up, I've slapped wrist and stood in the corner.

Tane pretty much spelt out here than his bun and the oven it's in are his priority, with Perri being a distant second at best. At the start of the episode, despite knowing what's happened to Perri and that he needs support, he's still fawning over Harper and palming Perri off on Rose, without even the decency of a phone call to check on him, while Harper again makes a half-hearted attempt to suggest he goes to Perri and then goes back to preening herself at all the attention she's getting from him ("The obstetrician thought we were a couple": Could she sound any more like an adolescent schoolgirl with a crush? She'll be practising writing her name as Harper Parata next), at least until Dana was there to take over giving her attention. I'm glad Perri gave Tane that serve and was disappointed when they went back to being all buddy-buddy so quickly. I wonder how long that will last with Carl still hanging around though?

I thought of the comment about Bree having OCD when she started folding towels and especially when she was obsessively cleaning a fridge (whilst holding the door wide open so all the cold gets out and the food goes off!). And naturally Xander bombed off and didn't see her lose it with Dana...

Key observations: Tane was annoying. Harper was annoying. Bree was annoying. I liked the scene between Alf and Perri, and glad that the latter is observing the traditional proprieties ("Mr Stewart").

Tane is taking responsibility for his actions, it did take two and is taking them seriously.  Harper was told to have bed rest and both Tane and Dana have ordered her to not do anything, though I guess going to the loo is allowed. Harper did urge Tane to go and see Perri and I didn't see/hear it as being half hearted, but then I'm not a Harper hater. It would be complicated to explain her  and Tane's relationship to someone they've just met. Perri was upset about Tane let him down but when Tane told him why, he understood.  Rose was the best person to talk to about Perri's dad and she did get the AVO out on him, not that it did much good as we saw him lurking outside the Parata house, guess a tag wouldn't be allowed as he got off. He must have had a good lawyer, where did he get the money from?   Tane is behind Perri suggesting he take a course to help him get on in his job.

Alf was great with Perri, telling him people in the bay watch out for each other which would be new for him as I imagine he'd never had that before. Well Perri is a new boy so would call Alf Mr. Stewart, Mali did when he first arrived.

I think Dana is a good nurse, sympathetic and caring towards her patients. Any nurse/doctor has to maintain a certain amount of detachment. Dana  did tell Xander to go to work. I did notice he'd stayed overnight at Irene's.

How else are you supposed to clean the inside of a fridge if you don't open the door?  Bree did display this cleaning OCD after Remi had his accident, cleaning everything in his room, not allowing people to bring things in, wiping any magazines down, so it's not something new, these obsessions can be from something that happened from way back. Remi did pick up how she was so focused on it and the way she so precisely positioned her gloves, but wisely didn't push it.

Bree's wild eyed and almost demonic growling struck me as possibly the biggest red flags but she's still sane enough to pretend to the 'right' people, this is a slippery slope; I still say Dana needs to report to someone higher up, Bree is dangerous right now.

Maybe it does occasionally happen in real life, I don't know, but I'm struggling to believe that Bree got this bad this quickly. Were she and Felicity even that close? I know Dana is the resident sleuth and all, but surely it must be apparent to any/all of Bree's colleagues, and patients, that she's in a really unstable state?

As for Leah and Justin: maybe I'm behind the times, but since when was celebrating the anniversary of your proposal a thing? What next: celebrating the anniversary of booking the venue? 🙄

I think the fact that, about five seconds after telling Tane to go to Perri, Harper was swooning over him saying he's not going to leave her alone instead of pressing the issue means it qualifies as "half-hearted". It's all right saying Tane's facing up to his responsibilities with Harper, but he took on a responsibility with Perri too and that doesn't seem to mean as much to him.

I realise it's easy sitting here but Perri really missed an open goal there. Carl's obviously too much of a coward to do anything to anyone in public, and if Perri had made a fuss, he'd have a surf club full of witnesses to the fact Carl immediately broke his AVO. And I get that he's worried for Tane, but keeping it from him isn't going to make things any better.

I think we saw why Marilyn and Kirby get on here, with Marilyn being equally as much of a dog with a bone at "You should celebrate the anniversary of when you had to stagger around a wilderness suffering from dehydration and hallucinations to get help for Justin while he was crushed under stuff and dying from internal bleeding!" Even with Alf telling her to give it a rest.I had to double check the timescale to see if Theo was actually right about him seeing Justin with Claudia "yesterday". (Marilyn was wrong to say Leah and Justin got married last year though: It was this year!) Justin should be honest with Leah, but her inability to talk about Claudia without calling her "that awful woman" doesn't make it easy.

After Bree's performance here, I think even Remi has to admit there's something wrong with her. He seems to have been allayed by her promise to see a counsellor but will she?

Bit of mixed messages from Eden: Not too long ago, she was going to quit Salt because she couldn't stand to be around Cash, but now it looks as though she's upset at him avoiding her? Isn't that what she wanted?

I'm no expert but I think I know when Bree's OCD began.  When she was with Jacob, he controlled most of what she could do, where she went so cleaning up and washing everything was her way of getting some control  over her life.  She couldn't, in her eyes, control what happened to Felicity  so this is why it's come back again.  I remember her seeing a  counsellor after she killed Jacob which is likely why Remi suggested it.  He had clocked her agitation when she was tidying up his clothes and his room. Of course she used the universal  "I'm fine" lie when he asked. Whether she will of course is another matter, but hopefully he won't push it too much.

it wasn't just losing Felicity, has to be hard enough for any doctor when they are strangers  as you likely won't be seeing them again, but she'll be seeing Cash, Kirby, Eden and Mac  all round the bay. Different matter entirely if you had saved someone's life.

Was it really a year ago  her and Justin  were kidnapped by the cult?  That is a new one celebrating the anniversary of proposing?

Theo is really quizzing Justin about his behaviour and finally got his confession. Don't forget for us when we 'see' something' in H&A it's the next day, but in SB land it can still be the same day so it is possible.  Justin had to use that other old cliche "It's complicated"🙄 when telling Theo why he was still running Claudia around.  He didn't have to go into details but could have explained that her job was pretty vital that she can get to where she needs to be pretty quick.

Yes Perri could have kicked up a fuss, but Carl's appearance obviously scared the life out of him so wouldn't have been thinking clearly.  Tane can look after himself but there is Harper and the baby to consider.  Carl, who has been said before, isn't a total fool, he'd find out somehow about them and  add them to his list of people to go after to keep Perri in line.  I know the bay itself doesn't have  a huge police presence, Rose can't  be there 24/7 and it's only Tane and Perri know about Carl's AVO so no-one  else to report him.  Having said that about Tane being able to look after himself he has his own  restrictions  on how he can behave of course.

Alf, accidently, dropped Perri and Tane in it by  telling Carl to go and see Perri in the gym. Bree also snapped at Alf when he made a totally innocent remark.

That is the trouble with living in  a small town you're bound to bump into someone you have broken up with.  Maybe she could have coped if she known she would see him but seeing him face to face like that would be upsetting.  Wasn't it him not wanting to be around her? Talking of Eden, she has been in her own little cocoon so has only been made aware of Bree's struggles when Remi told her about it and like me thought she was blaming herself for Felicity dying.
