Return Of The Title Sequence!

I thought I'd park this here as although it's not on air on Channel 5 & RTÉ yet, it's nevertheless a big deal.

I'm so glad someone's finally said, "let's put it back." The theme tune probably means little to younger audiences who won't have grown up with the call-to-arms playing every evening, especially in Australia where it won't have even aired at the end.  However, it is iconic and in my not so humble opinion removing it was one of the single biggest mistakes the production made.

I don't care for the slow male version but the upbeat female version is a really solid update, and it's the first time in over 21 years the "And from the very first day I saw you" verse has been included.

Whilst it's been edited together with stock shots (albeit ones not seen outside Australia) it hasn't got the cheese factor the 2000's credits had.  It just lifts the whole production.  I'm so glad they've done this, it's such a positive move.

It took me 2 weeks to realise there were new opening credits as I always skip over the recaps. I haven't heard the female ones yet but I didn't like the make vocals. I just don't like that style of singing.

Enjoying the new season of H&A so far on Channel 5. I was looking forward to seeing the full opening titles as shown on certain episodes in Australia. I thought an episode that aired on 06 February in Australia was the first time we would see them - however those episodes on 5 that aired at the end of March did not have them

Does anyone know if 5 will air the full opening titles similar to when they do in the Australian airings? I would love to see them.

I am a week or so behind so maybe they are coming up.

This is exactly the thing I've been wondering about already today.  I'd have thought that they'd have appeared by now too, but as of Tuesday 8th's 5 Star episode, I haven't seen them yet.

I am 4 weeks behind, yikes. However I did have a look at the episode in which they should have aired. Regular opening. Are they not been shown here?

As of yet the UK hasn't seen the new opening titles and I am very disappointed at this as there are already 5 different sets of the opening titles already and was supposed to be shown in late March we are approaching the 2nd week in April 2025 now

That’s frustrating. Does anyone know who we can reach out to so we can understand further and voice our desire that we see the openings in the UK?

I would say Channel 5 but I also wonder if it’s worth reaching out to 7 in Australia, if they are responsible for packaging the episodes up for internal distribution. 

Does anyone have any contacts or ideas of how to best get in touch?

Unfortunately 5 won't be showing these new opening titles, they are for Australian broadcasts only
