There didn't seem to be much reason for Roo to play a trick on Alf, except her getting in a strop about Alf insisting they could never fool him. I'm not sure it really worked either, since he just turned up anyway. Am I missing a nuance here? Did Roo ask Marilyn to keep Alf away because she knew Marilyn would be terrible at it and Alf was bound to turn up anyway? Still, it's nice to see the stalwarts getting a decent bit of screen time together rather than the one token scene of them huddling in the Diner talking about other people's storylines that made up their episode counts last week. Talking of which, John and Roo's different perspectives on telling Gary about Cash was telling: John was thinking about it from the point of view of a parent while Roo was thinking about it from the perspective of an adult child.

At this point, I think Abigail would be perfectly justified in battering Eden about the head. So, to the surprise of no-one, and despite Remi trying to insist otherwise, Eden wrecked Abigail's counselling for the sake of copping off with a guy that she doesn't even really like. She's lucky Abigail's still trying to protect her, and probably doing a better job of it than Cash. He has to be bluffing Nerida, right? If he really could get her arrested just like that, he probably would. Unless his desire to protect Eden has got so self-destructive that he's decided to get himself shut up in jail before he does any more damage.

They must have built Alfs bait shop out of Lego how the heck did they build it that quickly and in secret the place is huge

Roo was being back to her usual very annoying self🤬 Getting the strop  because she  thought Alf was one step ahead of her, I think it was planned that Maz let him see the new bait shop as a surprise.  It was a bit tense as you couldn't guess how he would take it  but he loved it and lovely that Roo had kept part of the old bait shop so he hasn't lost all of it. It was good to see a bit of normality Oh and John got some genuine praise from Alf.

Anyways Roo is hardly one to lecture John for calling Gary without Cash's knowledge.  She hasn't has been as involved with him like John has  who's seen how it's been affecting him so good for him, although he caught quite  bit of flak once he broke the news to Cash.

It seems Abby has forgiven Eden for Tim dumping her so he could see Eden legitimately.    I think Eden did like Tim she was kind of flirting with him  when they first met but he came across as more into her than she was to him so maybe she felt she had no choice seeing he dumped Abby to be with her.  Cash, I'm supposing is staying away, part of his bail conditions perhaps, so it is down to Abby, and as we saw she did save Tim from Nerida. What exactly was Nerida planning to do, smother him with that pillow, that wouldn't have looked suspicious at all. 🙄

The nurse at the reception desk did just take Nerida's word for it that she was Tim's sister, as she didn't even ask her name, just waved her in the direction of Tim's room. On the subject of Tim's relatives, have they been informed he'd been moved and why have none of them been to see him?   I'm guessing, again, that Bree doesn't know what Nerida looks like as she wasn't  worried about this woman wandering about.  A bit off subject but Eden has supposedly has been sitting by Tim's bed all this time without moving, not going for food, stretching her legs, does that mean she hasn't even been to the loo?

Of course as happens in soaps just as Abby persuades Eden to leave the room Nerida slips in and it was pure chance - natch - that Abby went back and caught her.  Could/should Abby alert Rose what happened and arrange for a  guard to be posted outside his door?

It could be a bluff on Cash's part but as you said Red, maybe he feels that Eden would be safer if he is out of the way when we know that is so not the case. I don't believe for a  moment Nerida will just let it go.  Cash managed to track down the people who ran the boat service and got their CCTV which showed her getting on it, but wouldn't/shouldn't  the cops have checked that out?  They would have  been looking for him wouldn't they but Cash didn't use them did he?  He did, at least, tell Rose he remembered what happened but as she said without the  chance of Nerida confessing which would be very, very unlikely, it'd be down  to Tim coming around and being able to remember so backing up his account.

I guess Townsend gets a small amount of credit for actually speaking to Nerida but otherwise, despite a long queue of people lining up to tell him she should be a suspect, he's still sticking doggedly to his belief that it's an open and shut case and he's already solved it. Cash's attitude towards Gary reinforces that he and Felicity had more in common than he'd like to think: She could be pretty together at times, while he can be pretty self-destructive and push away people trying to help him. It's a shame Gary and Townsend didn't meet because he'd probably rip a hole in him more effectively than Rose has, but maybe that's to come. Still, Gary and Rose investigating on their own seems fraught with peril so we'll see how that turns out.

While I get the point that Mali and Abigail needed to be honest sooner rather than later, Mackenzie laying down ultimatums wasn't especially helpful. It's a moot point by the end anyway: They should probably have taken Mackenzie's advice to be more discreet if they're going to hide it, rather than kissing in a public place like that!

Despite appearances and the way Townsend is coming across I'm not totally convinced he believed all of what Nerida was saying.  Rose is off the case so he wouldn't be confiding in her would he?  I did like the way Rose got herself into the interview by saying quite rightly that as the interviewee was female a female  officer had to sit in so she caught him on the hop not giving him the chance to ask another female officer to sit in.  Abby did absolutely the right thing reporting Nerida for showing up at the hospital I know we know the truth but her explanation to Townsend and Rose about her still caring about what happened to Tim wouldn't have  washed with me.

Cash did give Gary very short shrift but glad he's sticking around.  Eden, at least, was pleased to see him. She'd also been able to unglue herself from the bedside chair. Cash and Felicity were more alike than it came across when Flick lost it she really lost it, though saying that she'd be giving him a real ear bashing for acting such a  dork.  All Gary and Rose can do is go over what Cash had found out by tracking Nerida's movements on that day.  Honestly if people don't want other people to see stuff they want to keep secret why do they just leave it lying around on kitchen tables? 🙄

Mali and Abby nearly got caught by getting close  on the beach and had to spring apart rather quickly but Levi was totally unaware.

Why would Levi need to be informed Tim had been moved to ND's?

Mac has been down this "If you don't tell him, I will" route before hasn't she?  That didn't turn out well last time, when Levi finds out she had known about Mali and Abby being a couple and not told him he will NOT be a happy bunny.  Anyways they've now been busted.  It is doubly tricky as Mali is her boss and fellow housemate so if they did break up and she could dump Mali it would be awkward for all of them.

We did have  a bit of lightness in all the shade, Mali checking out Alf's new bait shop and Alf's praise for his new sign which Mali designed.  He also loved his GONE FISHING  board.

Well, Levi dealt with that in a pleasingly level-headed manner, accepting Mackenzie's reasons for keeping quiet and talking to Mali in a reasonable way. It might have been nice for Abigail to give Mali a heads-up that he knew though! Levi's logic for basically saying "It will devastate Abigail if you break up with her so you should do that" was a bit lacking, even if he did try and explain later that he wanted to end things before it got serious. Anyway, Mali hasn't jumped the way Levi expected him to, having apparently decided that he can't be Abigail's housemate, boss and boyfriend but not dropped the one Levi wanted.

I really can't decide whether Tane and Harper are meant to be a really awkward and unconvincing pairing or if the show sees them as a long-term couple. As she said, at the hospital they seemed like a normal couple at times, but then you get episodes like this where it seems Tane's only with her because it's convenient and Harper is acting like a clingy schoolgirl with a crush who's wowed by the fact she's dating the cool boy.

I don’t think Harry Potter or Star Wars Lego sets have much to worry about with your Home and away Lego idea but I say go for it haha

Maybe you could build Remi a recording studio because his clearly not going to use his money to get one

Levi did deal with the fact Mac knew about Abby and Mali and hadn't said anything very well. Did he knew about her previous foray in giving ultimatums to people?  He treated Abby as an adult and not like a naughty child. I'm guessing Mac may have influenced Levi in the way he spoke to Mali.

There was a good reason why Theo broke up with Abby before they even started dating, which he explained to her, he'd been involved with Valerie who was a drug user and he nearly got hooked himself.  He was having counselling so couldn't take the risk  even if Abby is a recovering addict. Abby blamed herself but I think her counsellor has helped her to see it wasn't personal.  Only guessing mind, just my thoughts.

Only choice Mali  had really apart from dumping Abby as a girlfriend which wouldn't do her self esteem any good or firing her and she is good at her job.  So good try Levi.   At least there won't be any sneaking about with either of them ducking into each other's bedrooms during the night. 😉

There  are a lot of people who can't take Harper and Tane seriously as a couple because of their back to front way of getting together.  Is everyone forgetting he went in for a kiss on Harper not long after he and Flick broke up, and even if she had fancied him back then she knew it was the wrong time. He backed off  and they were just trainer and pupil.  OK they aren't a passionate couple, not that they could be at present seeing how far along she is,  but Tane and Flick were very passionate🤯 whether  snogging  each others faces off or arguing and look how that ended.  Maybe this way round it could work out.

Hardly a romantic proposal from Tane though was it?  Dane did dip her oar in but only because she's concerned  about Harper. BTW I don't know how secluded Irene is at her rehab but is Harper inviting Tane to stay over or rather his decision to move  in for a couple of nights been OK'd by her, it is her house after all.  Did she give them carte blanche as to what they could do?   Seems everything is still Ok with Dana and Xander.

Levi not making much sense.  Wants Mal to break up with Abby, but says it will devastate her if he does.  🤪

Not been more than a few months since Flick died and already Tane tying the knot with Harper.  So much for true love and being the love of my life.  However much they might like one another, you don't get over a loss like that so quickly.
